I'm just wondering why Olivia (i.e. the writers) chose to identify Elliot as an MOS officer, instead of a detective, to dispatch. Figured he'd get the A team regardless, but still, I'd rather that the NYPD and FD knew I was a fellow officer as opposed to military. Just nitpicking...

I'm not entirely certain, but I *believe* this extraction (which is done by the book, although they somewhat compressed the timeframe for TV purposes) was actually done by the FDNY as a training exercise in cooperation with the producers. It's about as professional a job as I've seen, on TV or not, and I found it really rather impressive.

It is a TV show. Obviously not everything will be realistic, and they will make the characters more dramatic to make the show more dramamtic. If you hate Elliot Stabler so much, then get your little asses off a video with him in it. :)
