overdubbed a second guitar and new solo, with the Marshall back at full volume. He did these with the Uni-Vibe, as well as a Leslie at the end."
While Hendrix never officially named this recording, the title "Pali Gap" was coined after the guitarist's death by his manager, Michael Jeffery. One of the producers of the ill-fated hippie docudrama Rainbow Bridge, Jeffery hoped the new title "Pali Gap" would further wed the song to the movie's Hawaaian locale. Originally marked on the tape box as "Slow Part", "Pali Gap" took form as the recording of the basic track for "Dolly Dagger" drew to a close. "As 'Dolly Dagger' began to come apart." explains Eddie Kramer, "Billy Cox started playing the bass line to "Gimme
The prelude has nothing to do with shooting a "hippie." Jimi had long hair, a mustache and a nonconformist outfit. The guy he shot had long hair, a mustache and beard, yet dressed in a conservative suit.
In the 60s we saw two Kennedys, Malcolm X and MLK, Jr., all shot with the hopes of stopping their messages. Jimi says to the speaker's audience after shooting him dead, "Pop that cork back on your goddamn head," meaning forget what you just heard.
Today marks another year since Jimi blasted off into the cosmos.. I often wonder what his thoughts were transforming from this physical realm into the realm of the unimaginable.. death is simply the process of leaving one realm to enter another. Fly on through the cosmos Jimi..

The United States Military is exposed for spraying Chemtrails. This is a Mainstream Media Exposure. I realize that you think listening to AM talk radio makes you an authority on a wide range of topics but I would advise you to crack open a history book. The US fell into the Great Depression in 1929 - Smoot/Hawley wasn't passed until 1930. The New Deal wasn't a bill at all. It was the name given to a series of programs introduced by the Roosevelt administration in response to the Great Depression.
I think people are misinterpreting the opening scene. Killing the truth tellers was the modus operandi of the 60s, and then Jimi says, "Pop that cork back on your goddamn head," meaning forget what this guy just told you. We need to see past that, and that is what I think Jimi's message here was, followed by some of the best music ever.
@bombomchronic - I couldn't make out what he was saying either, so finally I read what others had written and saw one person was off one letter of one word, cord instead of cork as I recall. And it makes a lot of sense. He was brilliant, though as with others in that category he's oftentimes misunderstood, as seems to be the case with this scene....
"Pop that cork back on your goddamn head." - Jimi
"The greatest weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed." - Steve Biko
I don't know what the current conversation is all about, but I thought the two eponymous albums put out after Jimi's death was pretty great. So was Hendrix in the West, which cut the chaff from that so so Isle of Wigt album
@Lamboragon - Television successfully has the people divided into two camps, while both sides censor the same things. Peace is peace, and it can be attained, but so long as people remain divided as the powers that be want, it won't happen. I've worked on elections for over a decade, and people who offer real solutions are censored by the media, both sides. They don't have to shoot them, they just censor them. If you do a search on me you'll see how detailed I've gotten into all of this.
@Lamboragon - Nonsense, but I don't care to get into this here. I have videos where we can get into this if you like. In short, "hippies" don't support paternalistic governments. Jimi certainly didn't, and to state you think we're better off with liars in office is ridiculous. Yeah, it's sad that people are shot, but this is the way of our leaders today with their global imperialism. No offense, but I wonder why anyone like you even watches a Hendrix video. Jimi was for peace.
Jimi says, "Pop that cork back on your goddamn head," after symbolically killing someone who was telling things those in power didn't want known, so the truth teller was killed in an attempt to quell the message. Remember JFK, Malcolm X, Bobby Kennedy and MLK, Jr., were all killed within 5 years. Killing the truth tellers was the modus operandi & I think Jimi was trying to get people to wake up to it. He was quite the visionary in addition to being a musical genius, far ahead of his time.
Probably Dylan & Hendrix being artists didn't want to be pigeonholed to any sort of movement. Dylan ejected from the folk movement the minute he was seen as its leading light.. Movements are basically static inflexible things, anathema to true artists who are constantly looking for new horizons.
