I like James Cameron and his films, but it's too bad he's only "hanging" with these other big name directors because he's really trying to push 3D. I hope we see a James Cameron/Ridley Scott interview in the near future, talking about sci-fi and 3D.
James Cameron on Transformers: "I saw the whole picture, and I thought it was petty great." Fucking liar! Having Michael Bay sit next to James Cameron is like having Keanu Reeves sit next to Jack Nicholson. Not exactly equals in talent.
@Jujuman2003 Yeah, Cameron is in a completely different league compared to Bay. Bay is good at CGI whereas Cameron is like a cinema god who puts everything together..his movies are very thorough and complete.
"It's another fun tool to help get emotion and character into the experience..."
[Laughs] There has to be some funny subtle oxymoron somewhere in that sentence, considering the fact that neither Bay or Cameron get neither emotion or character into any of there stories...
@usernameDOGS Pearl Harbor was like 9/11 is today. Plus this movie was made months after 9/11, we did not want to go through another disaster like that agian so making it a love story was lessening the tension of it all.
@usernameDOGS Said joke turned an 80's toy craze into a blockbuster franchise and gave Will Smith his breakout role in Bad Boys after he left fresh prince. Can you top that?
@usernameDOGS Does the name Uwe Boll Mean anything to you? He makes bad Video Game films yet still can find work. None of his films have double digit ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. If you are looking for a hack director, look for this guy.
why micheal bay no more transformers movies that so sad it make me cry u need to make more transformers movies plz ur like the best director ever love ur movies best movies ever your the best at making movies
Michael Bay is one of the worst directors ever in the world, period. He doesn't know how to make a fucking movie, and he never will because all he's interested in is pointless explosions and getting extremely awful actresses like megan fox, who has absolutely no talent whatsoever, and rosie whatever the fuck her name is. He needs to fuck off and die, like right fucking now.
@turkeypue Of course and i'm sure you know all about film making don't you? STFU Troll, untill you do a blockbuster like TF you need to keep yourself in ur basement.
@TheDM75 Oh, I'm sorry, do you know everything there is to know about making movies? Do you know? I'm no saying that I do, I'm saying that Michael Bay very clearly fucking doesn't because he's a fucking talentless idiot who makes money off shitty remakes. So until YOU make a fucking blockbuster like Transformers, which is pretty shit, why don't you keep yourself in your basement, you fucking nerd cocksucker?
@turkeypue You bet i know more about making a movie than your ignorant ass ever will. I don't need to make TF to understand what making a movie is like, you do, dumbfuck. You can't even argue with someone. Don't call me a nerd just because you don't have a life besides hating.
@TheDM75 I'm sorry, but anyone who is a fan of MICHAEL BAY, the WORST filmmaker who ever lived, is not worth talking to. And what, have you made a movie? have you actually made a movie? If you're a fan of Michael Bay, you don't know shit about making a movie, you fucking idiot
@turkeypue Did i ever said i was a fan? I KNOW what directing a movie is like. There are all kinds of movies, and yes i've made some, i know what directing is, you obviously don't. Otherwise you would know how hard it is to direct something like Transformers... fucking ignorant asswipe. I'm done with you.
Why did they shoot the movie on 2K? It's practically 1080p. In my opinion they won't have a good 3D camera until they make a decent colour 3D scanner and holographic projection.
i would thrilled to watch a film made by Micheal Bay, James Cameron, and Steven Spielberg the questions are: Who would Direct it? Who would write it? If it made a trilogy, who would Direct each installment in order, would it be Bay, Cameron, Spielberg? Cameron, Bay, Spielberg? Spielberg, Bay, Cameron?
So Mr. Bay, how does it feel to be one of the dumbest, shallowest directors working today, and Mr. Cameron, how does it feel to be the shepherd of such a self-obsessed douche, along with your infantile, bullshit 3D process?
Cameron's worng in one aspect. Not all film benefit form 3D. Look at The Dark knight. that film was the most beautiful movie ever created on IMAX and as amazing as avatar was technically. It needed the 3d to distract the audience from the flat plot. So only film FX heavy are in need of 3d
This is gold, two of the greatest talking shop. As an artist, I love the potential of 3D and when done right, is freaking awesome. Hopefully, future directors really use it to its fullest potential. Similarly, hopefully the studios in their quest to make a buck give creators time to do the 3D right, conversion or not.
Also, @ 8:30, I wonder if Jim was doing a riff on SPaceballs? You, know the scene with Dark Helmut and Col Saunders and the whole,"When will now be now?"
Man, I can not wait for BotCon. I can't wait to see TF:3D. And I'd love to shake Michael Bay's hand. People give him too much hate and not enough love for the awesome work he does.
I love 3D! I am one of the few people who have noo problems wearing the glasses that came with my Panasonic 3Dtv, I even bought and love the 3DS. I'm also totally stoked that the X360 may just get 3D support. I honestly hope this techology is here to stay because i literally cannot get tired of it.
@sundowave You know that Bay has already stated that this will likely be the last Transformers movie he directs, right? Besides, I think he should just end it on a great note: with a strong story containing characters we, as human beings, can relate to, with only necessary special FX and explosions. In my opinion, story is key. The past two have been awesome, but if he can combine great action and CGI with a strong narrative, I think this movie will be absolutely fantastic!
@GrantRMartin yea I know.ithey are my lovest :D (favorite) films and the last film of bay will be beatiful and the best transformers movie ever i think
Ever since Michael Bay mentioned last year that the movie will be shooting in 3D with the 3D camera crew of Avatar, I became totally fascinated by the whole process. This video really puts an even better insight on it. I always thought that shooting with 3D cameras was just as simple as shooting it and then you're done but what they say totally addresses that and helps the audience understand that no matter if it is shot with 3D cameras or post converted, it is still a complicated process
James Cameron gives you eye candy, while michael bay gives you a mindless explosive mess.
