There's no rule of thumb in terms of what bands you can compare just for the fact that there are many different aspects that make a band great. Metal (to me) is the great unifier. Metal heads are almost like a cult: we are connected with our love of metal. Some listen to Poison (I don't), and some listen to Slipknot (again- I don't). But we LOVE agressive music. I feel so alive when I listen to Priest, Maiden, Manson, etc.
