  • Their is a Brit or Canadian documentary explaining Wittmans demise took a shell in the rear left quarter at 150m well inside killing range. Some of the other claims are a bit hyped about a Brit tank killing 3 tigers with 3 shots at max range same time. Photos show area massivly shelled. Also all tanks were hit by rockets there was probably too much going on to know who really hit most of the Tigers other than Wittmans

  • Wittman killed by Either the 1st Northamptonshire Yeomanry or the the Sherbrooke Fuisilier Regiment aka commonwealth forces so no the Yanks did not kill him. a Typhoon Rocket would have left nothing but alot of small debris, whish is not the case.

in this video it shows the spot where he had to abandon his tiger after his attack on Villers-Bocage after his tank became disabled.

  • @BadAssElite there was a programme on not long ago where they assessed the positions of the british and canadian tanks in relation to where Whittman was killed. they concluded that he was killed by a canadian sherman as it was well within 150ms of the canadian tanks. hoper this helps

  • wittmans tiger was tagreted & k/od by american planes, w rockets,either the p 51,or p 47.

he and crew were instantly killed and the turret launched 80 ft straight up,

wittman was just a great soldier,,schlafft in ruhe ,

    nemyetski soldat'yi

  • The Wittman action at Villers-Bocage was fought in two phases, the first phase outside the town at point 213, the second phase in the town, this is the point in the town where Wittman's Tiger was knocked out. I know some of you Nazi lovers out there don't like to accept that your hero was knocked out but this is where it happened, his own report confirms he was hit by fire from an anti-tank gun.

  • Where do these fools come from? It's still where his tank was knocked out.

  • @ajdinsdale No it's where he abandoned his tiger up against the wall after getting stalked in town. This is neither the Villers Bocage fight location or where he got killed

  • If you are talking about the attack by Whitman on a column of tanks, it was up the hill towards Caen. If you are talking about the place where Whitmans tanks was knocked out by 5 shermans, that is far away at Cintheaux near the Canadian cemetery.