@MrGondai - Jimi didn't hate hippies. He sang of peace and freedom, and this video excerpt here, the beginning, is about how truth tellers were far too often silenced and that killing the messengers only works if people, "Pop that cork back on your goddamn head," and don't think.
I'm most thankful for this upload & wish Quinn would change the description. Listen to Machine Gun, Straight Ahead and Message to Love, & claim Jimi Hendrix was an advocate of violence, towards hippies or anyone else.
@DrKenHildebrandt No one claimed him to be violent towards hippies, he didn't like them nor did Bob Dylan, even though they thought and sang of freedom and love, they were not hippies them selfs. They weren't violent towards them, they just disliked them. Don't assume violence just because I said hate.
@MrGondai - Jimi didn't dislike people. He loved people and longed that we organize and stand together. Read the words of Straight Ahead. Look at his body language, how unpretentious he was, how he loved to share his music, as per this video, mostly with "hippies." His message was togetherness. I've not the foggiest clue what Dylan's message was.
People equated hate with the violence in this video.
@DrKenHildebrandt Well you have got a point, I had not thought of it enough i guess. Dylan's message was pretty ¨hippie¨, but he did not mean people to take it that far, or in that way. he didn't resort to violence towards them as most of his crowd where hippies.
@MrGondai Jimi had an amazing sense of humour, for him to play a redneck gun toting hippy shooter, is just genius. I dunno who Jimi hated.... but I know he loved humour and making some of the best music ever.
@stikhi Redneck? or Black-neck? or is that prejudice? maybe an afro-american neck? when people try to take and reduce another to a label even in a parody of mockery, what is obviously something he feels is inferior to his own world-views demonstrates intolerance down at the level I think he's mocking?
Polarized on either side of any stance proves that everyone wants the freedom and understanding, but few will honor the other...do to others what you want done to you!
@Dns2080 its called irony or in this case parody also...and in an art film you just may find much of it. Jimi hendrix wasnt necessarily a hippie or a black panther. Artistically , you can say in this piece of film he chose to take the part maybe because : He is the guy giving the speech, and he is also shooting that speech because its true but not real. Its true and obvious and pure thinking but cannot be real for masses and is nothing more than false hope. I really think its just irony though.
JFK - reportedly wanted to have the CIA splintered into a 1000 pieces & scattered to the wind - shot to death on Nov. 22, 1963. Malcolm X - autobiography was 1 of the 10 most influential non-fiction books of the 20th century (Time) - shot to death on Feb. 21, 1965. MLK, Jr. - dynamic orator who sought a color blind America free from poverty & the Vietnam War - shot to death on April 04, 1968. RFK - wanted to end the Vietnam War - shot on June 05, 1968 & died the next day. Now please watch again.
@v19d, well im not a pot head, and i simply think that your debate is becoming stupid. and what exactly is your problem, randomly moaning about the monarchy?
I have been a fan of Jimi for many years and i also wish to hear this at my funeral ... pali gap .. a big hole in the ground where his music will survive ...
Jimi was really rather conservative-Joined to be a paratrooper and like most of was was for the war in vietnam until about 1968 when the tet offensive(even though we won that battle) it shocked most Americans-We realized the government was lying to us. It proved to us we were in a war we couldn't win. Not everyone was a hippie back then. I wasn't, they didn't bother me,i just had no interest in them. I really don't think you could classify Hendrix as a Hippie. He was just a great musician.
1:15 aint that the trippiest shit youve ever seen? must of made the hippies cry and weep for days. big brother always gotta put his business in your backyard
i wonder y he shot tht guy? u wud think jimi would be all against capitalism and shoot sumone else. but i havent really seen the whole movie just the songs.
@SirTokesAlot16 that's all their is to the movie, except the concert..why would he be against capitalism. he was a huge capitalist, just like the Beatles. Even Bob Dylan wrote a song condeming the hippies-To Ramona
@buskerbuoy Are you kidding? Jimi Hendrix just shot Uncle Sam! That was the most epic death scene I have ever seen. Especially when the dude's arm got stuck on the chair lol
remember jimi hadn't been gone all that long. people were trying to get anything by jimi. c'mon give us a break. i would have killed to have the access to jimi's music that is available nowadays
MY TAKE ON NEGATIVE COMMENTS? IGNORANCE SEEMS TO STILL BE BLISS.
