Sunni & Shia have been butchering each other since the get-go, because they were following the example set by their illiterate, polygamous, caravan-robbing, homicidal, for-profit, prophet.
It has been well noted that all the ideas in the Koran were well known ideas at the time of it's writing. Actually it's very simple and repetitive. He was a military dictator and an opportunist.

@tigersforchrist You really should have proof before you say that. 'All Muslim who become Christians are free of abuse & misery." Know Islam before you make judgements.
further to my last... Al Harith ibn Kalada became a companion of the Prophet and influenced his medical beliefs.. sura 23 verses 13-14 follow (plagiarize?) the works of the greek physician Galen ..
it is deceitful to claim that the koran is independent of any learned influence.. the author or authors had the advantage of contact with scholars, doctors and those who worked the trade routes.. there is no particular mystery for a non-adherent to islamic dogma. The echo-chamber or re-enforcement of religious beliefs does a dis-service to truth.
Well, there was a Christian man who said that he taught Muhammad things, the hadith of which can be found in Bukhari. There's even a rather amusing one stating that Muhammad rewrote part of the Hudaybiyyah treaty. And actually, the Qur'an was edited and updated, ostensibly, to standardise the readings. This is said to have happened once every year, and twice in the last year of his life.
@ConsideringPhlebas the Quran wasnt written untill after Hz mohammed (sav) passed away
at that time a very few people knew how to write it was a type of arabic sandscript and Hz. mohammed (sav)
was no exception to this. the information he was given was told to hes followers in speech and memorized
at the time he's followers started to age and very few to remember they decided to have it written to prevent it from disappearing out of memories since thats were it actually was kept long after Hz.M
No it was written by a number of Sahaba within Muhammad's life, notably Zaid Ibn Thabit who was also entrusted with compiling the Qur'an, and it was this that happened after Muhammad's life time. The Mushaf was standardised and compiled during the Caliphate of Uthman, and this was also partly to avoid conflict about the Qur'anic text. So it was written, it simply wasn't collected into a single book, though you're right that it was mostly memorised.
The day I get taught Islam from someone whose Youtube 'favourites' section is filled with videos of scantily-clad women shaking their butts on camera, is the day I renounce the world and join a monastery.
The Quran in written form appeared 200 years after the life of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh). I believe the Quran underwent a great deal of change and revision during this period, so you are right, it wasn't a 1 hit wonder, it was a cultural document that took over 200 years to produce. This is true for all religious texts.
@brahimbug Interesting theory, but factually incorrect. It was not only written down during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad by scribes as dictated by the Prophet, but also compiled in book form as well. What do you think Muslims recite when they pray anyway? Right, the Qur'an, and this has been recited since the advent of Islam. You can "believe" anything you want, however, for someone who requires evidence, I'd recommend acquiring some prior to making such statements. Peace.
@BonsaiSky I myself raised a muslim lol. i know perfectly well what we recite. I however do not believe what we recite is the same as what Muhammad preached. I should have been more clear. The accepted version of the Quran we have today was not produced until 200 years after. The revisions are a historical fact swept under the rug.
@brahimbug I love it when someone who claims to have been raised Muslim believes that it nullifies a historical fact. Who says that and swept under what rug? You're grasping.
@BonsaiSky There were about four versions to be exact. it got to the point where some Muslims were calling other Muslims heretics. all recorded in history. so a political decision was made to have one 'official' version, which was undoubtedly designed to serve the political power. I suggest you also look into it. I am proud of my Muslim heritage but i think there is more beauty in truth rather than a fictitious ideal. and regardless, changed or not, it is a book that offers wisdom.
@brahimbug Muslims already had power bro. The Prophet Muhammad had plenty of opportunities to live like a king, but instead chose to sleep on a straw mat. You and I both know that. It wasn't a political decision to burn all other Qur'ans other than to preserve the linguistic essence of it because folks were pronouncing terms and vowels incorrectly because there were no "harakat" associated when the words. No hash marks etc. The point is that it never changed. If you say it did, by who?
@BonsaiSky I am not questioning the prophet Muhammad's integrity, I am questioning the claim to the divine. and within Islam there are multiple faction, it inst power for the Muslims, it is power for a certain group of people within Islamic society. for example, one thing we can see eye to eye one, the division between Shi'ite and Sunni Muslims, one group thought it should be passed by vote, the other by blood, can you not see the the political issues that underlie such a disagreement?
@brahimbug How can you claim to not question his integrity, when he claimed the revelation to be divine? You either believe what he says is true or you believe he is a liar. Pick one and we can go from there.
@BonsaiSky lol i believe those who preceded him, who most benefited from the Islamic order, they are the ones who fabricated his divinity. It is the same as Christianity, Jesus never himself claimed to be the son of God, the Catholic church made the claim on his behalf to solidify their domination over the faith. This is another historical truth that the Catholic church keeps on a tight leash for the sake of their own legitimacy.
@brahimbug" During the reign of `Uthman, teachers were teaching this or that reading to their students. When the students met and disagreed about the reading, they reported the differences to their teachings. They would defend their readings, condemning the others as heretical.'[Abu Bakr `Abdullah b. abi Da'ud, "K. al Masahif] "
@BonsaiSky "How can you order me to recite the reading of Zaid, when I recited from the very mouth of the Prophet some seventy Surahs?" "Am I," asks Abdullah, "to abandon what I acquired from the very lips of the Prophet?" (Masahif" by Ibn abi Dawood, 824-897 AD, pp. 12, 14).
My aim isnt to undermine the faith, but rather to allow for a more truthful understanding of islamic history, i believe this will allow Islam to blossom, is it not a teaching of the religion itself that the truth produces the best results? You seem like an intelligent person, make an honest attempt to look at the early history of the Quran. The evidance for you might not be enough to convince you but i think we need to overcome this fear of questioning divinity in order to make the most of islam
@brahimbug The evidence I obtain is more than sufficient to justify my faith in the Qur'an being divine revelation. I don't have the time nor patience to cut and paste material, so we can take this offline via PM. I have studied quite thoroughly, the early history of Islam and it isn't what you're promoting here.
@BonsaiSky lol well we will have to agree to disagree. Id like to say i enjoyed our little discussion, it is always nice to talk to an informed Muslim. I am generally met with hateful anger when i try to say such things. But anyway no hard feelings, just an exchange of ideas! peace!
@BonsaiSky well my aim wasn't a debate. my aim was to leave a comment so that people who watch the video may also read my comment. which is essentially what the comment section is for. but anyway, i sense animosity, sorry, didn't mean to disrespect you or your vid.
@brahimbug No animosity. You are more than welcome to leave a comment anytime. I simply retain the right to reply to any comment. Just merely responding when I have the time. Peace.
@BonsaiSky an honest appraisal .. good. the evidence you have is sufficient.. no further investigation or inquiry or scrutiny is necessary for you.. granted.. then I hope you don't mind that the rest of the civilized world has issues with islamic dogma and practice.. while you are resting on your sufficient evidence .. we will take the rest of it apart for you.. but then you have the recourse of violence.. an apt reaction for an indefensible position..
You must be the chosen people. I mean the US destroys entire cities filled with civilians and that's collateral damage! Let me simplify things for your overly developed mind. When you kill people, when you dump your chemical/biological garbage in their countries.. etc, when you do this kind of stuff, you're generally a filthy blood sucking parasite.
It's funny that you still have the audacity to blame islam, but i guess it's either that or the truth. CAN YOU HANDLE THE TRUTH?
@UrHillarious Yes I can handle the truth (that your geography is faulty) you missed by about 5500 Km. The US and the rest of the developed world is responsible for lot of bad and tremendous amount of good. I have the audacity to accuse islam, yes. Absolutely.
Of course how didn't I know that. You must be the chosen ones. The US and the developed world are of course to be thanked for many, many amazing things. Pollution, genocides( we both know you have an outstanding record in butchery). What else, oh yeah, bye bye world economy, 90% of earth's ressources used by 10% of the earth's populaion. It must be those damn terrorists doing all that
You've done enough for us, it's time for you to retire and go clean up your backyard, it stinks
@UrHillarious actually we have a very small carbon footprint and our back yard is really small and clean.... well so much for your deflecting the question at hand.. i.e. that islam needs to be exposed as primarily antisocial (in a western sense) and those that adhere need to be closely controlled. Education is also key to lessening that dogma's influence.
