  • Soon, my bloody valentine's just tomorrow.

  • Music will never be created this good in the modern age

  • @Tetrahydracanna give it time, it'll come round again

  • i went through the album for the first time today. infact i just heard of the band online less then and hour ago. im really glad i got to listen to this, im going to need a hard copy of this tomorrow.

  • @bigwrench01 What the hell? I just did the same thing last night and yes I heard about them last night as well... huh

  • Spine tingling, as it was then back in the day.....:)

  • Just awesome, but repetitive...

  • @Messagedepaix - lots of shoegaze was really repetetive. Most of us were completely tripping right the absolute fuck out of our heads at the time and just wanted to sink into it and have our heads blown off by colossal amounts of head-blastingly loud beautiful sound with expanded sensory capacity because our analytical functions were shut off. Ahhh, the high, the love.... it was a lot of fun.

  • @alwaysthirsty100 Don't, loneliness is underrated. :)

  • CALM AS THE COLOUR check this band out :-)

  • 7 minute version? OH YEAH!!!

  • I love the song but it kinda makes me feel sad and remind me I'm alone.

  • my fav song from this awesome but somewhat overrated album

  • Luckily I got the chance to attend their gig 3 years ago, this song crushed bones live, the counterpoint of noise/melody was 1000x bigger than on the album, it was like one of the guitars screeched a wall of grinding noise all the time

  • Dunno if it's just me, but i feel like Deftones could have been inspired by this band. Not trying to get into a silly interwebz debate, just my opinion

  • @aMomentofBeauty they are. chino has said it before :)

  • @aMomentofBeauty Oh sure, I think ALOT of those kinda bands are inspired by MBV

  • DAT BASS. DAT FUCKING BASS. it's so good it's nasty.

  • @ri394 Albatross PIL my friend. Use a proper system and not compression and then just ....believe.

  • @fleaby I'm surprised I'm a big enough music nerd to understand what you just said there.

  • Love this song so much. MBV has heavily influenced my band Spotlight Kid.

  • anyone played the original Spyro trilogy? sounds like the awesome music from that

  • @r4bb1tr1pp3r it does sound similar, good ear! makes one wonder if Stewart Copeland listened to these guys at all

  • this guitar will consume you.

  • 20 years of this beautiful album. The best album of 90's

    (L)

  • @AnthonyRSlz, eh, there were better albums in the 90s. This one was good, but definitely not the best.

  • always loved this album..

  • I've come to think that Loveless is probably the greatest album ever recorded... I mean, where you can find songs like this, or like "Only Shallow", or "Sometimes" on the very same album??

  • Who need drugs when all you have to is hit the play button?

  • @PHALANX100BC Why not both?

  • @PHALANX100BC it's because we want to escape from people like you

  • after this song the band disappears into the stratosphere. absolute perfection.

  • Erm....

    What?

  • Every person who calls themselves a lover of music should have a copy of this record! They should then tell every person they know about it!

  • word vrem is an idiot how could they rip off coldplay. matter of fact some bands are 's influenced by this band. this is one of the must have rock cd's of the 90's there a few others.

  • @royalnash actually I am just a troll trying to piss you off, and clearly I have succedded! I come from 4 chan where we get LULZ from silly people like you who take our flame bait. now because I have pwned you I win internets, and you lose, good day sir!

  • saying lulz , troll and pwned in the same sentance make's me think you don't get out of the house very often ...

  • @CanadianChronic2121 I get out of the house on a moderate basis.

  • @vrem Wow, fuck you newfag.

  • @vrem I wouldn't be so quick to associate myself with trolls if I were you, troll.

  • @doubleder sorry...

  • @vrem

That song was released in 2008. This one was released in 1991. Who ripped off who?

  • this song could keep on going on and on and on...beautiful

  • heay you a yaaa yu. you too to younfg something to sound like foo so funn f soo, f in the ace, for u

  • this is a dream while stoned

  • I'm 14 years old and I freaking love this song

  • @imdaman0000 I'm 14 and I love this song too. Yay for 14 year olds with good taste in music.

  • @imdaman0000 hey man no matter what age great music is great music. im an old bugger now but at yr age i discovered the scientists 'blood red river' and husker du's cover of 8 miles high with my 11 yr old brother. great time to find amazing music out there!!

  • Tesis sobre Loveless:

  • Five dollars? Shit, for what this album has done for me, I owe it everything.

  • when is this song gonna come out? sometime, in the future...

  • Does youtube have a repeat or playback function? Coz I want this to play over and over again.

  • @whipwhip No but there are websites that provides that functionality. Google search: youtube repeater.

  • I like this with wine.

    :P

  • I just bought this album new for $7.99

  • Check that. It was April 2009.