I HAVE ZERO INTEREST IN EDUCATING. UNDERSTAND, JIMI WAS A PERFECTIONIST AND RAINBOW BRIDGE THE FILM HAD LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES OF ACTUAL FOOTAGE. I STAND BY MY ORIGINAL STATEMENT. THE FAMILY IS TOO BUSY SELLING JIMI HENDRIX INCENSE BURNERS. TO SAY RB WAS IN ANY WAY A DOCUMENTARY BELIES IGNORANCE. PLEASE DO SOME RESEARCH. TRY CRACKING A BOOK.
@chiefashley56 Actually, you should try and do some research.. The "color/sound experiment" that was Pat Hartley's "awakening" was directed by Chuck Wien and BARELY had any footage of the concert in it originally. Of course, Hendrix junkies like myself needed the footage, and it was released later.
The original soundtrack didn't even have any of the concert on it. The director's cut version (which adds about 50 minutes to the movie) is the one with the concert in it..
JIMI WOULD HAVE SUED THESE BASTARDS, WHY THE HENDRIX FAMILY DOES NOT BUY UP ALL THE EXISTING FOOTAGE AND PRESENT IT IN A CLASSY FORMAT, I DO NOT KNOW.
Jimi was the greatest. His tunes could sometimes sound like tunes i never believed exist, He was so much, he was so great, he could play all different styles of the phenomena we today call music. I don't even know if "The greatest" is enough to describe who Jimi was. He was a perfect creation of nature.. If I would look up to him I would see the creation of everything, the master of the universe, simply..
@pinkgoddess, No I don't remember anything at that age. I was 2 and my first memory is at 4 years old. I basically only existed at the time. Wish I could tell you everything about that day. But Jimi either whispered in my ear (girlfriend thinks he touched me) or he said something to me (which is what I think he did. Bent down and said something.) There's still plenty people alive today that have hung out with him etc.. I know it's not a big deal but I do love his music and he's one of the GOAT.

Last thought. In case anyone doesn't know this concert was Jimi's last on U.S. soil. Passed on a few months later from red wine and 9 sleeping pills that were prescribed to his clueless girlfriend and to be taken half a pill at a time, but Jimi wasn't familiar of the German brand called Vesperax .She contradicts her story so much that it's obvious she was covering up her lack of care for him in his last hours .His last performance was an informal jam in London with Eric Burdon and his band War.
@scarletisonfire YOU RECITAL OF THE EVENTS SURROUNDING JIMI'S DEATH ARE CLEARLY THE CONSENSUS OF OPINION. WE ARE IN AGREEMENT. THANKS FOR DOING YOUR HOMEWORK AND ATTEMPTING TO GET IT RIGHT FOR THE CLUELESS.
B.T.W.. When I go to YouTube it automatically logs me in under my daughter's log in. So no I'm not really 13 and a girl if you look at my profile. I can already hear the accusations, so I might as well clear it up. My Mother would get a kick out of talking to someone we knew back then (as I would too.) That's all. Peace
I'm wondering if anyone that was there(@ RainbowBridge concert) that was also from the "Banana Patch." My nickname back then was "Tree." I'm the little kid at the very end of this video on the stairs. Jimi leans down and says something to me, and I would almost kill to know what it was. Don't remember any of it (was only 2 yrs old.) Parents were "Sandi"& "Bob." It would be great to get in touch with anyone from the Banana Patch days. It was only 40 years ago (ha!.) Email is frackler@yahoo.com.

The Rainbow Bridge movie was financed by Jimi's manager, who thought it would be cool if Jimi did that shooting scene. Jimi himself did not like guns at all: listen to Machine Gun. The fact that he had to do that scene did not improve their relation...
jesus, that's heavy man...but really, I almost see him as the Babe Ruth of rock. this character that could only exist for a short time, at the perfect time....I was born in 1966, but kids today, say a 10 year old, he was born 30 years after his prime...he's almost mythical. Like "did he really exist"...like I think of Babe Ruth. The name is so huge.