Thats an easy one. Go educate urself in history, and compare track records. I'm not here to teach another imperialist. We taught once a long time ago(read history), and that didn't end well. And by the way, we don't give a damn about what u might or might not think. If u cant man up to ur mistakes, just keep quiet
@UrHillarious educate myself? I know more about moorish (empires) then you will ever know. (they left some 519 years ago.. well they were escorted out, at the end of a sword).. no mistakes were made.. except letting them hang out for such long time. I can't keep quiet. We know about islam, we know how you act.. we know what to expect.
Praise urself as much as u want, as if I care. U r a nation of vampires, blood sucking parasites, what should we expect from you? But dont come back crying, why do people think we're evil? It's because u r EVIL. And thats almost over anyways. I wasnt there when roman/bizantine... empires fell, but I feel priviliged that I'll get to witness the demise of your empire. Quite a historical tale indeed. I'm certain u guys will know what to do to prevent that, u know what to expect.. LOL
@daNDayati - education doesn't seem to have helped your people become the most hated and reviled nation on the planet today. in fact, the education you speak of is nothing more than brain-washing and propaganda. the irony about control is that the western world defines freedom as the pillar of its societal philosophy, yet the need to control Muslims (who simply responding to your injustices and war-crimes) creates an environment of complete control for all the empire's subjects.
@Mr1Fox9 (you missed my previous post.. and me by about 5500 km ) The education here is quite good and it has been centuries since we have had an empire (and have been saddled with charges of war crimes).. Nice try though.. Educational brainwashing? Then why is half of the maghreb studying here? go figure..
@daNDayati - there is nothing to miss in your posts. one has heard the lies of your kind many times over. the education is so good that most of your youth can't even locate the nation their democratically elected leaders are bombing on a map! so enough with the lies!! the personal biographies of various, hedonistic celebrities is more well known to your people than the bibliographies of the founding fathers of your government's constitution. go figure
@daNDayati - 1 - half the Maghreb? can you provdie proof of this. first, a tally of the exact population of the whole Maghran (this is not just one country). then, evidence that half of them migrated to the west. then further evidence that most of them stayed and did not go back. it is true that foreigners comprise an increasing majority of graduate students in western societies. that supports what i just said about the true status of your people. they are so inundated with evil...
@daNDayati - 2 - and hedonism and materialism (something u suffer from based on the lies in various comments u have here), that they need to drain the brain power of foreign lands and nations...takeing from those lands what their forefathers failed to take during their imperial adventures and economic occupations (from before)! lets hope that these particular students leave as quickly as they arrive (so they don't end up like the sheep around them).
@Mr1Fox9 no actually, the magrebíes are very welcome to stay.. (most want to..) The brain drain is indeed a fact.. and a sad one at that.. the developed world needs educated professionals..
@daNDayati - 1 - no, the US and the rest of the developed world is responsible for a lot of bad and only a little good - for good is ultimately based upon the Hereafter and what conforms to our Creator and His Message. to be civilized, to be successful, to have honor - that is what you and everyone else should stand up for , fight for, defend, represent, and explain. a genuine, religious, faithful, and most of all, monotheistic cause - is all that will matter once we are no more!
@daNDayati - 2 - on the other hand, to wave the flag of polytheism in its various forms while using temporal materialism as a justification for its validity, well - that is very sad. it is not "audacious" but rather, pathetic. on top of that, the wealth and development of the contemporary westenr world could not exist without the specific application of violence, robbery, exploitation, occupation, and deception.
@Mr1Fox9 (can I pick on some of your language here?) anyway.. "flag of polytheism in its various forms while using temporal materialism" wow.. where is this doctrine described? "violence, robbery, exploitation, occupation, and deception (sounds like regular empire building to me.. everyone has done it)..
@daNDayati - 3 - yet, the consequence of that was gained ends up being hedonism, waste, pollution, depression, mental illness, and mass poverty (even in the developed world)!! have u heard the phrase: "what good is it to gain the world, yet lose your soul"? well, your comments here are a living embodyment of that phrase (all while the western world today, is not even able to sustain whatever they have come to think that they have gained)!
@daNDayati - what the heck are u talking about dandayati - what world are u living in? what civilized world? what unity is there in the non-Muslim world? no more than what is in the current Muslim world actually. you don't have any evidence to defend this ridiculous comment and other nonsense. your perception of some sort of civilization and your ignorance of the application of violence to achieve your current lifestyle and status is what is an indefensible position!
@1TheStrangers : The reason u could not grasp the answer is because of ur lack of understanding and again the Quran tells us that to recite quranic verses or to talk of God without any understand amounts to insulting God. Pls. don't.
What about an open air debate with u or any Muslim scholar of your choice - and let the audience decide who is open minded and who is close-minded, ignorant and arrogant..
@1TheStrangers: : When u come-up with stupid stuff like " wear diapers and didnt have to nourish himself? ; totally overlooking the spiritual aspect of Jesus Holy birth by the power of God Word & Spirit - u r behaving like Lucifer.
Your have no spiritual insight & r only serve the devil with your rhetoric. Surah Lukman showns us that to understand thing to do with God one needs to think higher than physical nature.
I'm sorry guys, but as much as we try to ignore it, there is no question that the Qur'an is a scientific miracle in itself, leading me to believe that it must have been from God. Now, I made the mistake of leaving Islam a short time ago. And I feel that, soon, I will need to retake my Shahadah for you all to see. Because the more I look into it, the more I feel that God wants me to be Muslim. He wants me to take Islam as my faith. I can't just ignore that based on the ignorance of others.
@Christthebridge I'm just going to be a Muslim. The Qur'an tells us that God forbade joining a sect. So if I go to a Mosque, which I will eventually do I'm sure, it wont be because it is part of a sect. It'll be because it allows me to be around good people and to pray with them.
@the0real0realitykid : Let the Quran speak : When Jesus found Unbelief on their part He said: "Who will be My helpers to (the work of) God?" Said the disciples: "We are God's helpers: We believe in God, and do thou bear witness that we are Muslims. Al Imran (52).
Kid, As per Surah Al-Imran 52,: 5-600 years before Mohammad was born, the disciples of Christ were the ones who professed to be Muslims. As such those who follow Jesus are the true Muslims.
@Christthebridge Ok, but is being a Senior Muslim the same thing as associating yourself with a sect? I mean, what's the difference between a Senior Muslim and a Muslim?
Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet of God. Why would I not follow him? Mohammed (pbuh) was also a prophet of God, therefore I will follow his teachings too.
Please apologize because I half expected you to break out in anti-Islamic speech. I've been getting that all the time and I am quite sick of it.
@the0real0realitykid: A Senior Muslim is the one who follows Jesus and when u do so God promises:
"God ordained in the hearts of those who followed Jesus Compassion & Mercy" Surah 57:27 - This is decreed by God in the Quran.
Once u follow Jesus you don't hate people but show compassion and mercy towards others, even your enemies - where as the ordinary Muslim is found to be totally the opposite - and that my friend is the difference.
@the0real0realitykid We need more open minded people like this brother here. some people ( Christthebridge) are so close-minded and arrogant they can't see the truth if it hit them in their behinds.
Muhammad was 40 when he first started reciting, he had been exposed to many ideas. Recitations where prominent in Arabia, Everyone did it practically. Quran is certainly no Miracle. It required many bloody battles to convert arabia into believing it. Muhammad was a false prophet like any other false prophet, like Joseph Smith etc Many tried to expose Muhammad, Some where assassinated for attempts.
“Or they say: ‘He has forged it.’ Say: ‘Then bring ten forged chapters like it and If then they do not answer you, know that it is sent down with the Knowledge of Allah, besides Whom there is no other God. Will you then be Muslims?” [Sûrah Hûd: 13]
The most High does not need me to bring this challenge to you, but i do beseech you, to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE accept this challenge by your creator :) We would ALL like to see how you fair :)
@1TheStrangers Producing something like it would prove nothing. Its a silly challenge, whos to judge which would better? plus there is nothing so great about the qur'an which would merit trying to imititate. Challeging someone to write something similar is like a random author making the same challenge about a book they have written, nobody would take such a challenge as justification for belief in it. Only Muslims do with the Qur'an since its author was silly enough to make such a challenge
@rasul616 I'm sorry friend but i must say you have VERY LITTLE knowledge of what the quran is. and who or what has given you the merit to say that the quran is not great? have you read it IN ITS ORIGINAL ARABIC? that is the true quran. In english it is simply the TRANSLITERATION of the MEANING of the arabic. if your native language is not english, you know as well as i do meaning is lost in translation. the complex and confounding nature and magnificence of the quran is preserved in the arabic.
