  • why do you always say "EESHH" when you kick?

  • @infidel94 it can mean many different things.for one its a way of gaining power . and for another its for breathing control.

  • check out my sparring video and i did this same move at the end of my fight on a 18 year old(:

  • i like fish

  • my friend says that if you make your foot vertical when you use dwi chagi, it will have more damage than when your foot in horizontal position. Is that right?

  • WHATS THE MO9ST POWERFUL KICK OUT OF ALL KICKS IN ALL MARTIAL ARTS?

  • Do you have to "knife edge" your foot for this kick? I know you do with the side kick, but im not to sure about this one.

  • Is this a requirement for the Jumping back kick because the juming back kick is hard and I'm still practicing it for awhile now.

  • My master instruct us to do a sidekick while spinning back, is this right or wrong?

  • when you throw this kick should your toes be pointing at the ground or to the side like a side kick?

  • look up joe rogans spinning back kick...ppl forget hes a blackbelt and even gsp complimented him on his skill

  • the strike point is the heel?

  • i love this kick!!

  • Could this kick kill someone? I get bullied every yearand I've had enough of dealing with it and am deciding to take action. I've been taking Taekwondoe for 5 months and am determined to get this kick down before school starts. I have 2 weeks until school so I would really appreciate it if I got a quick answer. Thanks :)

  • @Brogthak I mean could it kill someone if I aimed at their face with this powerful kick? Thanks! :)

  • very good video mate , well explained

  • Do i have to say "ishhhhhhhhhhhh"? when i do this? for more power?

  • i luv ur videos on these kicks i look up to u on these vids i have a question about ur ankle supports do they really support ur ankles well i use tape i hate taping my feet i want something to jus put on n start traning

  • Hi. I've noticed through all your videos you use your right leg a lot. I happen to use my left leg all the time and only. I want to use my right for the greatest advantage of both my legs. What would be a great exercise that would improve my technique in using my right? I have no balance as I try, is there any stance or anything that can help me catch my balance? I believe the usage of my left a lot takes off the center of balance from my right which allows me right to kick extremely sloppy.

  • @kimimarux29 I guess you should just start training your other side, and keep progressing. Don't really know what possibly more you can do.

  • long hair

  • Can you drill this on a punching bag, or is that just not a good idea?

  • poor bob

  • this kick has work in thailand hehehe =P

  • How can you get more height from this kick?

  • Please READ the video info and the uploader comments before commenting. Details I left out in the video are addressed there.

  • @kwonkicker That's the Tora Yop Chagi, isn't it?

  • Pishh xD

  • can you jump into the kick to give it more force ?

  • @Deface94 Yes. And also I forgot to mention something in the video. Throwing a back kick from a neutral stance is different from throwing one from a side or back stance. Just before step 1 (the cross step), you need to pivot your rear heel forward. This will line your kicking heel up properly for when you throw the kick. If you were kicking instead from a back or side stance, the rear heel would already be in proper position (or near it) for the back kick, so pivoting the heel isn't needed.

  • 4:23

  • Identity crisis...LOL

  • The truth is, he just wants the opponent to be quiet. Ugh.. SHHHHH

  • Thanks for the tut. Its much easier than i thought it would be :)

  • @JYUkulele actually, if you do this kick correctly it usually lands in the stomach/chest area.

  • @kwonkicker dude, how come you are so skinny and so strong?

  • @giorgiv18 Just goes to show, size don't mean everything :D

  • @giorgiv18 he has strong chi energy ... and size matters not

  • @Xfrond sorry, i'm not sure i understand

  • oh shut in the thumbnail thought the dumy was a real person

  • Explains very well. Good teacher and demonstrator.

  • Cung Le disliked this video 15 times :D

  • i think he's the best martial arts teacher on the internet

  • no one can beat the gun

  • @IKIMONOGAKARISLIM - No one can beat a laser gun, or much better... a nuclear rocket... But that's a different topic. lol

  • do i have to learn the side kick to do this cuzz i get the body movement just not the kick

  • great vid bro keep it up!

  • can u do the skull crusher

  • TATSUMAKI SENPUUKYAKU!!!

  • hey Kwonkicker i have a problem with doing the back kick using my right leg. See im an orthodox fighter but i can only back kick with my left leg so to set it up i gotta jab cross into back kick. I dont know what im doing wrong but when i kick with my right leg i end up turning too much and hurt my right foot because i hit the bag with the middle or ball of my foot. Can i post up a video of me doing the kick to see what im doing wrong?

