Something like that happened to the Sabres. It was our first home game of the 06-07 Sabres. The puck was lose in front of Montreal goaltender Huet. HE DID NOT HAVE POSSESION OF IT. But the ref blew the whistle, then Afingenov scored and counted as a no goal. NHL REFS SUCK.

Basically it is a part of hockey, and every other sport. Every team gets some bad calls, but you cant give up on the game. the blues had plenty of other chances to score. no excuse, refs dont decide games. That is up to the players. They have 60 min to decide it. A couple of bad calls dont cost the game.

I am a huge Sens fan. I will agree with you on the first blown call, but if you watch this one closely at around the one minute mark, Gerber has the puck covered and it does not come loose until Backes (??) hits gerbers glove with his skate/leg.

Not trying to start an argument or anything, but you can't honestly say that the puck was covered, just because you can't see it for a split second doesn't mean it was covered. Besides, a split second is not enough time to blow the whistle, you have to establish control of the puck, "McGoo" was waiting to blow that whistle.