@rasul616 and would you say someone challenging another to produce a work similar to shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet or Macbeth, which are undoubtedly two of the most excellent pieces of literature in English, silly?? Many masters of the classical arabic, not to mention those who have no knowledge of the language, have attempted to create something remotely similar to the quran and have failed miserably because they could not combine all the elements that the quran succeeds in doing immaculately.
@rasul616 again i say to you if you meet this challenge and do succeed in producing something as flawless and complete as the quran, then that means the quran is a false scripture and I and all muslims will renounce our islam. that i promise you. ALL OF US are that confident in the Most Merciful's perfection in his quran. if you are truly honest human being and a truth-seeker then please check this site out: islamicawarenessDOTorgSLASHquranSLASHmiracle
@1TheStrangers No it wouldnt prove anything. It would only prove that i also can produce and extremely repititive, jumbled, incoherent, backwards mess. There is nothing perfect about the Qur'an, It is only allegedly impressive to Muslims who delude themselves about it, not anyone else.
@rasul616 how can you make such a statement? bring your proof. Sir do you understand arabic? have you ever taken a class about the arabic of the quran and the classical arabic of the ancient arabs? do you even wonder what makes muslims say the quran is literary excellence? such ignorance and plain deafness is beneath as a human
@1TheStrangers Its not ignorance. Its years of study. I do know some of the arabic words and meaing. But now do you meet your own requirements? do you know classical arabic?
And even if u didnt it means nothing. No texts ever has such silly requirements. There are countless translations to compare and tafsirs to gain even greater understandint if need be.
Answer me this. Iblis was kicked out of Jannah after refusing to bow to Adam. How then did he later cause adam and eve to be decieved?
@rasul616 after YEARS of study you know only some of the arabic of the quran? right after that you come up with a statement that tries to brush away the FACT that the arabic quranic text is magnifecent and powerful and needs to be studied in its originality in order to understand truly the meanins. and Alhamdulillah, my native tongue is arabic and i understand almost all of the quran. when the words of it fall on my ears they bring tears to my eyes because of their indescribable perfection.
@Christthebridge "Arabic was the most advanced and comprehensive language at the time when Qur'an was being revealed and it still is the most comprehensive. The terms, concepts and themes would be best clarified and explained in Arabic language and last but not the least, it was the language of the people where it was revealed."(QuranicTeachingDOTcoDOTuk)
@1TheStrangers: How may phonics did the Arab language in the days of Mohammad verses today. 70, 000 phonics in the days of Mohammad & today we have 350,000 phonics.
This itself if sufficient proof that the Quran of Mohammad's days was different than today's Quran.
Also the Quran itself call's the Arabs as being void of understanding. Studies have shown that People who r bilingual r generally more intelligent. Arabs were Arrogant & ignorant & would not accept another language as such ?
@Christthebridge what does the unacceptance of a certain language by a peoples have to do with whether the text is divine or not? The quranic arabic has stood the test of time superbly and not one letter has been touched. it's artistic and literary excellence is beyond comparison and i guarantee you that no other book in the entire world has been preserved in such a way. please explain further what you mean by phonics. Also the prophet told his people to leave that which is evil in their past
Strangers: Divine text is one thing but r u saying that Arabic is a divine language.
Do u believe that Arabic is the language of God & Allah desire that all nations speak Arabic. Do u really believe that that Quran u read today is exactly the same text passed down by Apostle Mohammad.
If so Why ? (study phonics)
Why was the Quran revealed in Arabic.
Leave evil-but the fact is & be realistic - which r the most corrupt counties in the world. Why do people like to settle in the USA & Euro.
@Christthebridge :). I have had this conversation with so many different people and i get the same response im getting from you. it's like those that question god's existence after seeing that there is poverty and death in the world. as if that disproves that there is a god. to answer both your questions, whey are you trying to criticize a religion through the way it's people who "profess" they follow it act? would i tell you " Christianity is evil because
Strangers : You have me all wrong: I am not here to criticize but to bring the true light of Islam to the lost Muslims using there own religious text.
Islam has been hijacked by the Mullah's & is totally off track.. To make thing right one does need to point out the cracks in the wall. If u don't see these crack or want to act as though everything is perfect then you
will be going against the truth & I am all about speaking the Truth. Christianity is not perfect but Christ is - Do u agree.
@Christthebridge in what sense do you mean "perfect"? immaculate and does not sin? sure because he was a prophet more conscious of Allah than anybody else at that time? was he "perfect" in the sense that he didn't need milk as a baby and didn't wear diapers and didnt have to nourish himself? NO he was not free of human imperfection. therefore he was not in any shape or form a god in human body. He as a prophet confirmed a continuation of the message he was trying to preach and the series of
@1TheStrangers: When Allah asked "Iblis", the reason for not obeying HIS command to prostrate to Adam. Satan came-up with somewhat of a similar answer. All those of fail to acknowledge the Spirit of God in Jesus are progeny of Satan and u r his representative.
@Christthebridge how in any way, shape or form is that an answer to my reponse. lol you sound like the catholic church of old that branded everyone that went against their paganistic belief in the trinity, especially the unitarian Christians, as the progeny of Satan and then proceeded to systematically wipe them off the face of this earth. When your backed up in a corner you vomit up the same response as every other ignorant person. Congrats :) you have been assimilated into the bleating masses.
@1TheStrangers: : When u come-up with stupid stuff like " wear diapers and didnt have to nourish himself? ; totally overlooking the spiritual aspect of Jesus Holy birth by the power of God Word & Spirit - u r behaving like Lucifer.
Your have no spiritual insight & r only service the devil with your rhetoric. Surah Lukman showns us that to understand thing to do with God one needs to think higher than physical nature.
@Emind : What son r you talking of , a physical son or a Spiritual son.
God is not "need" dependent - nor does he lack worshipers - God has countless Angles worshiping HIM all the time. - Why do u think God created man/woman ?.
Exactly, so how can God send his "only son" to die for "our sins" supposedly. Oh wait no, now he's actually God oh wait no now hes just the holy spriti? Oh no no, it's all 3 that make God known as Trinity. Lmao what a joke.
@Emind: All religions have an element of trinity in them in the absence of which a religion is meaningless, ether it be Judaism, Christianity or Islam. There as such r two constant and one variable as follows:
1. God - Constant
2. Man - constant
3. The relationship between God & man - The variable.
Each religion is trying to present its founder as having that perfect relation with God and hence the differences.
Let me ask u : Do u consider the Quran to be Divine and if so why/how ?
Your trying to twist my words. Nice try. In Islam their is none other then Allah. I consider the Quran the true message of God. Not sure about your Bible, edited countless many times. Been then again if it wasn't edited you'd still be paying churches and priests ridiculous amount of money;)
I believe the Quran is the Word of God yes. I still get where your going with this. If I think it's divine or not, doesn't change the fact you think a Human is God, and that God is also a holy spirit? I'm sorry but sounds like you guys have your beliefs mixed up. Trinity? Seriously. I'm not trying to be rude or disrespectful towards your beliefs but how do you go from just God to all of a sudden 3 things? In the end I still respect you and what you believe brother.
@Emind :Guess what if Mohammad was born of God's Word & Spirit & not a product of sperm,
U guys would be taking him to be God or a part of God.
In-spite of what the Hadiths say about Mohammad, u folks consider him above Allah-The blasphemy law is a proof. One can get away with utterance against Allah but say a word against PBUH & a Muslim is willing to kill.
If Jesus was the Almighty God,we would not have Trinity - Trinity is an attempt to understand the relation that Jesus has with God.
You know very little of Islam. Mohammad is not viewed as a God or spirit of God. Why do you continue to throw words out of no where? Mohammad is a human. He is the last prophet and the messenger of God. He is no God, nor part of God. He is highly respected for he is a prophet. That is just one instance and maybe a encounter you had for I know Muslims who would never let anyone speak down about God. YOU SAY JESUS IS GOD. That's the difference. AND ITS HUGE.
@Emind: Islam I know well , Muslims?, Tell me can u think of Allah without Mohammad being in the picture - try - u will run a blank.
U Muslims project as though Allah's existence is dependent on Mohammad. I gave u the blasphemy law as a proof & u call it a maybe encounter. Why do u need the blasphemy law I ask.
I do consider Jesus as the only Messiah of mankind not God, He came to fulfill the will of The Heavenly Father - Do u accept Jesus as the only true Messiah of mankind - not God.
