true, solid tune. great dnb/liquid whatever...it doesn't matter what you call it. pads like clouds and beats alternating from near chaos to pure bliss. massive track from seba and one i'm sure will be a long time favorite of his catalog.
lol. no worries hypercatjohn. you have my vote. I grew up in the metal genre and the amount of rubbish spilt from the mouths of people who later couldn't and wouldn't accept different interpretations of a favorite genre, as Mr. Dragongo surely demonstrates by emphasising descriptions like 'real stuff' and 'ages before', that he is either stuck in a world where change is bad or/and he refuses go with the times and appreciate progress.
@tellurian01 It's just unadulterated stupidity. Someone listens to a couple of tracks and they're an expert these days. I've been caning jungle, dnb, breaks...whatever you wanna call it, for a looooooong time and I'm still learning, still chipping away, discovering...nobody can know it all
@tellurian01 Well said. Even though I've used the 'real stuff' lines before, you are right. People today are making music just as artful as the yesterdays. You just gotta do the searching. Everyone expects the good stuff to be in a spotlight...
ahh, upon looking at your profile and seeing what tunes you have there, I see you're a victim of the modern day, horrific, nasty sounding incarnations masquerading as dnb. This is where the real stuffs at my friend.
your upload is also miles away from real dnb. liquid was made after dnb was popularised.. music for masses :] .. not everyone can listen to neurofunk / jungle .. I'm not saying liquid is bad. I enjoy listening to it. but the "real stuff" was produced ages before chill tunes like this came out.
Hello everyone, here we have subject a. aubject a is what professional dnb lovers like to call...clueless. Insertion of nonsense, made up after the internet was invented, daft dnb sub genres is a case in proof of the sounds decline. "liquid" was a term coined by Fabio, this is well documented. The whole atmospheric sound pre-dates the term dnb, proof being the early releases of ltj bukem, his appearences at raves as early as 1991, which was even pre-jungle. So before you care to lecture..
who is immeasurably more clued up than you on the part and parcel history of all things breaks, take a second to sit back and think about how your comments might be received. Talking shit doesn't go down well anywhere son, especially here.
what did you say again? I stopped reading after you called me clueless. I formulated my reply politely enough not to get an offensive reply.I can only laugh how much effort you've put into your attempt to embarass me :D but despite your wall of text, it is still only statement against statement.I believe that you expect people to trust you due to that funny video in your profile, where you stand for 10 minutes in one place fooling around with the crossfader.oh wait, you call that mixing, sorry.
Ouch. Opinions are like arseholes, everyones got one. But unfortunately you have two, one where your bum is and the other where your teeth should be.
It isn't statement against statement, its hypercatjohn's facts versus your "polite", incorrect, and insulting replies. You laugh at how much effort he puts into his comment (even though it looks to me like he wrote it off the top of his head) and then you have to go to his account to try and find something to insult him with. Looks to me like you went through much more effort than him. All he did was call you clueless, which was actually pretty spot on in regards to your comment.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
First of all, this isn't liquid, liquid is like a mix between atmospheric, jungle, and mainstream dnb like pendulum, high contrast etc. This is closer to atmospheric with elements of neurofunk, and yes, liquid was made after the dnb scene was popular, but atmospheric dnb tracks were around way back in the early 90s when dnb was first coming out, atmospheric styles can easily be classified as "the real stuff" and "old school", just check out LTJ Bukem's 1991 releases.
yeah, papito914 u are right. I misunderstood u. Let's just agree that this is a masterpiece of DnB history!:) It creates a sick and dark mood artistically...superior to that 'artificial darkness' created by any darkcore.
I live in Portsmouth (UK) and would love to do a night with Seba on the line up. Unfortunately people round here only dig wobble jump up. Shame their too narrow minded to realise there is so much more to drum and bass than jump up.
exactly my problem with DnB... if it dont wobble with some prick shoutin 100mph down a mic, there not interested. this stuff is in a different class to shitty jump up
check out my january drunmfunk mix in my profile, the first tune is off it, tracks like blaze and fade out and as long as it takes are off the album and are amazing. buy it
dnb is pretty new to me, but i really enjoy it. Must have been Teebee & Calyx's "Warrior" which got me hooked on the sweet juice of dnb ;) Seba's great too and he's a swede like meself so that's nice too.
wow! this has blown me away. don't know anything about dnb but discovering this sorta stuff on youtube has turned me in to a fan. thanks for enlightening me!
I've followed Seba since his days at GLR, and this single has been 1 of my favorites post GLR and quite arguably one to stand the test of time. Fucking amazing, that dark bass rolls in 1:07 seamlessly...
The atmospherics at 1:45 and then baaam those paradox-styled breaks are insane.
This guy never seizes to amaze me just how good his production talent is compared to whats out there today. Great post hyper.
