  • youtube-whoring-lo life nigger

  • awesome video...thank you, as always for sharing!

  • Great Video! How often do you trim? Also, I'm trying to get my daughters waist length hair to all be even without layers. She's natural and I usually put her hair up in twist. Should I cut the very back about 3 to 4" until the top catches up? Her last trim was in June.

  • @honeycomb368 I trim when necessary which usually winds up being once or twice a year. The reason why I don't trim more often than that is because I don't apply any heat to my hair, and I keep my hair moisturized, especially my ends. As far as your daughter goes, it's soley up to you and her when and how much you should cut until all the layers are gone.

  • hey shida. thx for the vid. can you tell us the ingredients in the ashea shea butter pomade?

  • @bashmentgyrl00 This is what is stated in the list of ingredients: African Shea Butter, Ashea's Herbal Complex, Vitamins A, D, & E, and Fragrance.

  • I adore you girl! so funny

  • lol

  • Jawn! Definately lives near Philly. LOL!

  • Hey girl... I got ur msg bout ur new channel. I like ur new name better than the old one, even tho the old one wasn't so bad. I meant to tell u that ur hair is growing so beautifully!!

  • Glad to see you back on the tube. You've been missed.

  • I've missed u guys

  • Great tip...I never knew what to do with my over size hair nets like that and now i do cuz the bonnett gives me a lot of shrinkage

  • I also like to wear my net underneath my knitted hats to prevent moisture loss from the hats.

  • You are such a sweetheart!! I love your personallity, you are the type I could just be cool with:) Great Video!

  • Heyyy!!! =D

    lol

  • Where did you purchase the Ashea product?

  • I, myself, am a retailer of the Ashea product. Read the description box.

  • You are so enthusiastic, bubbly, and spunky - I love viewing your videos - you make me smile

  • Aww

  • Miss u 2, i did a video a while ago asking all my naturals there winter tips and hair styles.

  • I know.. I saw it.

  • i really like big twist because they look fuller for like updos and styles like that so yea love your hair

  • yea, me too

  • I do the trim while my hair is twisted too!!!! Yaaaay. I was wondering if that was a dumb thing to do but when I trim my hair any other way, I cut too much. I dont know what a split end looks like lol. I like that method though. Much easier and I only trim what I needs to go.

  • A split end looks like a 2-prong fork at the end of your hair strand, and if you don't trim off the split ends, it will keep splitting up the hair shaft and you won't see your growth. I think the Trim While Hair in Twists method is the best method, especially for those who are trying to grow their hair long.

  • You havent! Glad to see you!

  • Glad to be seen! lol

  • Hey Shida! Good to see you again!

  • Thanks bs24

  • Hi Shida, glad you're back! How often do you trim your hair? Thanks :-)

  • Hey FathPeach... I don't trim my hair too often. I only tirm once a year now. I don't put any heat to my hair and I keep my hair hydrated and moisturized, so I don't have to trim as much. I trim in the cooler months, and I only trim my hair using the trim while hair in twists method.

  • Thanks for responding. I have heard naturals say that they trim every 8-12 weeks whether they have damage or not but I don't see the point. I've trimmed at least three times since I've been natural (May 2009) and I think I'll follow your lead and lay off. I don't use heat at all and I moisturize very well. So thanks for the tip. :-)

  • QUESTION- does the ahea pomade leave a greasy residue?

  • No, the Ashea pomade does not leave a greasy residue, and a little goes a long way.

  • Good to see you, your hair looks great as always, thick and pretty.

  • yea, it has thickened up and got longer. i'm amazed when i compare my recent videos to my older videos, and see how long my hair has gotten.

  • Missed you! And yea I'm rocking that style now lol! It looks good on you!

    Gvann

  • Hey Gvann... I'm seeing a lot of us rocking the 2-strand twists lately.