(KJV)(Ephesians)(1-17)(That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:)
The God of our Lord Jesus .. OoOoh .. Soo ehm ehm Jesus has a God ?? soo the word ''Lord'' when it's referred to Jesus it's actually means a Master or a Teacher .. NOT GOD .. :
Congrats for having a god that has a god above him that he worships...
@oOoKhaledoOo: True I worship the God of our Lord Jesus Christ & I thank God for your understanding of Ephesians- written by Paul - most Muslim scholars fail to see what the Apostle Paul is presenting. Jesus was born by God Almighty's Word & Spirit so that we may not end-up worshiping thin air but worship God in truth & spirit. I have the assurance that I am not worshiping any of the thousands of gods that the pagans had - what assurance do u have ?.
@Christthebridge: Hahahaha .. actually here Paul says , that Jesus has A GOD above him THEREFORE
Jesus is NOT GOD nor the son of God .. because if he is the son of God (in the begotten understanding) how come a godly son be having A GOD ABOVE HIM
THE GOD OF OUR LORD Jesus .. is the Father (Ellohim/Allah) The only one True God that Jesus used to worship and prostrate on the ground crying like how we Muslims do
Jesus said I thank thee o Father lord of heavens and the earth
@oOoKhaledoOo: It seems u did not get what I stated - pls. read my comments again.
If u r worshiping THE GOD OF OUR LORD Jesus .. the Father (Ellohim/Allah), u r doing good - I do to, without any time constants & not out of fear or gain but out of love. Could u pls. tell other Muslims to do the same i-e worship THE GOD OF OUR LORD Jesus the Father - once such a understanding is established - it does not matter much if it is Yahweh, Elohim or Allah - All Arabic Christian us Allah for God.
@Christthebridge: Actually I don't need to tell them that.. Because that's from the basics things in the Islamic faith .. We believe in the One God , Lord of the heavens and the earth . The One who has created all human beings .. The One who sent many apostles to mankind .. God of Noah & Abraham & Jacob & Issac & Joseph & David & Solomon & Jesus & Muhammad .. and all the prophets
But the ones who really need to know this are Christians , because they worship the creation(Jesus) not the Creator
@Christthebridge: Actually I don't need to tell them that.. Because that's from the basics things in the Islam ..
@coolaidkiller101: U had stated:, 'i dont believe in chrisinity(anymore),islam=best religon and peace' and now : "i was never a christian". Also "christianity=corrupt and broken and now "christian,i didnt think it was corrupt though"
@Christthebridge prophets he was a part of. He informed and gave glad tidings to his disciples of another to come after him that will be "all together lovely" which in hebrew texts reads as "MUHAMMADEN".
@Christthebridge the perpetrators of the OKlahoma City Bombings were Christians or in the 60's christians were racist against African Americans? be just and fair. you need to study the religion itself not the people who follow it. but Muhammed (pbuh) instilled, among hundreds of other characteristics, in his people truthfulness and honesty when it comes to trade, BELIEF IN THE ONENESS OF ALLAH, rights of women in the community, outlaw and forbid drinking which was prevalent, organization under
@Christthebridge one ruler, unity among the warring tribes, friendliness and acceptance of those not of your tribe, equality among the different peoples of this world ( no racism whatsoever), man i could write a book about this and not be done with it. I don't understand why you have to interject " and are followed to the letter by muslims these days" that is ridiculous. How many christians follow what the bible tells them? be fair and just.
@Christthebridge lives and stick to what was good. the arabs at the time ( and still today) were known for their hospitality, for example. this is greatly emphasized in islam and The Prophet (PBUH) told them to keep that nature. I don't understand how that is wrong in any way. and when you say MOST of the islamic vaules... you are outright lying. Alot of arabs at that time would not accept it because it spoke HARSHLY against the evil of their actions and traditions.
Strangers: lives and stick to what was good - that's sound advice and it is for this very reason that I am trying to draw your attention to Surah 57:27 of the Quran:
"GOD ORDAINED IN THE HEARTS OF THOSE WHO FOLLOWED JESUS COMPASSION & MERCY".
Who as per the above verse is Allah asking u to follow ?
U have established the hospitality of the Arabs.Kindly list 10 Values Islam introduced to the Arabs which were not there prior to Islam, which r prevalent in to-days Muslims.
@Christthebridge the quran states "Now if We had made it a Qur'an in a non-Arabic tongue they would surely have said, "Why is it that its verses have not been made clear? Why - a foreign tongue and an Arab?" "For those who accept it, this is a Guidance and medicine for a wholesome life. (41:44)
@Strangers So 41.44 shows us that the Quran was revealed in Arabic for the Arabs to understand if it was brought to them in any other tongue - Arabs would have rejected God's word. Is it not an irony that every Muslim is forced to learn Arabic even if he is not a Arab.
Most of the the so called Islamic values that u hold dear are actual pagan Arab values. eg. the hijab/Naqab - It was common prior to Islam so as to safeguard the females. What impact did Islam have if hajab is still required.
@rasul616 this is something i pray that you will one day, after a couple more years of supposed studying, you can also experience. In answer to your question: i hope it isn't a weak attempt to try to weaken my resolve because inshallah you won't be able to do that. Now, the Jinn have free will, just like we do as humans. we choose our paths just as they do. Iblis was removed from the heavens because of the decision he made to disobey Allah and in essence become a kaffir.
@rasul616 When Allah tells him "‘Then, get out from here, for verily, you are Rajeem (an outcast or a cursed one). And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)", it is the signal that iblis has fallen out of Allah's favor as a humble slave and worshipper of him. if you have read the quran then you must have read in surah al mulk "We have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps - a means of bombardment on the devils." ayah five.
@rasul616 you should have also come by a verse that states "And we (jinn) touched the heavens, but found it full of powerful guards and projectiles. And we used to sit in it in places of listening, but anyone who sits now finds a projectile seeking him." (72:8-9). these two verses show that the jinn previously had the ability to eavesdrop on the most basic of Allah's commands to the angels or certain heavenly information that allah allowed for them to her. Iblis had this power and although he
@rasul616 physically was not in heaven anymore and he had fallen out of the grace of Allah, his influence and whispering still had an effect on the first two humans. now putting that random question aside, I urge you read an article written by Prof. Gary Miller called the Amazing Quran. you can find it in pdf format free online if you google it. it will take 30 minutes of your time and i assure you if youre a sincere person and not somone who is looking to just bash
@1TheStrangers There is no battle. The truth is painfully obvious to anyone who is willing to employ honesty or a little skepticism, but as a former Muslim I know Muslims force out skepticism and it is not allowed, just blind faith without any form of skepticism.
@rasul616 wow. no reply to my question. no " Thank you, i will check it out if only for the lone reason of trying to find a way to disprove it". That, my friend, is plain IGNORANCE and ARROGANCE. I pray that Allah will guide you and open your heart and mind up cause there aint no way in hell they are now. you make sure you live a "happy" life because if you keep living in your current shameful attitude of ignorance then rest assured your final destination will be VERY unhappy n hot. Enough said.
@1TheStrangers It has nothing to do with attitude or arrogance but pure plain truth. Its either true or false and it is clearly false. Thats it. A belief in a falsehood will lead u nowhere.
@rasul616 lol ive gotten the same exact response from you in the past two days, just worded differently. youre like a tape recorder :) did they teach you how to do that in missionary school my friend?
@1TheStrangers The truth is plainly clear. You believe blindly and are never skeptical cause you are afraid to. If u where even a little u would leave in a sec
lets just say there is a god ..why should be pray to him? or why should we believe in him ? is it because cause if we don't we'll go to Hell and its gonna be really painful?
@mhr88 You say it like you can take it. But, it won't just be pain like you've ever felt before, no matter who you are, how hardened you are, you would mind and body will wish they had another chance to change and worship the Creator.
THe Islamic believe to your first question of "why should we pray to him". Is because we believe that God gives us blessings everyday, he gave us birth, he tests us with hardship and he protects us from evil. Basically everything we have, is because of God.
@mhr88 Now if someone does that many favours for you (the Quran states "Man can try as much as he wants, but he would never be able to count all the blessings we have given him"), shouldn't we return the favour?
The second reason is because God said in the Quran; "And I did not create man for any other purpose but to worship me". That's clear as anything.
@mhr88 The other approach is, if you don't want to believe in God that's fine. But, do you really think such intelligent lifeforms such as ourselves came about "by chance", with no purpose or anything? Is like just about having fun all the time, drinking, growing old and then once your dead that's it? Or is there a real purpose in life?
"We created the human being from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to test him: We gave him the faculties of hearing and sight and provided him wit guidance; whether he be grateful or ungrateful (depends on him)." [Q 76: 2-3]
Jazaka Allah kheiran for sharing.

