shes cool, just bought a sling. :) and a geniculata 2inch juviecuz i traded my adult female for a snake. keep the vids coming, anything i need to know i just search your vids or robc's, you have a nice little collection their :)
Usually in general, they would be as skittish as boehmei but definetely a bit more on the defensive side. They are a very cool looking species with voracious appetites
I got one of those too! My transfer was also super easy! Although my Nhandu is only 1/8". I got her as a gift. For a really little thing, she appears to really be fearless. She's constantly begging to be fed. She really loves her fruit flies.
In my opinion, ti's way too big for one that size. House her in a 10 gallon, when she's close to adult size like 6-7 inches. At this size, a standard size kritter keeper will do fine.
Awesome video, i'll be sure to watch more of them in a little while i have one of these and ''she'' is perfectly handleable although i have been warned otherwise!
I also have a Chilean rose hair who molted just last week a Mexican redknee and a chaco golden knee :D great vids!
Beautiful Nhandu Chromatus Jon! Mine will probably be the size of yours in a molt or so... I'm not sure but I have a feeling mine may be a male :S. Anyways have a good weeked!
Jon, I just have to tease you. You were explaining the set up using potting soil, a small pc of bark for a hide and an "orange" bottle cap for a water dish. Ummmm have I been misinformed about the color orange my whole life :-) Just had to tease you. I have no life so I have to get my entertainment somewhere..lol
My largest one is only 1.5in... Next molt should he/she get the adult colors? Btw he is SLIGHTLY getting white legs with the stripes. But no where near bright enough to see them 1 foot away. If I go close up you could see the fellas stripes and whites.
My N. chromatus is awesome. She never uses her hide, always on display.

it looks like lasiodora cristata

@vakporcovac
it's nhandu chromatus. Lasiodora cristata, while vastly identical to N.chromatus is not in the pet trade.

would its bites hurt?
SG02JATT 10 months ago
@SG02JATT
it would be pretty painful. Similar to a hornet sting.
Jon3800 10 months ago
@Jon3800 I'de say a full grown one would feed like a syringe stabbing into your arm =P
demonjack123 3 months ago
@demonjack123
probably like stabbing with a RED HOT syringe.

@Jon3800 LOL YES, and imagine the syringes from those mad scientist movies!

before mien died after a bad molt I used to get threat posture. These awesome T's get VERY territorial once they establish a burrow.