@lilg855 - The scene is symbolic. The "hippie" was standing up to those in power, so he was bumped, just like JFK, MLK, Jr., Malcolm X and Bobby Kennedy, who were all shot dead within 5 years.
"Pop that cork back on your goddamn head." In other words, stop thinking about what you just heard. The assassins, & their backers, don't want the people to think & they don't want them informed.
"The greatest weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed." - Steve Biko
i shouldn't be suprised to see some one has tried to politicize the most "apolitical" musician there ever was,..but it was an eye opener to read some of the comments,
posted here,..chairman mao might be proud,...but jimi would tell you your mind is stirred up and the sediment is clouding your vision, thus you missed the point.
@jlambert321 - How was he apolitical, when he sang for peace during a time of war & did scenes like this?
Jimi told it like it is in songs like Machine Gun, Up From the Skies, Straight Ahead, Freedom, & many others. He sung about how we should organize, & that we're all "families apart," yet evil men make us kill one another in bogus wars.
If only we had musicians today telling it like it is as he did. They don't play his more meaningful songs on corporate radio much, if at all, do they?
Idiots trying to blame American politics on the Hippie movement. Delusional T-Baggers. It takes two wings to fly. It's a 2 party system and don't pretend it's not.
BTW.. I'm the kid on the steps to the stage at the end of this video and wish I could remember what Jimi said to me on his way up, but I was only 2 at the time. It was a great time to be alive!!!
"Hendrix is the number one guitarist of all time, and second isn't even in the same building." -Neil Young
@scarletisonfire Yea they pretty much helped the far left and a bunch of spoiled brat right wingers destroy America. We need a mixture of 7 parties to run America for the better. We don't need a European system of Government the far left made Europe almost a Continential region of anarchy. That's what the bad policies since the 1970's will turn America into a nation of anarchy and the world will kill itself off if America descends into anarchy. How will the world die try Nuclear Weapons.
Jimi lived during a decade when 4 prominent people stood up to the system at some level and all were assassinated via gunshot. Surely, as someone partially suggested below, this scene seems symbolic of what had happened 4 times in the past ten years at that time in the US.
Now they simply censor anyone who says things they don't want heard, so they never reach the level of being a threat.
The result is a disproportionate few of "the power elite" are still in charge over 4 decades later!
@SlinkShady I wonder when you will ever know how wrong the hippie movement was. You see what America does for the world today. Try it makes nothing to export.
@v19d It's nothing to do with hippies but everything to do with how the greedy elite make money these days by speculating on the stock markets and foreign exchange markets. You don't need a manufacturing base when you're making your money on stock and shares and foreign currencies. ie. you're being fucked by the greedy elite.
@SlinkShady Yes we do need a manufacturing. Are you a moron. America needs a energy base. Remember what those MSNBC people and the left failed to tell you is that in Wisconsin has so many houses for sale that no one can't get them sold. See even the left is greedy too. They can't accept change. Greed exist from both sides. Besides I'm looking for my dream living and not going to rely on WELFARE. I would love to sell insurance for a living. See in Maryland we have greedy people in Charge.
@v19d Who precisely needs manufacturing? That would be the people who need jobs (90% of Americans), right? Well, the powerful don't need a manufacturing base in the US because they can go overseas and get cheaper labour than in the US. So where have all the jobs gone, dufus? Overseas, right? America hasn't had a decent energy base since the 70s when they hit peak oil. Have you not bothered to check the facts? Who pays for that? That would be joe schmoe's like you.
@SlinkShady Obiviously America needs a manufacturing base and who needs a manufacturing people want that base. Check your facts a energy base and a manufacturing base is needed. The only true way you will get manufacturing to come back to America is tax foreign imports and reducing restrictions that send Manufacturing out of the country. Did you also know if energy is produced in America the royalities the Government gets can pay down the debt. It can pay for roads.
