You're right to an extent, but sometimes the psychology of your brain is only controllabe to an extent. Can a schizophrenic (probably spelled wrongly XD) person control that aspect of their mind? I realize eating disorders aren't quite on par with schizophrenia, but my point is that once a mindset sets into your brain, it can become more and more difficult to control, and eventually can become completely beyond control.

Its funny because the same thing happens to me and i'm suffering the complete opposite, binge eating disorder. This ad really shocked me the first time I saw it, but I think it's more accurate in its portrayal of Body Dysmorphic Disorder than anorexia. Sure, anorexics often think they're fat when they're severely underweight, and anorexia is mostly accompanied by BDD, however, not everyone with anorexia does also suffer from it. I am a recovered anorexic, and when I looked in the mirror, I could see my bones. I could see that I was frightfully thin - it was just a question of not being thin enough.
