  • 3:18 Look at those smiles.

  • I can't figure out right now how to edit the original info about this video, but here we are closing in on August, 2011 and Audrey has been there with me through many life changes, including the purchase of a new house, some new adopted doggie friends, and the birth of our son. She is wonderful with him, though I doubt there was any doubt in anyones mind! :) Will try to make a new video in the coming months, this time with live video since technology has upgraded my camera though the years!

  • Amazing video and beautiful dog! She is one lucky pup!

  • Wow, she turned to be an amazing looking dog.

  • you know, in return for a bit of medical attention, a bowl of food, water and a place to stay, that dog gives her owner ALL of her love and loyalty. It's why I think it's such a kick in the teeth to abuse, abandon or take a dog to a shelter.......

  • God bless yu ...

  • Wow she is a beautiful German Shepherd!!!! You saved a life!

  • My german had passed away from a long illness.

I went to a pet day and met a Siberian who needed a home and family and was seriously ill.

That was almost five years ago a sick lonely abandoned siberian was found next to the freeway.

We have survived four hurricanes together and a move to the mountains.

He has had his first christmas with snow and he is the bright star in my life.

Audrey has found a family and love every dog deserves that.

Audrey is one lucky dog may god watch over her.

  • Thank you for your love for Audrey. She will give you many years of enjoymentand devotion.May the good lord bless you and your new family member

  • 3.03....here comes the real Audrey. Lovely to see a good recovery. Congrats..i hope she gives you many years of pleasure

  • Wonderful. Thank you.

  • Your video put tears in my eyes. Thank you so much :-( I have German shepherd, little puppy. She has been abused and she is very frightened. Now it is good.

Perhaps it is called "puppy love" but for them it is real :-)

    P.S.

Audrey is so beautiful. So lovely eyes. I send you a big kiss and hug.

  • i love to see people adopt abanded animals. and rescue them.

  • Bless you for traveling far and taking this animal in. Its a wonderful video and a song I've always loved. The world needs more people like you. A long and happy life to you both. I'm so glad Audrey has friends too!

  • Crash and Burn

    by Savage Garden

  • yay another success story...thank you for sharing...

  • YOU DID A FANTASTIC JOB !

  • i miss my german shepherd. she was my bestfriend. i loved her dearly. she would always be waiting for me at the door after school. it was a terrible day when she died in my arms. she didnt want to leave us.

  • this video is awesome! i have a shih tzu and she was first rescued from a puppy mill then some people got her that abused her when i heard her story and seen her pic my heart broke into a million pieces my boyfriend knew he was doomed! when we first got her she wouldnt leave the living room now she sleeps on the foot of the bed!she is my shadow she is my fury baby!come may 18 she will have been with us for a year!thank you for posting this nice to know there is hope for the human race yet!

  • This is a beautiful story and so Audrey is a beautiful addition of your home. God bless you for caretaking her and loving her, she is precious and so are you.

  • thank god for people like you x

  • Bless your heart, and bless Audrey's heart. You did a wonderful job restoring her health and giving her a life.

  • Bless your heart, and bless Audrey's heart. Health and happiness to you and all your dogs.

  • Love heals! You saw the beauty in Audrey before it became obvious to the rest of the world. We have a new GSD addition to the family. Elway was abused as a puppy and tied to a tree for most of his life. His leg was broken and he was never taken for treatment. Although he has a deformed leg, Elway is as beautiful to us as Audrey was to you. God bless you for opening your heart and home to so many dogs. What a beautiful video! Thank you.

  • GOd bless you, thank you.

  • All of my pets have been rescued ever since I was born and I'm 27 now. I love the fact that rescued animals don't take for granted what you've done for them. From what I've eperienced pure bred pets don't show the love rescued animals show. I totally loved your video!

  • I've often heard that it's silly or niave to assign human emotions to animals, but I work with rescues and I totally agree with you -- they seem to understand that they have been rescued and show eternal appreciation.