  • Saw them in Denver in 2008. i refused to wear the ear plugs they pass out before the show. My ears were ringing after the show but I did not care. In fact they were ringing for days. Amazing performance.

  • but on the real the rest of the album does not hold up to there most popular song only shallow.

  • oh yeah i stole at the library along with 30 other cd's not all at once when i go there i usually steal one or two

  • what a great tune!!!! dream tone.

  • esta super bn la cancion^^ me encanta este grupo merci^^

  • This song is just epic! EPIC!

  • This song make me feel a feeling that I cannot describe or comprehend. And I love it.

  • I herd this song a couple months ago and it sounded like messy, fuzzy guitar and i could barley hear the singer. But then i googled Shoegaze music. AND NOW I FREAKIN LOVE THIS SHIT

HANDS DOWN, BEST BAND EVER !!!

  • @sspuFORlife you just now heard of shoegaze this song has been out since the early 90's lol

  • yeah, i know, that was not me. hackers ( aka my sister who is 10)

  • @sspuFORlife

    your sister is awesome.

  • @manka6

go choke on a turd. first of all there's no such thing as a "cool hipster", that's an oxymoron. second of all hipsters don't listen to MBV. shoegaze fans yes, hipsters no. wrong category. get your facts straight

  • @ZeroModa I seriously don't remember writing that.

  • a bliss bomb.....

  • Musical orgasm

  • @curtisrunstedler An eargasm.

  • reminds me of the reptile house in grand rapids michigan.shoe gazer chicks unite one more time

  • we're listening to this, and we jsut had some Salvia

    IT'S AMAZINGGG!!!

  • My Bloody Valentine were the riff fuckin masters. Nobody could write guitar/keyboard/synth/whatever licks that stick in your head like Kevin Shields.

  • It's unexplicable how this song makes me feel. It's amazing.

  • ive heard this band before... but i didnt really appreciate music when i was younger...

Now i see what a incredible sound gets this band, it is unique, i understand now why kevin shields was on the top 100 guitarists in the RS magazine.

  • After all these years, I think I've accepted this to be MBV's best tune. It starts off like something a Madchester band would do, but then that classic MBV wall of sound erupts any motion of Madchester sound. It is the band's most progressive track.

  • God I love this tune!

  • Best album of all time. No competition.

  • shoegazin' full on!

  • Great album

MBV is one of those bands thats truly unique and inspiring. Theres nothing that sounds like this

  • When it came out I thought it was so amazing that it would be the future of music, but it turned out that Nirvana was. I guess anyone who wants to emulate this record has the problem that even if they do a great album they cannot top this. Truly wonderful ambition and execution.

  • The future of this music is now. Virtually every indie band that isn't going the "world music" route (and a few who are) owe a lot to MBV. Alot of people are trying to basically make this album again, and it just wont be the same.

  • Rhytmically it's a lot like stone roses

  • Awsome Song :D

  • To not include this album in a 'best album list' should be considered 'criminal'

  • i just discovered this band less than 3 yrs ago. guess i made a hell of a choice

  • you ever listen to this song on weed?

  • @foofighter341

    More like the whole album.

  • @bnugia2 Yeah, especially Blown a Wish and To Here Knows When really give you a surreal, dream-like experience then. The Tremolo EP is also very good when you're high :)

  • @bnugia2 i think dont need because this song is more than fantastic without any kind of amplification !!!! this tune is noise melody defination!

  • it's the law.....

  • @foofighter341 well it was recorded on weed so I guess it is just congenial to listen to it on weed as well

  • @foofighter341 doing that as we speak

  • I like sooooooooooooooo much weeed, but this song.....,no neeed weeeeeeeeedd. I'm always flying with or without . ciao 8-)

  • @foofighter341

    theres nothing else like it

  • @foofighter341 i listened to the whole album on shrooms....

    WOW!

  • @foofighter341

now! First time with my bloody valentine on weed!

    perfect

  • @foofighter341

On on weed right now. tyvm.

Went to see this lot at the Roundhouse a couple of years back. Literally took the fucking roof off.

When they played the encore with You Made me Realise it was so loud and full-on that almost everybody had their hands on their ears. I went down to get a beer at the bar and loads of people were leaving. I lent back against the bar with my pint, looked up to where i'd been sat to witness my mate going fucking nuts nearly falling over the balcony.

  • @foofighter341 or acid.

  • Comment removed

  • i was tripping my balls on off on lsd the first time i heard this album.

  • jeeesus, and i thought david bowie's low on acid was amazing. why didn't i think of loveless before!

  • i used to listen to this song when on ecstasy. twas wonderful.

  • This so takes me back to 1989/1990! : )

  • I think that I'm the only chilean that..know..love and saw these awesome guys..!!!

