@dilloncawthon It had 38 inch Super Swamper TSL tires mounted on Eaton/Bart 15" X14" steel wheels. It floated high enough that I didn't have to add a snorkel to the air intake. If you plan on floating it I would highly recommend a trolling motor because I found out it's pretty hard to swim and pull a 2600lb truck when your feet can't touch the bottom. Good luck with the build!
@descargaelbano thanks man, i figured it was around a 38 to 40 inch tire. eventually i want to run 39.5 inch boggers on mine. thats funny about the trolling motor, im think i've got an extra one laying around.
this things bad ass im glad u sent me the link just so i could look at it lol to bad u didnt have video of it rambeling, what the mods? one day ill put a vid of my samurai on here its nothing to sick but i has plenty of parts, i gott akeep it legal cuz i dont got a license nad i dont wanna get pulled over :-X
@waiukea Thanks man, some of my friends or I might have some vids tucked away(VHS!) so i'll check around and post thm if I can locate them. It has a Jeep CJ5 frontend with a powerloc and 5.38 gears and the rear is a narrowed ford 9 inch van rearend with a detroit locker and 5.43 gears. I didn't want to change the motor and ruin it's ability to float so I just added a weber carb. I didn't have to worry about a snorkel because it floated!
gotta love the Samurai. its compact body and short wheel base makes it the perfect 4x4

You should probably find the same gear ratios for both axles

eaxebxecxedx 4 months ago
@eaxebxecxedx Yes, different names for different countries. When I was in the Philippines they were called Jimnys, also sj410 and sj413 I believe.
