Sorry to correct you illinoisloyalty1 but when this video was made the cold war was over. America was not boycotting anything Russian as it did in the early eighties. (and then only politically)Disney could not get Russia to sponsor a pavilion as the other countries had done because of Russias' financial problems.

Thanks for the part series! I have been to Disney World 7 times and I am returning next July with my daughter for her first trip. Too bad the Mt. Fuji ride at Epcot's Japan pavilion never transpired.

The Fuji ride underwent some changes, transferred to Animal Kingdom, and

became Expedition Everest.

I wonder if they are still planning the Russian pavilion and Mt. Fiji ride in the Japan pavilian. I know they're building something at Epcot right now. They have the walls up.

The Russian Pavilion was abandoned, that Space pavilion obviously became Mission

Space, and the Fuji Ride, well,

nothing's written in stone about that

one. A Spain Pavilion would be nice.

They wanted to make an Israel pavilion

once.

the russian pavilion was abandoned because when they were going to make it, there was the cold war. america just boycotted all russian things. it was the same thing as wwII where americans boycotted all german things.
