I wish I were Scottish. I wish I lived in Ferness, married to Stella and doing bits of business here and there. I absolutely love this film, the characters, the scenery and the story. Someday I will visit Ferness (Pennen) in Scottland before I die and I will make a phone call from the famous red phone booth.

Understanding, top dog! Most films are cardboard but Local Hero talks like real people, perfectly gifted director, kind of pale film style though.