@v19d You don't get it do you. The reason there is no manufacturing base is because the greed merchants who run everything don't need one to make money. Higher taxes on imports would drive up costs for everyone and would not increase wages for anyone because they would still be cheaper to MAKE abroad. The US isn't the only market.
How do you propose the US makes that energy? It has peaked on it's natural resources 30 years ago. Grow a clue.
@SlinkShady Also under energy policies starting in the 1970's it was encouraged to reduce production and in the majority cases halted any drilling on shore. Its a fact you birdbrain. The democrats who ran congress in the 1980's had no courage to stop Factory closings and today the Democrats who are in Congress which is not the majority of those Dems don't want jobs coming back to America. You know McDonald's its one of the biggest liberal runned company in which it is a bunch of hypocrites.
@v19d Oh... my... god... I can't believe how stupid you are. The energy reduction policies of the 1970s was because they knew the resources were running out. It also had the added benefit of pushing more money uphill to the rich with higher pump prices. They can't force companies to not close down. They're PRIVATE organisations. They can only offer tax breaks which, clueless child, gives even more money to the rich elite.
@SlinkShady I want a free market where everyone who can afford to pay taxes just pays a 5 percent flat tax that but Social Security and Medicare be a separate rate. You know that mandate Auto Insurance is a fascist concept. If we rid mandate Auto Insurance then so many people can save money that can almost not be able to afford Auto Insurance. Of course you think that is crazy but part of a true free Market system the government gets out of the mandate people buy product business.
@v19d Good grief. Did you just parrot that off the Faux Noise vidiprinter verbatim? You really are a dumb fuck. You think you have a two party system in your country but all they are are two faces of the same corporatocracy. It doesn't matter who's in power. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer and that middle class you aspire to be part of is now being whitled away by any party under the orders of the greedy rich in your country. You're so brainwashed that you are not worth talking to.
@SlinkShady Oh boy you seem to live in a part of the world that is losing to thugs. You also forget no matter how many parties are in your parliament they won't really do anything about the thugs except just talk about how evil the thugs are. Look at your country for example your Queen does not what she is talking about with poverty. No wonder why people want to abolish the monarchy. That would save millions of pounds. Maybe England should rid Multi Culturalism for real. That would work.
@SlinkShady Sky news is owned by your Rupert Murdoch. Besides you must be on the boong again. Americans seem to notice the 2 party system does not work but established more then 2 parties in America and that would break up the 2 big parties. The House would like have 5 parties and the Senate 4 parties. The tiny 3rd parties would have a chance in 2 Senate Seats in a few states. The tiny 3rd parties would have a chance at 200 House Seats. Besides kindly take back George Soros and Rupert Murdoch.
@SlinkShady You know everyone would love to run Rupert Murdoch and George Soros out of North America. Besides I watch more then Fox News but not a fan of MSNBC.
@SlinkShady Your country has a TV Tax too. Well in America we don't tax your TV everyyear. Lets look at McDonald's it has no real respect for American holidays. It also has no respect for employees religious rights either. McDonald's for the last few years has taken away Employee fun that was sponsered by the Company. You see McDonald's thinks it can push down the throats of its employees things it has adopted from Europe like open on every holiday. Well guess what it dosen't work.
@v19d Besides also a lot of other companies from America that does Business in Europe have adopted its customs in America for its locations and it dosen't work either. But in Europe these American companies are told to close on its national holidays because 1 that is what they are tougher on. 2. the banks aren't even open. You see Socialism won't work in America because Americans don't like being told they can't educate their children at home. Not everyone in America likes Government schools.
@v19d Not everyone will bow to the Government either. In America right derived from a higher being not from Man. Your Prime Minister from the ww2 era hated the idea of Socialism. Something you aren't taught in your schools. Americans know about Winston Churchill. When Churchill was Prime Minister the 2nd time around Socialism was delayed for a long time. Besides remember months ago when a few punks almost killed Prince Charles. Of course your press failed to mention it was a lack of Security.