daNDayati 4 months ago
it is deceitful to claim that the koran is independent of any learned influence.. the author or authors had the advantage of contact with scholars, doctors and those who worked the trade routes.. there is no particular mystery for a non-adherent to islamic dogma. The echo-chamber or re-enforcement of religious beliefs does a dis-service to truth.
daNDayati 4 months ago
Well, there was a Christian man who said that he taught Muhammad things, the hadith of which can be found in Bukhari. There's even a rather amusing one stating that Muhammad rewrote part of the Hudaybiyyah treaty. And actually, the Qur'an was edited and updated, ostensibly, to standardise the readings. This is said to have happened once every year, and twice in the last year of his life.
ConsideringPhlebas 5 months ago
@ConsideringPhlebas the Quran wasnt written untill after Hz mohammed (sav) passed away
at that time a very few people knew how to write it was a type of arabic sandscript and Hz. mohammed (sav)
was no exception to this. the information he was given was told to hes followers in speech and memorized
at the time he's followers started to age and very few to remember they decided to have it written to prevent it from disappearing out of memories since thats were it actually was kept long after Hz.M
DosBox8Bit 5 months ago
@DosBox8Bit
ConsideringPhlebas 5 months ago
@DosBox8Bit
WRONG. They decided to have it written because Islam was spreading so fast and they wanted to teach the new believers.