  • i love you

  • The best shoegazing band ever, sooooo good to come up to.

  • this track has such an addictive beat, not to mention all the other layers of sounds.

  • I just bought this album used for $5, today! :-)

  • you are going to love the hell out of that record

  • best $5 you'll ever spend. No kidding.

  • *cops come and take you away for illegal downloading*

  • I saw them in cardiff as part of the rollercoaster tour and they were amazing!

  • Saw them on the RollerCoatsre Tour 1191 playing tih Dinosaur JR and Jesus and Mary chain...Worship me :D

  • lynus111, you forget Blur was on that tour too!! No worship for you!!

  • I didnt forget, I just try to ...sorry not a fan :)

  • An absolute smorgasboard of a track.....remember buying the album!

  • where's the food? i don't get it

  • It's aural food.

  • Just sublime...saw them supporting Sonic Youth at Venue in Edinburgh back in 198x

  • @erchie68

Sonic Youth AND My Bloody Valentine?

God I wish I was alive in 198x just to see that.

  • I love this but it puts me in a time of great saddness , people around me passed, and my best friend moved cross country and havent been able to find her in 14 years

  • ABSOLUTE GREATNESS. ENORMOUS.

  • absolute fucking greatness

  • One of the best basslines ever played.

  • Sorry Froggie, but Bass, Jah Wobble PIL, Metal Box...Albratross.

  • One of my favourites too. It's a tasty bassline.

  • hang on a second, so there is food?

  • Yes, in the many ethereal layers there is one of sonic food.

  • this was the first band i heard live. until now its the only band ive heard live. lol

the only lyrics i understand from the song are: the first two words waaake uup.

yeah, sigh, I miss you Amanda. from seymour

  • wow..the best 7 minutes of my life.

  • My Bloody Valentine's LOVELESS STANDS AS THE GREATEST ALBUM EVER MADE.PERIOD.......FULL STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • a band who understand the quality over quantity concept

  • Interesting --Quite hypnotic. Never bothered checking this band out til now, apparently they are well worth my while. ^.^

  • just so good

  • thank you for upload

  • This is the perfect shoegazer song.

  • Perfect song for a factory ...

Does anyone understand what I mean?

  • It does fit rather well. Good one.

  • yeah i do. i see what you're saying, although your statement is ironic for these current musical times, understand what I'm saying?haha :D

  • Well ... no, not really =P

  • One of the best albums out of the 90's

Many nights of listening to this for hours over and over.

  • Hahaha. Me too. I got too drunk on night with this album on my turntable and passed out. When I woke up the record was spinning into infinity.

  • fucking hell this song is so good. 0:26 is an orgasm

  • One of my favorite songs of the 90s. Man, this band influenced a lot of people with like at least 75% of the musicians out right now don't even realize it.

  • this is amasing

  • Didn't MBV influence Billy Corgan?

  • Yep, Billy Corgan like this album so much he got Alan Moulder to mix Siamese Dream. Billy Corgan like alot of shoegaze like Ride and Slowdive. I read that in Rolling Stone or some magazine a long time ago. Man, I'm old. At least I grew up on music like this.

  • you're actually younger than me but hey I agree with you we had some good music growing up. MTV really did play music videos at one time from what I can recall.

  • Ok, I am a year younger though I still remember it all. And the big thing is that there wasn't Youtube back then. Only radio and 120 Minutes. No cell phones and Internet. Those were some of my favorite days in life. Don't get me wrong, I love some music and the tech today. But, I really dig the this stuff from back in the day because it takes me back. I think that's why people still dig this stuff even today.

  • And MBV got the idea of this album From Dino JR, "you're living all over me" and "bug"...Both classics, Kevin loved them...Fact

  • best song in the universe.

  • MBV were one of the true pioneers of the UK WALL OF SOUND indie merchants, one of the greatest tunes ever and great to come up on acid and speed to.

  • fukin lol dude

    LOL

  • Only My Bloody Valentine can make your ears bleed then get you on the dance floor.

  • Thank-you much.

    xoxo

  • Just read about the song "Rain" by the beatles, and yes, I can hear the similarities

  • You're on to something. Rain and Soon would make a great mashup, wouldn't they?

  • Love the drum machine

  • were MBV influential to sonic youth or the other way round?

  • Well, i dont know if any of these bands were influenced by each other, but if, I think MBV were influenced by sonic youth, since sonic youth was formed earlier

  • Sonic Youth were around in the 80's, so I'm gonna say other way around.

On a second note, I've never listened to these guys before, and I have to admit I've even bashed them without listening to them (calling them "Emo fags" because of the name), which I'm sort of ashamed of doing, because this is actually pretty damn good.