  • When i learn this imma be WHOOPN everybody's ASS lol

  • one day at school i was talking to one of my friends and this kid sitting in the chair to my left he pulled my pants down in class and it really pissed me off so i kicked him with this same kick, and i hardly kick him he went flying he flew out of his chair and the chair went flying lol i got 5 days out and im not allowed to fight anymore in school since i took kickboxing and bjj classes they called the cops and that cop understood and i didnt get into much trouble...

  • @UFCKID123 good for you! I would've done the same thing...I mean WTF?? Pull someone's pants down. What if you accidentally pull the underwear down as well. I would piss me off as well

  • An excellent tutorial.

  • Tae Kwon Do is not a sport it's meant as serious self defense

  • holy shit u had long hair lol great vids btw

  • You can get into the linear stance by masking it with a jab or double jab before executing the back kick. Just watch some GSP footage.

  • WTF Tae Kwon Do?

  • Comment removed

  • 8 people just got kicked by this guy and 214 other people.

  • BOV sound:

    aaaaaaan 4:19

  • excellent

  • quick question, is this kick more of a counter move than an offensive attack?

  • @poopooizzy It can be used for both. However, it's much easier to land as an attack, since a basic back kick is a longer range technique. A jumping back kick can also be used for both, but is generally easier to land as an offensive counter attack, because of it's speed, and easily adjustable range. It's all a matter of practicing timing and distance for that particular kick.

  • @kwonkicker That's alot of power, Sir. How long have you been training?

  • @vietdude1979 Look in his FAQ. He's been training ever since he was 15, and he is now 25.

  • @kwonkicker look up Serkan yilmaz!!

  • WTF TAEKWONDO

  • it starts at 04:20

  • Is that safe for that to bounce off the counter?

  • I think hopping at some poit will make a better frictcionless fulcrum for the transition to the extesion and moar Powah! :D .....am i right??

  • Very good man.

  • nice tutorial!

  • @kwonkicker hey i noticed when ever i spar im always on a side stance is that good or bad

  • @woreer9 It depends on what distance you use for your sparring... Are you a tall guy? Can you use long range skills efectively? Side stance is mostly used for long range kicks.

    Am I right kwonkicker?

  • @RicardoOliverDiu yea im like really tall for my age so should i keep this stance

  • @woreer9 Yeah you should... And learn to always keep this distance... Learn a good jab too... Be accurate and fast... And always pack some good straights in your arsenal... Watch some Muhammed Ali fights... Especially the one he fights Cleaveland Williams in 1966... Using that kind of speed and packing some good kicks... Can turn you into some good average fighter...

Always think about speed, technique and accuracy...

  • Cool vid

  • somewhere at 5:50 - 5:55, you slow down and I notice that, as you kick, you "fly" as in your foot leaves the ground. Is that supposed to happen when we do the kick?

  • @TheMarvinJoseph The basic version, you throw the kick where your supporting foot doesn't leave the ground. Once you've mastered basics of the kick, you can begin adding a skip with the kick. This will allow your body weight to move forward unrestrained by a stationary base, and significantly increase the power of the kick. Not only will you have the power of your leg and hips in your strike, but you will also have the added power of your unhindered body mass behind your strike.

  • @kwonkicker Damn you kick that hard? i would have one but i don't have the space or the money. thanks for the heads up and i appreciate you not being a bastard about the whole not reading the description thing. my bad. [subbed]

  • @kwonkicker

when this kick lands, is your foot straight up and down ( like a backwards inverted push kick) or is your foot side ways ( like a side kick)? or does it not really matter?

  • @SaucySasquatch the foot thats kicking should have your toes aiming towards the floor and your heal up as much as possible, usually you'll end up having your foot in a slight angle on impact which is fine, the reason for this is to allow mainly your glutes to generate power at its fullest, the main reason why this kick is very powerfull.

  • @NanErDanZiQiang oh ok thanks

  • @kwonkicker

What are those things on your feet? on your right sight there is a red one and on your left its black? Sorry, just forgot the name.

  • very nice vids and kicks. I am karate teacher who also studied taekwondo. I try to teach kids the correct way of kicking and how to be more flexible. Your vids rili helped me in explaining the technicals of kicking easily. Keep it up man:)

  • ur angle

  • You seem chill... we should KICK it some time :P

  • @akarshanmall .......i see wat u did there

  • @mrdhk93 the heal, reason is because if you hit with just the heal it does much more damage than with the blade.