The Quran in written form appeared 200 years after the life of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh). I believe the Quran underwent a great deal of change and revision during this period, so you are right, it wasn't a 1 hit wonder, it was a cultural document that took over 200 years to produce. This is true for all religious texts.
brahimbug 5 months ago
@brahimbug Interesting theory, but factually incorrect. It was not only written down during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad by scribes as dictated by the Prophet, but also compiled in book form as well. What do you think Muslims recite when they pray anyway? Right, the Qur'an, and this has been recited since the advent of Islam. You can "believe" anything you want, however, for someone who requires evidence, I'd recommend acquiring some prior to making such statements. Peace.
BonsaiSky 5 months ago
@BonsaiSky I myself raised a muslim lol. i know perfectly well what we recite. I however do not believe what we recite is the same as what Muhammad preached. I should have been more clear. The accepted version of the Quran we have today was not produced until 200 years after. The revisions are a historical fact swept under the rug.
brahimbug 5 months ago
@brahimbug I love it when someone who claims to have been raised Muslim believes that it nullifies a historical fact. Who says that and swept under what rug? You're grasping.
BonsaiSky 5 months ago
@BonsaiSky There were about four versions to be exact. it got to the point where some Muslims were calling other Muslims heretics. all recorded in history. so a political decision was made to have one 'official' version, which was undoubtedly designed to serve the political power. I suggest you also look into it. I am proud of my Muslim heritage but i think there is more beauty in truth rather than a fictitious ideal. and regardless, changed or not, it is a book that offers wisdom.
brahimbug 5 months ago
@brahimbug Muslims already had power bro. The Prophet Muhammad had plenty of opportunities to live like a king, but instead chose to sleep on a straw mat. You and I both know that. It wasn't a political decision to burn all other Qur'ans other than to preserve the linguistic essence of it because folks were pronouncing terms and vowels incorrectly because there were no "harakat" associated when the words. No hash marks etc. The point is that it never changed. If you say it did, by who?
BonsaiSky 5 months ago
@BonsaiSky I am not questioning the prophet Muhammad's integrity, I am questioning the claim to the divine. and within Islam there are multiple faction, it inst power for the Muslims, it is power for a certain group of people within Islamic society. for example, one thing we can see eye to eye one, the division between Shi'ite and Sunni Muslims, one group thought it should be passed by vote, the other by blood, can you not see the the political issues that underlie such a disagreement?
brahimbug 5 months ago
@brahimbug How can you claim to not question his integrity, when he claimed the revelation to be divine? You either believe what he says is true or you believe he is a liar. Pick one and we can go from there.
BonsaiSky 5 months ago
@BonsaiSky lol i believe those who preceded him, who most benefited from the Islamic order, they are the ones who fabricated his divinity. It is the same as Christianity, Jesus never himself claimed to be the son of God, the Catholic church made the claim on his behalf to solidify their domination over the faith. This is another historical truth that the Catholic church keeps on a tight leash for the sake of their own legitimacy.

