  • Anyone fortunate to have known Brad personally was blessed. He was such a humble and friendly guy. I think stardom made him uncomfortable. I was lucky enough to have gotten to know him years ago...late 80's into the mid 90's. I hadn't seen him in years when I learned of his passing...but I was deeply affected as I'm sure many were. It's a loss that I don't think will ever get easier..that's how kind he was....

  • Wow :) Brad your voice is A +++

  • Thanks for posting :)

  • barry g got lucky period.................

  • Appropriate screenname!

  • haha are you serious ? LOL

  • Tom and Barry. Two great guitarists . Perhaps that's why they couldn't get along well enough to continue playing together. You know, jellowsy of the other's ability.

It happens all the time between talented musicians. And that's sad.

Brad, well, that was no competition. He was the best.

  • tom got way too much credit. the band doesn't sound the same without barry. and the world lost one of the greatest rock singers ever.

  • One of the many benefits Brad & others volunteered for without hesitation. This was just four months before Brad's untimely, tragic death. The world not only lost a nice guy and a humble rock legend, it lost a great humanitarian who used his gifted voice for great causes that he believed in and e would also just jump in to help in his own community. God bless you Brad!! Karri

  • A beautiul man :)

  • Awesome. Thanks so much for posting this. RIP BRAD.

  • Brad is dead? How did he die? Was Lisa Guyer sad, did she know him well?

  • Ok, I found out. How long ago is this particular performance from?

  • You may be gone Brad but we can't forget about you!

    RIP

  • Gotta Love it !I LOVE IT MINUS THE LIRCH !Just listen :)

  • i met barry last night, he signed my guitar. he is such a nice guy & a great guitarist! rip. brad

  • So true the man with the golden voice ! Damn at this point and still has the chops ! Hello name a rocker today with Brad`s vocal ?

  • what a tradgedy, i saw Mama Kicks two weeks back in Londonderry,New Hampshire at Whippersnappers,my brother in law playes Bass from time to time with the band. it was agreat show!, would have loved to see this show too.

  • nice!

  • I think this is the first time I've seen Barry playing something other than his SG.

  • A+ !!!!!

  • Unfortunately I never had the chance to see Brad in person He truely had the heart and the voice of an angel, he will be greatly missed. Thanks for posting this and keeping his memory alive. God Bless Mike Briggs, his family and friends.

  • This was a tribute to Mike Briggs MPD 83.He was senselessly shot one year ago tomorrow. He died the next day. I loved Brad too. But lets not forget the brave men and women who lay thier lives on the line for our safety.

  • Wow really ?

  • Man, I live a half an hour away from here and I really wish I had gone! Especially knowing that this was probably Brad's last time playing a Boston song.

    So damn sad.

  • I think this was his last time playing a boston song. RIP Brad.

  • Fran Cosmo is a good vocalist but he will always stand in the shadow of Brad. Tom actually learned how to play guitar from Barry...true story. Most of the songs from the first album were written by Barry but reworked by Tom thus giving him more credit then he deserved. Makes you wonder if Tom is really about the music at all when hes suing everyone.

  • Barry created and played the leads for Long Time, the intro and outro leads for Don't Look Back, the solo for Used to Bad News, and all the guitars for Let me Take You Home Tonight

  • Popper really had a great time. When Delp started singing he realized who it really was and was all smiles. Everyone was really good to perform for such a great cause!

    David Stefanelli

  • Thanks David! Thanks for hanging with me outside before this performance talking with Joe Haliday and me. I won't forget the talk us three had in the chilled air that night. Then Josh Logan came over to talk. Man, what a night.

  • A GREAT night! Yes, indeed!

  • YES !!!! This is such a treasure ! Thx Howlin for keeping this awesome clip up :)

  • thank you 13oniram13 i checked it out and thats a good last performance from Brad. Just wish he was still around.

  • Brad was replace on Walk on. If you can call it a replacement. No disrespect to Fran Cosmo. Brad was

just the greatest. He really can't be replaced.

  • awesome song! Is this the last time Brad was caught on film?

  • Don't know if anyone has answered you but there is a vid that is slated to be the last recording of him on 3/2/7. Search the user kstrange and they have it posted.

  • WOW !!! Yes he can actually sing unlike the losers of today !!!

  • an unbelieavable voice, will never be equaled. quite possibly the most tragic suicide in Rock music history! RIP, Mr Brad Delp, voice of Boston.

  • Does anyone think Brad can be relaced and we will have another Boston?

  • That's idiotic. Of course not. Replace Beethoven and Ray Charles while you're at it!

  • Wow, what a treasure. Thanks for posting this.

  • Brad we will NEVER forget you now that you're gone, that lyric couldn't be further from the truth... The greatest singer, now gone...

  • R.I.P Brad You will be missed...Your musics will always be with us...My heart go to Boston ( the band )and his family

  • I saw them in Lex, KY in mid 80's...CD perfect sound! The MOST underated band in music history. Their sound was so unique and ahead of the times. RIP

  • Thankyou Brad! :(

  • We won't 'forget about him when he's gone'! A timeless voice and a true rocker...RIP

  • Gone but never FORGOTTEN.. One of the Greats

  • So...what I heard on the radio it was an untimely death... suicide ???

  • I was cruising the NewHampshire coastline around 3:30 pm listening to hitch a ride on the radio when I heard the sad news :( Besides his incredible voice what I remember most is Brad`s gentle friendly personilty :)

  • RIP Brad I heard the news on the radio around 4pm So sad :(

  • A phenomenal voice - truly one of a kind guy. So sad.

  • Cool stuff, thanks Kaby....We'll all miss Brad a lot!!

  • Thanks Brad, You'll be missed.

  • nah we won't forget ya Brad -- peace bro

  • One of the ALL TIME GREAT Rock vocalists...I don't think he ever got enough recognition for that amazing tenor pipe of his! Rest in PEACE, Brad.

  • RIP BRAD

  • Brad Delp, the lead singer for Boston, a huge rock sensation in the 1970s, was found dead Friday in his home,He was 55.

  • Good stuff!

  • scholz is a dink...always suing someone! a bitter fuck indeed, plus totally against meat eaters!

  • yeah, i pretty sure that Scholz helped to create the guitar solo, but barry was playing them live because Scholz was playing the piano and brad only played the rythmic guitar

  • "Did" Sorry its Christmas LOL

  • yes sorry had a few beers last night ! LOL Well it seems Barry didnt most of the solos live and his solo guitar work has the same feel and phrasing :)

  • The BIG question ? Tom is the sound but is Brad the music ??? I think its Brad`s Guitar style that really is Boston:)

  • You mean Barry and not Brad right? Yeah, I don't think Tom played much guitar on the 1st Boston album.

  • No disrespect to Barry who is an AWESOME guitarist but it was actually Tom who played all guitars on the first 4 albums. Barry was brought in to be part of the "Band" after Tom and Brad got signed.

  • Man....where do you get your erroneous info? From the Tom Scholz propaganda machine? Sheesh! Barry created the lead work for Longtime AND played it on the first LP.

  • huh? buzzzzzz wrong answer , dufis!here's 1 4 ya ... WHO played guitar on You Really Got Me? [Kinks Version]

  • @atomicplayboy4u Yeah ;)

  • Please come to southern California Brad, please!

  • I was there for this and it was very cool.

Wish they could have done more.

It was an honor to be there not only for this performance but also to be apart of the support for the family of officer Briggs.

Our prayers are with his family.