  • nice slo-mo's

  • @mrdhk93 You kick with the heel of your foot, or at least i think so

  • me gustó tu técnica y tu explicación

  • I don't know if it's possible but it would really help me out with some of your videos if there was a view from above. That's the way I look at my feet and practice my foot position so I think it would help to see what it looks like when you do it. Other than that your videos are awesome and your technique is pristine. Thank you.

  • where can i get one of those props you use to beat the crap out of haha

  • @mrdhk93 i find it useful to put my front leg about 7 inches foward and then execute it very quickly. I find that a very effective technique, that can catch even the fastest of opponents.

  • youre a good teacher !

  • You know what's weird? i can throw this kick 1000 + times and hit the target every time with my left leg, but i cant aim this kick for shit with my right leg. i end up hurting my right foot cuz i hit the bag with the ball of the foot from spinning too much i guess. I have to throw a right cross and hope the opponent moves back to then create space for my left leg back kick since i stand orthodox. I wanna kick with that accuracy with my right leg too though. What am i doing wrong?

  • @kwonkicker

Oh and another thing it is necessary to provoke your opponent in the direction the kick is coming from in order to increase the power of the strike and catch them off guard. Usually if you attack one side with either punches or kicks theyl tend to step the other side, at this exact moment is when the spinning back kick is released.

    Once again nice vid :)

  • @kwonkicker

Very nice technique. In kyokushin the spinning back kick is completely different. Since we can come closer in range the back foot comes in a circular path rather than a linear. Any of these spinning back's connecting to the plexus or liver will put you down for good.

  • I saw this other tutorial where this "master" was doing a spin kick and it was fucking terrible. And what's worse is that people who are new to martial arts were praising it and saying "i'm gonna try this today" etc...etc

those type of garbage ass tutorials needs to be removed from YouTube or be put in the "garbage" section.

This tutorial however is excellent. I hope people new to martial arts or just want to learn this kick for the hell of it, listen to this guy instead of some other jackass

  • your videos are amazing but , there are more kicks that i need learn

  • haha lolz, "big waste of time." ................hate doing that on tournaments T_T

  • when I was in Taekwondo we called this the reverse side kick or 360 side kick, is there a difference?

  • @spartan1010101 back kick, in my understanding is a reverse side kick

  • you can kill people

  • nice man you are a good teacher

you make it sound like a movie set O__O

  • how do you do it fast?my back kick is always slow

  • Damn dat wuz da fastest back kick I've ever seen.

  • Great Video! Good teaching!

  • Also good advice if your having troubles getting a full extension, try jumping higher. When I first learned this kick i couldnt for the life of me pull it off, my leg always did some weird half kick. Then I realized i didnt have enough time and tried jumping higher than i normally did with great results!

  • Thanx for the warning at the beginning, i wasnt aware of the risk.

  • @kwonkicker hey man ur pretty good do u compete in any tournaments? what region are u from if you do, lol im not calling you out or nothing im juss curious what do u compete in if not the tournaments? ok anyway i did practice in ata american taekwondo accociationi think sum how they are all linked someway are the other anyway msg back- Bows Head-

  • I love kwonkicker!!!He is very great!!

  • hey i got one more question: u mentioned, that the back kick and the spinning hook kick are different. i watched the hook kick tutorial but couldn´t figure out what the difference between the two kicks are concerning the FOOTWORK.

    thx for the tutorials!

    cheers

  • @IHelpNexon haha your retarded xD

  • WOw....his technique is flawless

  • if the situation was in self defensive. and this kick was delivered to an opponent un expecting this kick. would it take him down completely if performed correctly?

  • @mtizzle06 well, yes but you would get charged (if caught) for disproportional self-defense :P

  • dam im twice this dudes size but he could probably kick my ass lol :D

  • Damn, you're good

  • I Love Teakwondo and now i am going to use my skills in Karate , i am going to start learn !

  • Bruce Lee's flying side kick is the most powerful kick

  • @mj19580

Bruce lee is kung fu this is Taekwando and you heard him he said it was "tested", but who know who tested it; I would like a source, but I beleive him

  • @krusher611 Uh, Sang H. Kim, Fight Science, etc...

  • @IndyActionChannel

     Thanks

  • @krusher611 no, bruce lee is jeet kune do. It's tested in the nat geo fight science program, you can see it on youtube but they didn't test the flying side kick

  • @mj19580 lol what are u talking about .

  • ok if WTF taekwondo follows the originial idea, what about the ITF taekwondo ?

  • Great vid. I've been working with this kick for a few weeks. I thought you provided a great, easy explanation. BTW - Fantastic looking kick.

  • cool vid, very helpful