  • What a beautiful dog Audrey is, and what a true hero you are. I just adopted an 11 year old rottweiler and have dedicated my channel to her and to all adoptees or ones who need adopted. Thanks for posting this.

  • Thank you so much for making and sharing your photographic story. This is what the public needs to see to show them rescue works. I plan to feature your video on our blog, if we ever get it up and running. I wish you and beautiful Audrey many wonderful years together!

  • I hope his abusers got a good flogging! It is all they deserve (and jail of course)!

    Respect to you!

  • Whoever treated Audrey like that should be locked up for a very long time and I hope they rot in hell!

I have a female GSD who we adopted. She had Parvo's virus as a pup and was passed from home to home until we took her! She still gets separation anxiety attacks but she is with us for life and is gradually calming down (thank god)!

  • Whoever treated her like that before she was saved should be locked up for a very long time! The scum who did it probably will never have the intelligence or bravery to look at this site. Just in case your are watching however, you should be ashamed of yourself. I hope you suffer for what you did!

So happy that Audrey is ok, I have a female who we adopted, she is called Zara! Had Parvo's as a pup and was passed from home to home before we took her! Still has anxiety separation attacks!

  • Agree totally!

  • I just got a new dog if we did except him he would have been in a shelter or dead for how he was treated. He had a little skin deseas adn some type of worms i for get what type. HIs owner had him out sid like 1 every 2 days. Audrey will have a long and happy life with u and ur family. =] =]

  • thank you for adopting im so glad you got her out of that place. what a wonderful video.

  • I'm so happy to Audrey. I remember my dog. A German shepherd. I think people in denial despising dogs just because they have some disease or just because they have scabies. in this case Audrey was infested of worms. Many would say. - Kill the bitch. - You're losing time. Try another dog more healthy. But you do not leave this angel abandoned. The brightness in her eyes. express all the gratitude and love she feels for you. they do not demand much. Only love. Forgive my ugly english.
  • That was a great touching video, we loved it! God bless you and Audrey. You saved her life and I am sure she will add many happy years to yours.

  • That doggie is so cute! Great job on the video!

  • she didn't just change only on the outside, she also changed very much on her inside, she's now a healthy, beautiful dog:) And you made that happen:) that's why i faved it:) you are a wonerful person:) you don't know how much I care about those helpless animals out there, you're a true hero:)

  • audery totally changed!

  • Wow, what a beautiful dog,i am soooooooo happy you adopted her! the sparkle and glimmer in her eyes warms my heart!

  • a true animal lover

  • KUDDOS to you! You are a noble human being and literally a life saver. Dogs are so amazing and German Shepherds even more so. I am very happy you have saved Audrey and given her a good life. You are truly an inspiration to all of us out there to do the same.

I have a little puppy with a big heart, who is named Chufo who has 4 videos in YouTube but my next dog will be a German Shepherd and I hope I will be able to save a life like you.

    Thank you.

  • you are this dog's savior!

i can't see dogs hurt so thats why when i get older i am going to open a shelter for abused animals! i love them so much. and audrey has one good owner now!

    :]

  • WOW!!! you're an angel!

that is wonderful. i have a german shepher, raysa, she have been with me for almost 7 years now, and man I love her!

Thank God for people like you in the world. i just hope that someday i can do the same thing for another dog.

    Du!

  • Hello I just read your story,my german passed three years ago.He was the light of my life,my buddy even today I miss him.I now have a dog who I rescued, vice versa. We go everywhere we can together. He looked in my eyes and I knew he could not stay there. He came home with me.He is my hero, because he is just himself..Just wanted you to know it will get better with time.

  • My dog passed away at home,I went to a pet day and met my current dog.Someone who needed a home.I met him and he looked at me and I looked in his eyes and knew he needed me.He is my companion.People who would not talk to me will when he is with me.So he rescued me from a lonely time in my life.I know I am truly lucky to have saved him.Because he came into my life at the right momentSo donate to a shelter to help many dogs like Audrey.

