Why do Muslims use the word Allah? (Whats the Deal with Islam?)

that did not generate enough logic for the justification of using the word allah instead of God when you speak english, I always found it silly when muslims say "allah" while they are speaking english, especially when they claim that there is one god, which is the same god in chrisitianity and judaisem. for me it is stupid to use the word allah while you speak english, you speak english you say God, russian Gabsod, german Gott and so on.....

That Muslims would also thought that Jesus is another God? Where he's actually a prophet, like Muhammad s.a.w. . I think how you feel depends on the person who says it and the person who listens. It wont be weird or silly if ure American/English and a Muslim. It wont be weird or silly if everyone actually do researches on this kind of things.

@sofiemuhd that is not correct, arab christians say: Yasou'e A- masseh, which is an arabic word come from the aramian word Yashou'e which is the real name of jesus,so don't say that christians say that coz they dont,when you make an argument, check if it is correct OK,so you could not explain why muslims use the word allah while they are speaking english other than it is a stupid tradition,by saying christians do the same with jesus that does not explain why you do it,and you were wrong anyway.

It's not mandatory to grow one. I certainly shave mine from time to time, stop associating it with how religious a person is, forget the outer look of a person and rather look at the inner message.

I swear this is the reason why this Umma will never rise again. Because of small things like this.

@darkzero550 salaam bro, i think you'll find it is mandatory to grow one, and that can be proven with various authentic narrations from the prophet Muhammad (salallahu alayhi wasallam). If you don't feel comfortable to stop shaving, that's fine, just grow the beard when you're ready, but you can't say its not compulsory to have a beard, because it is :)

I am not going to argue the narrations. They are all clear to me and to any true Muslim.

My point is that if you do grow a beard then you're following the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him. You will get Hassnat for it in Akhirah. That is a given. Not growing it however doesn't make you a lesser Muslim nor dose it give you sayyiat. It's not compulsory like Wodoo is for prayer or wearing Ihram clothing for Hajj.

Allah SWT says in the Quran that "O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak)." (8:20)

also..“So take what the Messenger gives you, and refrain from what he prohibits you. And fear Allah: for Allah is strict in Punishment." (Quran 59:7) (continued...)

okay, having said that let’s see what the Muhammad (saw) said in regards to growing the beard..

"Rasulullah (S.A.W) ordered us to trim the moustache closely and spare the beard" says Ibn Umar.

- Muslim, Hadith no. 449

Rasulullah (S.A.W) said "I have no connection with one who shaves, shouts and tears his clothing eg. in grief or affication."

- Muslim, Hadith no. 501

Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Umar (R.A.) relates that: "He who imitates the kuffar (non-believers) and dies in that state, he will be raised up with them on the Day of Qiyamat (Judgement)."
