When you see a picture of a coach with a truckers hart on, dark glasses and that famous chin, anyone in sports knows who that man is. His face is just as recognizable as any other coaching legends, his fire in his belly for Iowa football is unmatched and his ability to turn our program around was unmatched by any other coach that came to Iowa. Hayden will forever be a God in Hawkeye country.

Hayden Fry is a sexist and a homophob. Most importantly, he started the most stupid tradition in all of college football...the hokey pokey after a win. Stupid!
Classic Hayden.....Love the man to death and he is the reason we celebrate the Hawks today, but it always amazed me how bad he thought he had it with the Iowa media. Put Hayden in Chicago or New York and he really would have had some critics. Thanks for the memories Hayden!
Hayden had to get some stuff off his chest. When you get past 65 you get tired of putting up with stuff you;'ve dealt with for several decades. It gets old and you don't want to waste precious time listening to people half your age being hyper-critical because negative shit sells more papers and magazines. Now daddy is gonna climb down off his high horse.

Hayden is my second dad. I was rasied on SMU football during the Fry era. My two adopted big brothers are Chuck Hixson and Tommy Frasier.