  • how people can treat animals like that i'll never know!

You've done a great job, she looks so beautiful and well looked after now x

  • I could never ever not love a dog like audrey.I owned a german sheperd for years. He died one morning.I have another dog he is a siberian.I never got another german because it would be to hard for me.But then to see Audrey and how well she is doing is great. If you want help a shelter in need volunteer at a shelter. All it take is a dollar to help so many.

  • thank god.........a kind person

  • you have made my day to end this tragic life of this poor puppy and give her a new loving and deserving home thank you so much;

  • I dont care what a dog looks like i just like the way they play and act because a dog could look a little bit ugly but that does not matter because most of them have a great and loving personalty. She is soo cute

  • Very touching. Shes lucky to have you.

  • I really respect people like you,all I can say is God bless you and Audrey.

  • Thank you thank you for rescuing her.

  • She is a beautiful soul. Thank you for being her guardian Angel. You have a soul mate in Audrey.

  • Wonderful video, God bless you for your kindness to this sweet dog.

  • i cried watching this video,it's beautiful what u did for this dog all animals deserve to be treated with respect.

unfortunatly there's a lot of animal cruelty.

  • *sniff* I love happy endings!

  • What a beautiful GSD! You are a hero to have done what you did to save this beautiful dog.

  • Wow - Audrey was almost as bad as Dooley - she looks awesome! I work with GSD Rescue and you would not believe how many times we see cases like this. It makes me so happy to see them heal and grow and come to believe that there is a better life waiting for them. I hope many people see these rescue stories and know these dogs can be saved with a little food and lots of love. Congratulations - you've got a pal for life and you've done a terrific job!

  • WOW I am in AWE she looks so beatiful not that she didn't in the begining, u gave her all she ever wanted & needed lots of LOVE & a GOOD HOME. There just isn't enough people like you. Im so glad you shared this with us, it made me sad at first to see what she had went through, then came you ;) All of your dogs are just beatiful. My Simba Lou gave me 14 wonderful yrs and I am lucky to have known that type of love in this life, thanks for sharing this 5 stars

  • I have a 3 year old female GSD and she is the most wonderful dog I have ever owned. I have owned other types of dogs before but now that I have had a GSD I will never own another type of dog. Thank you for rescuing this poor girl. Let's save the world on GSD at a time.

  • Wow, she got the love and care she needed. She's beautiful and looks healthy. What a lucky dog to have come into your hands.

  • You've done such a great job with Audry, she's beautifull!! God Bless you for giving this little love a second chance in life, how people can be so cruel is beyond me, but sad to say it's happening all the time.

  • Oh jesus.

That movie is extremely touching. Im a HUGE dog lover and i have absolutely no idea how anyone can mistreat dogs, or animals in general! It pisses me off when i see situations like that. I mean, if you dont want to take care of an animal, then give it to someone who will! God, i hate some people! lol

But bless you for saving her.

Also, me and her have the same name. Thats killer. <3

  • oh god this made me cry. God bless you and your dogs. especially Audrey.

  • I cant find really the right words to write, what I think. I try: Absolut good and an inspiration for us all! It was surely a lot of hard work and you must have spent much time and -also- money to bring this dog back to life worth living. But you made it! And I know, youve got a true and faithful friend now forever. (o: best wishes !

  • you must be an angel that is what the world should do besides ppl experimenting on them and abusing them you are truly kind person.

  • A million Blessings to you! Audrey is so blessed to be in your home and heart. You will be forever in our prayers. Been"around the block" a few times and not many would do what you have done for Audrey. You are special! Eisblume and me

  • great!

    just great!

