Well, I'm fifteen and I have pretty much the same problem, not enough money. But you should tell your parents. I'm finally going to tell my mom that I want to be a boy. It's really hard, but it needs to be done, because I'll never be able to afford it without her help. Just tell them, hopefully they'll understand :) Good luck
@GaGatic It's actually pretty cheap to get started on hormones... without any insurance... hormones are still really cheap (Estrogen Shots are $10 per month). I have just started my transition (I am 17)... I might be able to help, feel free to message me :)
im 14 born female i feel male i have always known really my plan is raise money then when i turn 18 instead of going to collage ill go change my name get top surgery prob not bottom then when im 19 ill go to collage with my parents money
wow sounds like you have it all planned out. i honestly wish i would have done this when i was younger. props to you for planning this all out now that you're young! do your parents know about this?
I agree, the younger the better.ive known when i was 8 years old.i had a hard life because of not transitioning younger.but it's never too late.thanks
Don't take this the wrong way, because it's meant to be a compliment. I've seen y'all a few times and always thought it was a trans man and his beautiful bio-girlfriend. Rock on, girl. You both look great, though. :)
haha jennifer will love to see this comment. it always feels nice to hear someone say you look bio male or female. =). thanks for the comment buddy, i'll share this with her!
I thought the exact same. Anyway, good video. Being 23 now I look back and wish someone would have realized and gave me this option... I too feel I would have probably grown taller and I would have continued life normally (withdrew when I grew breasts and people realized i was "female")... Now ive wasted YEARS of my life in hiding (literally) from the world due to complete shame in this body. The only danger of transitioning when young is some of these kids do not grow up to have GID.
ooh, gender odyssey?!?! tell me more! or i can just look it up. . . :P y'all got me all curious now though. haha
i completely agree. almost EVERYONE i've ever known (myself included) has known and understood if they were queer/genderqueer from about a kindergarten age (when you start interacting with others your age and start becoming gendered, i suppose).
fun video from two beautiful people! and while you're in san diego, check out pacific beach. the nightlife is FANTASTIC. ;)
it's a conference in seattle, runs every year and i believe it's on memorial day weekend? check it out, they have a website with all the information. i really wanted to go!!! who knows, maybe we still can go. tickets are more expensive now though =/.
ooh ok we will definitely check out pacific beach! thanks for the info! and thanks for the comment =)
It does seem like parent are more understanding/ willing to accept situations more now then they were ,even 10 years ago. I think the more people learn..the more they will acept/ understand. Props for doing this on Youtube and sharing your expiriences, You guys are the freakin best!
definitely. i hope that people continue to educate themselves and in the future when parents find themselves in this situation they embrace it and provide their kids with the means to become the person they should be. Thanks for the comment =)
its long been held that parents always know whats best for children. i disagree. children know what they need. the only thing they lack is the means to attain it.
haha honestly if it wasn't for me having to wear a binder for 4 weeks post surgery i would TOTALLY do it! I really want to do it for San Diego pride lol so hopefully my body will be in good enough shape by then. i have lots of cardio to do in order to get rid of these blasted curves! aww that's so awesome about the dream, that gives me good thoughts and feelings now!!! thanks ami! =) i'm trying to not even think about anything negative now going into surgery. =) this helps, thanks buddy!
glad my dream is helping you. i had meant to tell you about it after it happened but i kept forgetting. yes, only positive thoughts and energy! you are so close!
yes it was totally awesome watching these families embracing their kids and getting them through transition so early in life. i wish i would have said something to my parents at that age...
