  • I'm so thankful I was raised in the south in the country. It seems like city kids are always raising themselves and their parents.... It's like everyone around them is heartless...

  • I genuinely thought that the music in the mud fight was people talking and then rapping behind them until the end...

  • I hate that old grumpy ass bastard!

  • i know this is kinda trivial considering the whole harships of the film, but the girl who plays liz is stunningggg

  • That teacher is a bitch. What's the deal with making a big issue out of Liz's nickname? Is this attitude common in the US, that only proper names be used in school? When I was in school the teachers always asked everyone on the first day if they had a nickname they'd rather be called by.

  • ive met liz. she came and spoke at my temple last year! she is so nice and her story really touches my heart

  • This movie is amazing, I feel so bad for Liz tho

  • @sarahsoccergirl yeah, i feel bad for myself though, because im so spoiled compared to Liz :(

  • see people... sometimes people are homeless because it was out of their control so think about it next time you tell someone on the streets get a job.

  • Fucked up world these kids are living in

  • @68buickwildcat your right no child should ever never ever be without. If you can't take of them you should have kids birth control is a usable... free thing. Its not that far fetched of an idea. You dony have the mean don't have then that easy

  • The girl who plays chris was on a tv show called QUEER AS FOLK it ran for 5 years

  • My parents raised us eight kids, and we didn't have a lot of money, budgets were tight. But we did have clean clothes (lots of hand-me-downs!), a clean house and good homecooked food, and of course strict but loving parents. I too raised my kids on a budget, and they were loved too. THAT is what makes a home!

  • When her mom comes in super drunk... I'm so embarrassed for her!!!

  • She burnt herself to numb the pain experience by the memory of her father raping her.

  • this movie reminds me of the song Runaway Love by Ludacris ft Mary J. Blige

  • her grandpa's a real piece of work .. die alone ya heartless bastard!

  • wow they jus met an they r running away

  • wow. what teacher would not call the kid but what they want to be called.

  • @sexybrand18 Naw. It showed the beginning of their friendship. Having a playful fight.

  • Lizzie's grandfather is a HYPOCRITE!

  • 6:43-6:50 Lizzie's grandfather was very rude to both Chris and Lizzie. He had no right to grab Chris and push his granddaughter. That man is NUTS.

  • She could have chose better friends.

  • @relimes "Better friends" wouldn't accept her because of her family. She needed a dysfunctional group because thats what she knows... At least that is how the director designed things in this film.

  • @relimes at least she has friends that take care of her and Chris

  • whats the song at 2:00??

  • Does anyone think this is arond the time Liz lost her virginity?

  • The girl in Liz's study group seen for a split second at 3:56 is the same girl who played a bully in a youth facility in Gracie's Choice.

  • my heart goes out to liz its awsome that she didn't give.

  • It's amazing that she had so much strength to keep going. School is unbearable enough without all that was happening to her outside of it. But I guess it's a question of overlooking the bad and holding onto all the small, significant happy moments in your life. Just as she did with the playful mudslinging moment and her mother's winter memories in the park.

  • It appalls me what some children must endure. It angers me that adults don't take better care of them. No child should have to deal with what she did...I am inspired by her story but saddened too. In a wealthy nation such as America, there are still those that suffer in poverty and neglect. Shameful.

  • @68buickwildcat I totally agree with you. Social services, where are you?

  • @alexsanchez1985 How Sad=(

  • Cat Mud Fight!

  • Do any of us bargain for our lives? It seems to me we just kinda fall into them and we then have to do the best we can, my mother was dying, my father was gone. But I had to believe the road would rise up to meet me. I was 15 when I went out into the world.

  • This part always messes up for me :(

  • this is a great movie! really inspiring! btw does anyone know who the actor at 4:04 is?? =)

  • I have a question...and I know it sound really stupid..BUT.. I really want to understand...It seems like she was always blamed for hving "problems" with her attitude, etc. Do social workers, which in this case were very busy, but I mean, would they all treat a child like this? ALL grown ups?

  • i would drop dead if my friends saw my mom like that =/

  • i didnt get any sound..?

  • this movie was a good movie to me and i sort relate to it.

  • why they playing with mud ?

  • because thier freaks..lol

  • get a job? would she really be sitting there asking for change if she could get a job? goodness..

  • @fairyxlights Well at some point during the movie she ended up getting a job at that resturant washing dishes.

  • wtf is wrong with EVERYBODY in this movie?!

  • i think because reflect whats outside this movie, reflect the world, the truth about a lot of people that dont care

  • @spokmage ?

  • the quality is awesomeee

  • yep :D

  • @lucianparkour hey do u know a movie where this little girl walking to school and this man lies and says he's looking for his dog and says he works for her dad then later they tell her dad got hurt and they kidnaped her with a little black boy then later they become homeless

  • @xxpatrickizradxx is call it GARDENS OF THE NIGTH, real sad movie, but some people dont understand this kind of movies or they dont want to think or talk about

  • @xxpatrickizradxx is call it GARDENS OF THE NITHE a real sad movie, but most of the people dont like to think or talk about this kind of movies, ...

  • @xxpatrickizradxx IS CALL IT GARDENS OF THE NITHE

  • wut happen to the other sister

  • she stayed with their granddad

  • 7:40 heh, i really like that. "..or are you going to leave me out here...?"

its like she's saying 'i DARE you to leave me out here by myself."

  • "What is a home?...powerful question.

  • for me too, i work from about 3 years from a home, i dont have a home neither, i went outside my contry to do that, and i hope, one day i will make my dream come true :) anyone has a dream and must to follow it. Are you ? :)

  • @lucianparkour I am trying to follow it...need LOTS of financial help to build El Shaddai Life Center in Ukraine...

  • @lucianparkour We don't have any funds at this time to build El Shaddai Life Center in Ukraine. Please, if you know someone who might be interested, direct them to uocfp(dot)org and click on "Nadia Fund"

  • @lucianparkour I envy people like you, you know. I don't have a dream. I dont know what i want to do although im still young i envy people who knows what to do with their lives. This made me realised that I am really really blessed with my family that support me....

  • @77ukraine ♥ in my experience ,..Home is where pure love is.Love from the soul, spirit. :)

  • @77ukraine

"Home is where the heart is." :-)

  • I admire Liz for believing in a better future, even though her family keeps putting her down and condemning her.

  • 4:00 to 4:50...wow, powerful scene. "Dying is the hardest thing anyone has ever done." The end of life, no matter how devastating it has been, can be just as difficult to face.