The evidance for you might not be enough to convince you but i think we need to overcome this fear of questioning divinity in order to make the most of islam
brahimbug 5 months ago

@UrHillarious actually we have a very small carbon footprint and our back yard is really small and clean.... well so much for your deflecting the question at hand.. i.e. that islam needs to be exposed as primarily antisocial (in a western sense) and those that adhere need to be closely controlled. Education is also key to lessening that dogma's influence.

Mr1Fox9 3 months ago
@Mr1Fox9 (you missed my previous post.. and me by about 5500 km ) The education here is quite good and it has been centuries since we have had an empire (and have been saddled with charges of war crimes).. Nice try though.. Educational brainwashing? Then why is half of the maghreb studying here? go figure..
daNDayati 3 months ago
@daNDayati - there is nothing to miss in your posts. one has heard the lies of your kind many times over. the education is so good that most of your youth can't even locate the nation their democratically elected leaders are bombing on a map! so enough with the lies!! the personal biographies of various, hedonistic celebrities is more well known to your people than the bibliographies of the founding fathers of your government's constitution. go figure
Mr1Fox9 3 months ago
@daNDayati - 1 - half the Maghreb? can you provdie proof of this. first, a tally of the exact population of the whole Maghran (this is not just one country). then, evidence that half of them migrated to the west. then further evidence that most of them stayed and did not go back. it is true that foreigners comprise an increasing majority of graduate students in western societies. that supports what i just said about the true status of your people. they are so inundated with evil...
Mr1Fox9 3 months ago
@daNDayati - 2 - and hedonism and materialism (something u suffer from based on the lies in various comments u have here), that they need to drain the brain power of foreign lands and nations...takeing from those lands what their forefathers failed to take during their imperial adventures and economic occupations (from before)! lets hope that these particular students leave as quickly as they arrive (so they don't end up like the sheep around them).
Mr1Fox9 3 months ago
@Mr1Fox9 no actually, the magrebíes are very welcome to stay.. (most want to..) The brain drain is indeed a fact.. and a sad one at that.. the developed world needs educated professionals..
daNDayati 3 months ago
@daNDayati - 1 - no, the US and the rest of the developed world is responsible for a lot of bad and only a little good - for good is ultimately based upon the Hereafter and what conforms to our Creator and His Message. to be civilized, to be successful, to have honor - that is what you and everyone else should stand up for , fight for, defend, represent, and explain. a genuine, religious, faithful, and most of all, monotheistic cause - is all that will matter once we are no more!
Mr1Fox9 3 months ago
@daNDayati - 2 - on the other hand, to wave the flag of polytheism in its various forms while using temporal materialism as a justification for its validity, well - that is very sad. it is not "audacious" but rather, pathetic. on top of that, the wealth and development of the contemporary westenr world could not exist without the specific application of violence, robbery, exploitation, occupation, and deception.
Mr1Fox9 3 months ago

daNDayati 3 months ago
@daNDayati - 3 - yet, the consequence of that was gained ends up being hedonism, waste, pollution, depression, mental illness, and mass poverty (even in the developed world)!! have u heard the phrase: "what good is it to gain the world, yet lose your soul"? well, your comments here are a living embodyment of that phrase (all while the western world today, is not even able to sustain whatever they have come to think that they have gained)!

I am a Senior Muslim.
Christthebridge 7 months ago
@Christthebridge Ok, but is being a Senior Muslim the same thing as associating yourself with a sect? I mean, what's the difference between a Senior Muslim and a Muslim?
Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet of God. Why would I not follow him? Mohammed (pbuh) was also a prophet of God, therefore I will follow his teachings too.

Only Muslims do with the Qur'an since its author was silly enough to make such a challenge
rasul616 7 months ago
@rasul616 I'm sorry friend but i must say you have VERY LITTLE knowledge of what the quran is. and who or what has given you the merit to say that the quran is not great? have you read it IN ITS ORIGINAL ARABIC? that is the true quran. In english it is simply the TRANSLITERATION of the MEANING of the arabic. if your native language is not english, you know as well as i do meaning is lost in translation. the complex and confounding nature and magnificence of the quran is preserved in the arabic.
1TheStrangers 7 months ago
@rasul616 and would you say someone challenging another to produce a work similar to shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet or Macbeth, which are undoubtedly two of the most excellent pieces of literature in English, silly?? Many masters of the classical arabic, not to mention those who have no knowledge of the language, have attempted to create something remotely similar to the quran and have failed miserably because they could not combine all the elements that the quran succeeds in doing immaculately.
1TheStrangers 7 months ago

There is nothing perfect about the Qur'an, It is only allegedly impressive to Muslims who delude themselves about it, not anyone else.
rasul616 7 months ago
@rasul616 how can you make such a statement? bring your proof. Sir do you understand arabic? have you ever taken a class about the arabic of the quran and the classical arabic of the ancient arabs? do you even wonder what makes muslims say the quran is literary excellence? such ignorance and plain deafness is beneath as a human
1TheStrangers 7 months ago
@1TheStrangers Its not ignorance. Its years of study. I do know some of the arabic words and meaing. But now do you meet your own requirements? do you know classical arabic?
And even if u didnt it means nothing. No texts ever has such silly requirements. There are countless translations to compare and tafsirs to gain even greater understandint if need be.
Answer me this. Iblis was kicked out of Jannah after refusing to bow to Adam. How then did he later cause adam and eve to be decieved?
rasul616 7 months ago
@rasul616 after YEARS of study you know only some of the arabic of the quran? right after that you come up with a statement that tries to brush away the FACT that the arabic quranic text is magnifecent and powerful and needs to be studied in its originality in order to understand truly the meanins. and Alhamdulillah, my native tongue is arabic and i understand almost all of the quran. when the words of it fall on my ears they bring tears to my eyes because of their indescribable perfection.

