  • what album is this from?

  • @adiladil Art Metal.

  • I have held that guitar in my hands!!!!

  • The boss! :)

  • man i wanna go to japan and jam with mat

  • @TheSonsofHorusx Just go to freak guitar camp in Sweden and you can jam with IA to your hearts content. It is late july and august every summer. Hope to see you there.

  • His pick changes fingers so often. Awesome and unique player!

  • those frets he have alow him to have his Chords to come out perfectly in tune no matter what fret he is on. Steve Vai talks about it in his gear video.

  • @loki8lelouch7 yes that's true, he can tune his guitar into chords and remains in tune in open, moreover, the unique shape of the frets provide amazing sustain. This frets where developed and designed by Ibanez and were used for the first time on Steve Vai's guitars

  • @dharmonic

You are WAY off, the frets were designed and developed by truetemperament in sweden,

Find them at truetemperament . com

  • @Sunedosa well, i watched a vid for steve vai talking about these frets... anyway, i just wish i can have them on my guitar :)

  • @dharmonic

You can, it is expensive though since the fretboard needs to be replaced if you have a setneck/neck through guitar or the whole neck if it's bolted on.

  • @dharmonic Not only are you way off, as previously stated by @loki8lelouch7 that these in fact are developed by True Temperament in Sweden. The fact of the matter is that IA has been using these for 5 something years now. Making him way earlier than Vai with this innovation.I tried one of his first TT guitars in 2009. I also remember the facebook post from Anders Thidell (Inventor, and owner of the company) that showcased him working on Flo and Evo (Vai's main guitars) a year later.

  • @mrbullseye thanks for the addition, i learnt good stuff from your comment, cheers ;)

  • @dharmonic Thank you for the nice response dharmonic, and for understanding that I was in no way trying to be a know it all. =)

  • @mrbullseye i never knew that! thanks for the info!

  • @loki8lelouch7 It's called True Temperamenting fret system. As our occidental 12 notes-per-octave temperament it's so inaccurate with its tuning, TT fret system makes it accurate. Pianos can be tuned perfectly but, as our temperament is inaccurate, the last note will always be out of tune.

  • @RGTheMute true haha i looked it up recently. thats guitar there is $5,000

  • @loki8lelouch7 Perfect tuning on this temperament is expensive. It's easy with chord transposing, but our temperament really sucks, and sucks hard.

  • its a rare day that Mattias uses an effects pedal, but wah wah pedals are a must have =]

  • his frets are broken... but he's so badass he doesn't give a shit O.O

  • O modo em que ele segura a palheta é estranho! mais o cara é fera!

  • holds his pick weird

  • what's with the frets ?? never seen that before ...

  • @Astereotypical it's called "True temperament"! (you can google it!) Somehow high defined harmonics in every string, more precise as with the normal straight frets...! :P

  • @MrZerebos , thank you zerebos , it's new to me , found it on google thanks to you ! i'm checking it out ...

  • @MrZerebos It has nothing to do with harmonics. It is difficult to have the guitar perfectly tuned all the way up and down the fretboard. The frets attempt to correct that flaw in the guitar.

  • @carsguitarswomen Therefore it helps with the harmonics-style Mattias usually plays..!

  • @carsguitarswomen imagine a guitar with true temperment frets and an evertune bridge... itd be the ultimate guitar!

  • the shirt fits the guitar optically
