Ok I might sound stupid here but, does Aston Martin still build this model ? Because I went on their website several times and they doesn't list it anymore as one of their car. Did the DB9 took it's place ?

@klb2000000 no, production of that car stopped a few years ago. The successor is a slightly slower slightly less powerful DBS which you will, I'm sure know, is essentially a DB9 in terms of looks. The engine and exhaust notes are to die for. Pity about the performance though.

@klb2000000 Yeah, no other car on the planet sounds like it except the DBS. I actullally think the DBS looks even a bit better, especially the rear end (don't we all like a good looking rear end), but the performance, that's the tragedy. Over here in Germany where you have no speed limits on more than 60% of the Autobahnen you're forever up against remapped E55s, M5s etc. and they make mince meatment of the Astons. The Aston only has the looks and the sounds. But for fun thrashing here, no good.

@trident3b Exactly. I gotta admit the DBS got a better looking rear end than the Vanquish (I like your joke there), but the front of the car really made me fell in love with it as a kid. Especially the lights and the prononced curves that follows them on the hood. In termes of perfomance I must say that I don't know anything about it but I'm gonna trust you on what you're saying. If I had an Aston Martin here in Quebec, I couldn't really push it because we do have speed limits.

Well, if you manage to afford an Aston some day then Canada and the likes are the perfect places since performance will be secondary, as it simply cannot be used. I've driven at speeds in excess of 150 for over 25 years now, massive fun. It's possible here, though it MUST be learned! The DBS engine/exhaust note is music.

It must be really awesome but pretty dangerous to drive that fast on public roads. Your adrenaline must be pumping during the whole time. But I heard that in places where there is no speed limits, it take a lot of time to get your licenses, And yeah the engine sound of the Aston is pure music to my ears. DB9 is actually better built, better inside styling, more modern tech all round, plus available from scratch with manual box (as opposed to £13,500 retro-fit option only for Vanquish and Vanquish S)

DB9 also has Volante convertible variant, only 1 convertible Vanquish was ever made (Zagato Roadster).

Many think Vanquish better looking, I'm one..

To trump DB9 easily go Vanquish S - everything uprated ;>