@1TheStrangers: Why was the Quran revealed in Arabic ?.
Christthebridge 7 months ago

Christthebridge 7 months ago
@Christthebridge what does the unacceptance of a certain language by a peoples have to do with whether the text is divine or not? The quranic arabic has stood the test of time superbly and not one letter has been touched. it's artistic and literary excellence is beyond comparison and i guarantee you that no other book in the entire world has been preserved in such a way. please explain further what you mean by phonics. Also the prophet told his people to leave that which is evil in their past

@Emind: All religions have an element of trinity in them in the absence of which a religion is meaningless, ether it be Judaism, Christianity or Islam. There as such r two constant and one variable as follows:
1. God - Constant
2. Man - constant
3. The relationship between God & man - The variable.
Each religion is trying to present its founder as having that perfect relation with God and hence the differences.
Let me ask u : Do u consider the Quran to be Divine and if so why/how ?

@Emind: U have not seen God, but believe in HIM based on the Quran - scriptures that was revealed to Mohammad
God is Holy, All Muslim consider the Quran to be Holy - and u call Mohammad "The holy Prophet".
So as such for the Muslims this holy trinity that has resulted in 'ISLAM'. Do u agree.
If not, u would most likely be worshiping "JEHOVAH" and not "ALLAH".
Christian have not seen God, but the one born of God's Word & Spirit - is the closets representation of God - Jesus Christ.
Christthebridge 7 months ago
@Christthebridge
That actually still makes no sense. We don't say Mohammad is God do we? You truly believe Jesus is God. Which just sounds ridiculous to me.
Emind 7 months ago
@Emind :Guess what if Mohammad was born of God's Word & Spirit & not a product of sperm,
U guys would be taking him to be God or a part of God.
In-spite of what the Hadiths say about Mohammad, u folks consider him above Allah-The blasphemy law is a proof. One can get away with utterance against Allah but say a word against PBUH & a Muslim is willing to kill.
If Jesus was the Almighty God,we would not have Trinity - Trinity is an attempt to understand the relation that Jesus has with God.
Christthebridge 7 months ago
@Christthebridge
Emind 7 months ago
@Emind: Islam I know well , Muslims?, Tell me can u think of Allah without Mohammad being in the picture - try - u will run a blank.
U Muslims project as though Allah's existence is dependent on Mohammad. I gave u the blasphemy law as a proof & u call it a maybe encounter. Why do u need the blasphemy law I ask.
I do consider Jesus as the only Messiah of mankind not God, He came to fulfill the will of The Heavenly Father - Do u accept Jesus as the only true Messiah of mankind - not God.

@Christthebridge : Ehm Ehm .. A question ..
Does God have a god above him ?
(KJV)(Ephesians)(1-17)(That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:)
The God of our Lord Jesus .. OoOoh .. Soo ehm ehm Jesus has a God ?? soo the word ''Lord'' when it's referred to Jesus it's actually means a Master or a Teacher .. NOT GOD .. :
Congrats for having a god that has a god above him that he worships...
oOoKhaledoOo 6 months ago
@oOoKhaledoOo: True I worship the God of our Lord Jesus Christ & I thank God for your understanding of Ephesians- written by Paul - most Muslim scholars fail to see what the Apostle Paul is presenting. Jesus was born by God Almighty's Word & Spirit so that we may not end-up worshiping thin air but worship God in truth & spirit. I have the assurance that I am not worshiping any of the thousands of gods that the pagans had - what assurance do u have ?.
Christthebridge 5 months ago
@Christthebridge: Hahahaha .. actually here Paul says , that Jesus has A GOD above him THEREFORE
Jesus is NOT GOD nor the son of God .. because if he is the son of God (in the begotten understanding) how come a godly son be having A GOD ABOVE HIM
THE GOD OF OUR LORD Jesus .. is the Father (Ellohim/Allah) The only one True God that Jesus used to worship and prostrate on the ground crying like how we Muslims do
Jesus said I thank thee o Father lord of heavens and the earth
oOoKhaledoOo 5 months ago

1TheStrangers 7 months ago

1TheStrangers 7 months ago
@rasul616 When Allah tells him "‘Then, get out from here, for verily, you are Rajeem (an outcast or a cursed one). And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)", it is the signal that iblis has fallen out of Allah's favor as a humble slave and worshipper of him. if you have read the quran then you must have read in surah al mulk "We have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps - a means of bombardment on the devils." ayah five.
1TheStrangers 7 months ago
@rasul616 you should have also come by a verse that states "And we (jinn) touched the heavens, but found it full of powerful guards and projectiles. And we used to sit in it in places of listening, but anyone who sits now finds a projectile seeking him." @mhr88 You say it like you can take it.
Perseveranze 9 months ago
@mhr88 Now if someone does that many favours for you (the Quran states "Man can try as much as he wants, but he would never be able to count all the blessings we have given him"), shouldn't we return the favour?
The second reason is because God said in the Quran; "And I did not create man for any other purpose but to worship me". That's clear as anything.
Perseveranze 9 months ago
@mhr88 The other approach is, if you don't want to believe in God that's fine. But, do you really think such intelligent lifeforms such as ourselves came about "by chance", with no purpose or anything? Is like just about having fun all the time, drinking, growing old and then once your dead that's it? Or is there a real purpose in life?
In the end, all I can say is;