@v19d Besides SlinkShady why on earth does your Government not change anything about Royal Security. It seems a open carriage this day of instability does not work. In 1963 you have not seen a US President with a open top because JFK was killed and it proved it not work after that tragedy. Why does Britain continue such practice after the attempted killing of Prince Charles. Surprise the Royal Limo drove very slowly in the street of London.
I wonder what Jimi would think of the obvious observation that nearly everyone has missed the point of the beginning of this video.
It's about his revealing that killing the messenger is done to kill their message, yet it only works if people don't think, hence, "Pop that cork back on your goddamn head," 'Forget what that guy just told you.' 'Pop that cork....back on and stop opening your mind to the fact that we're all getting scammed,' even the leaders themselves if they thought about it.

And it makes a lot of sense. He was brilliant, though as with others in that category he's oftentimes misunderstood, as seems to be the case with this scene....

DrKenHildebrandt 7 months ago
@Lamboragon - Nonsense, but I don't care to get into this here. I have videos where we can get into this if you like. In short, "hippies" don't support paternalistic governments. Jimi certainly didn't, and to state you think we're better off with liars in office is ridiculous. Yeah, it's sad that people are shot, but this is the way of our leaders today with their global imperialism. No offense, but I wonder why anyone like you even watches a Hendrix video. Jimi was for peace.
DrKenHildebrandt 7 months ago

Its funny how Bob Dylan and Jimi both hated Hippies yet they where, 2 of the most important people for hippies.
MrGondai 9 months ago
@MrGondai - Jimi didn't hate hippies. He sang of peace and freedom, and this video excerpt here, the beginning, is about how truth tellers were far too often silenced and that killing the messengers only works if people, "Pop that cork back on your goddamn head," and don't think.
I'm most thankful for this upload & wish Quinn would change the description. Listen to Machine Gun, Straight Ahead and Message to Love, & claim Jimi Hendrix was an advocate of violence, towards hippies or anyone else.
DrKenHildebrandt 9 months ago
@DrKenHildebrandt No one claimed him to be violent towards hippies, he didn't like them nor did Bob Dylan, even though they thought and sang of freedom and love, they were not hippies them selfs. They weren't violent towards them, they just disliked them. Don't assume violence just because I said hate.
MrGondai 9 months ago
@MrGondai - Jimi didn't dislike people. He loved people and longed that we organize and stand together. Read the words of Straight Ahead. Look at his body language, how unpretentious he was, how he loved to share his music, as per this video, mostly with "hippies." His message was togetherness. I've not the foggiest clue what Dylan's message was.
People equated hate with the violence in this video.
DrKenHildebrandt 9 months ago
@DrKenHildebrandt Well you have got a point, I had not thought of it enough i guess. Dylan's message was pretty ¨hippie¨, but he did not mean people to take it that far, or in that way. he didn't resort to violence towards them as most of his crowd where hippies.
MrGondai 9 months ago
@MrGondai Jimi had an amazing sense of humour, for him to play a redneck gun toting hippy shooter, is just genius. I dunno who Jimi hated.... but I know he loved humour and making some of the best music ever.
stikhi 8 months ago 10
@stikhi Redneck? or Black-neck? or is that prejudice? maybe an afro-american neck? when people try to take and reduce another to a label even in a parody of mockery, what is obviously something he feels is inferior to his own world-views demonstrates intolerance down at the level I think he's mocking?
Polarized on either side of any stance proves that everyone wants the freedom and understanding, but few will honor the other...do to others what you want done to you!

Dns2080 8 months ago
@Dns2080 its called irony or in this case parody also...and in an art film you just may find much of it. Jimi hendrix wasnt necessarily a hippie or a black panther. Artistically , you can say in this piece of film he chose to take the part maybe because : He is the guy giving the speech, and he is also shooting that speech because its true but not real. Its true and obvious and pure thinking but cannot be real for masses and is nothing more than false hope. I really think its just irony though.

THE FAMILY IS TOO BUSY SELLING JIMI HENDRIX INCENSE BURNERS. TO SAY RB WAS IN ANY WAY A DOCUMENTARY BELIES IGNORANCE. PLEASE DO SOME RESEARCH. TRY CRACKING A BOOK.
chiefashley56 1 year ago
@chiefashley56 Actually, you should try and do some research.. The "color/sound experiment" that was Pat Hartley's "awakening" was directed by Chuck Wien and BARELY had any footage of the concert in it originally. Of course, Hendrix junkies like myself needed the footage, and it was released later.
