Basically, the piano player was getting annoyed because this guy kept clapping right before he finished his "music" (don't know the word for it). This caused the entire audience to start clapping so he didn't finish his... "music". The piano player made his own "music" that was impossible for the guy to find the ending so he finished his song before the guy started clapping. The piano player discovered that he needed the guy to get the audience to clap because they wert listng.

I first heard about this film on a BBC News article about clapping during The Proms, and I thought I'd search on Wikipedia - didn't quite get the article I was looking for!

But anyway, I loved this short-film, I actually gasped when he clapped too early! The ending just seemed like an unconventional love story - the artist wanting the approval, 'love', of the early clapping. Great film. :D

/Review/ Although this film isn't LOL funny, it leaves space for comedic imagination. It doesn't tell you where to laugh but guides you to meditate and laugh all you want inside. Very dramatic approaches to each character create wonderful back drop for the main character. Clap is our response to something agreeable, like saying 'amen'. The film ends with claps, I say 'amen' to that. I think the parts with slow motion do not go well with the whole emotions build up, otherwise great. [4/5]

I agree with groomdoggi, if anyone hasnt checked out the somegreybloke videos, you're missing out! This was an interesting idea, with big production value, but it could have been better. There was little at stake, and I never believed in the main character's motivation for clapping first... in fact, if it hadn't been for the title and description, that wouldn't be clear until 5 or 6 minutes in. The timing and writing could be stronger.