  • it actions like this that make the world a better place. i really admire you for doing this, no dog should be euthanized over something stupid like overpopulation. god bless you

  • such a beautiful video

  • i have 2 give up 4 people like u but as 4 the other people the should burn in hell

  • thanks, god stupid owners before ... I love these creatures and they should not be abused. If i could whip the person who did this for every time the word "baby" is said i would!

  • what song

  • "Crash and Burn" - savage garden

  • great storey of care and kindness

  • I bow down before you.what you did for audrey is amazing.i have a shepard called Homer. He has changed my life for ever.MANS BEST FREIND IS A GSD!!!!!!!!!

  • Your a true HERO ! GOD WILL BLESS YOU FOR DOING SUCH A WONDERFUL THING AND SAVING A LIFE ! :]

  • I am still crying while writing this comment. what a beautiful animal and such an amazing story. she really is a gem. I have a german shepherd which we rescued(as we have all our dogs). audrey looks so happy now with her new family.

  • well done on making that dog have a better life only a few days ago my mother found a German Shepard on the high way with many cars she is about 9 months old and every time i go to pat her the she acts like im about to hit her

  • wow you did a really great job with her! that's a great story. I was thinking about getting a german shepherd when I move, are they good dogs?

  • you reduced me to tears i lost my girl dec 12th 06 @12 years thank god for people like you thanks.

  • I'm so sorry for your loss. The start of my "GSD love affair" began with a male shepherd who crossed the bridge at last spring. It's so hard to say goodbye when you know the time has come. I hope Audrey gives me as many wonderful years as he did.

  • I hope she has forgotten her wicked and cruel past! How lovely she is, her eyes now look soft and she is so pretty. Congratulations on the job you have done, I haven't stopped sobbing just yet, as I am a German Shepherd person and can't imagine the sick and cruel mind of whoever treated her in such a way!

  • wow that was soo cute she looks alot better too

  • I cried through watching that video, I have a german shepherd and I love all animals and I love whoever helps them. god bless you.

  • What an inspiring story!!! She looks wonderful now! All the best to you.

  • What a beautiful dog (as are the rest of yours, too) We too have rescues and wouldn't trade them for anything. Bless you!

  • They are absolutely wonderful dogs! If you have never had them before, I'd highly recommend contacting a german shepherd specific rescue. The adoption fee will generally get you a dog that has already been spayed/neutered, as well as completely health checked. The best part is that experienced GSD people will have temperment tested the dog and best be able to match you to the right dog.

  • You are a wonderful person! She looks a lot better and healthy. oh speaking of that how many dogs do you have? :)

  • I have three "keepers" and am involved in rescue as well as a foster home for a few organizations.

  • What a wonderful story and Audrey looks sooooo happy and healthy. What a gift you are!!

  • She's looking good!! Way to go!

  • Amazing! She looks so much better now! It's people like you who make the world a good place for animals who've probably given up on life, you've got several gorgeous dogs and they look more than happy! Post more of her, she's a beautiful gal.

  • I think that is wonderful. I got my Hydie (German Shepherd) from a rescue and she has been the joy of our lives, however, I need new furniture now....lol

  • Thank you, again, for all the kind words. As I sit here and write this, Audrey is stretched out sound asleep, probably dreaming about how good breakfast will taste in the morning. To this day, she is still obscessed with food! Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that the smelly, oozing, wormy, pup I picked up from the shelter that morning would turn into one of the best dogs that has ever set paw in this house. Rescue dogs truely do give back tenfold what you put into them.

  • She is sooooooo pretty. All of your dogs are. Good job on the video.

  • Our GSD Dooley looked like that when we got him, but he came with the addition of acid and cigarette burns - it took a year for him to get healthy, but they are SOOOO worth it. Thanks for saving her - she looks terrific!

  • kl vedeo n u must be a hell of a kind n exelent person 4 doin this it wud b gd if there were more ppl like ya :D

  • Your an awesome person for doing that! And she looks awesome. I lurk on HC so i saw some of her story but that video was made beautifully!- Nikki

  • Thank you :)