The original soundtrack didn't even have any of the concert on it. The director's cut version (which adds about 50 minutes to the movie) is the one with the concert in it..

Jimi lived during a decade when 4 prominent people stood up to the system at some level and all were assassinated via gunshot. Surely, as someone partially suggested below, this scene seems symbolic of what had happened 4 times in the past ten years at that time in the US.
Now they simply censor anyone who says things they don't want heard, so they never reach the level of being a threat.
The result is a disproportionate few of "the power elite" are still in charge over 4 decades later!

@SlinkShady I wonder when you will ever know how wrong the hippie movement was. You see what America does for the world today. Try it makes nothing to export.
v19d 11 months ago
@v19d It's nothing to do with hippies but everything to do with how the greedy elite make money these days by speculating on the stock markets and foreign exchange markets. You don't need a manufacturing base when you're making your money on stock and shares and foreign currencies. ie. you're being fucked by the greedy elite.
SlinkShady 11 months ago
@SlinkShady Yes we do need a manufacturing. Are you a moron. America needs a energy base. Remember what those MSNBC people and the left failed to tell you is that in Wisconsin has so many houses for sale that no one can't get them sold. See even the left is greedy too. They can't accept change. Greed exist from both sides. Besides I'm looking for my dream living and not going to rely on WELFARE. I would love to sell insurance for a living. See in Maryland we have greedy people in Charge.
v19d 11 months ago
@v19d Who precisely needs manufacturing? That would be the people who need jobs (90% of Americans), right? Well, the powerful don't need a manufacturing base in the US because they can go overseas and get cheaper labour than in the US. So where have all the jobs gone, dufus? Overseas, right? America hasn't had a decent energy base since the 70s when they hit peak oil. Have you not bothered to check the facts? Who pays for that? That would be joe schmoe's like you.
SlinkShady 11 months ago
@SlinkShady Obiviously America needs a manufacturing base and who needs a manufacturing people want that base. Check your facts a energy base and a manufacturing base is needed. The only true way you will get manufacturing to come back to America is tax foreign imports and reducing restrictions that send Manufacturing out of the country. Did you also know if energy is produced in America the royalities the Government gets can pay down the debt. It can pay for roads.
v19d 11 months ago
@v19d You don't get it do you. The reason there is no manufacturing base is because the greed merchants who run everything don't need one to make money. Higher taxes on imports would drive up costs for everyone and would not increase wages for anyone because they would still be cheaper to MAKE abroad. The US isn't the only market.
How do you propose the US makes that energy? It has peaked on it's natural resources 30 years ago. Grow a clue.
SlinkShady 11 months ago
@SlinkShady Also under energy policies starting in the 1970's it was encouraged to reduce production and in the majority cases halted any drilling on shore. Its a fact you birdbrain. The democrats who ran congress in the 1980's had no courage to stop Factory closings and today the Democrats who are in Congress which is not the majority of those Dems don't want jobs coming back to America. You know McDonald's its one of the biggest liberal runned company in which it is a bunch of hypocrites.
v19d 11 months ago
@v19d Oh... my...
SlinkShady 11 months ago
@SlinkShady I want a free market where everyone who can afford to pay taxes just pays a 5 percent flat tax that but Social Security and Medicare be a separate rate. You know that mandate Auto Insurance is a fascist concept. If we rid mandate Auto Insurance then so many people can save money that can almost not be able to afford Auto Insurance. Of course you think that is crazy but part of a true free Market system the government gets out of the mandate people buy product business.
v19d 11 months ago
@v19d Good grief. Did you just parrot that off the Faux Noise vidiprinter verbatim? You really are a dumb fuck. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer and that middle class you aspire to be part of is now being whitled away by any party under the orders of the greedy rich in your country. You're so brainwashed that you are not worth talking to.
