its cool, but on a plane of that size its unnecessary, the big liners come in much higher than him but they look lower because of the size, and he's coming in with no flaps probably about 60-70 percent throttle, accident waiting to happen there, probably gets a thrill going that low and who wouldn't, but a tiny plane like that should really make more of an effort to keep away from people and obstacles, not try to get a close as he can.
Im not saying its fake but at the begining was fake, no trianed pilot will land vertical, they cove from more of an angle. But the landing wasn't fake.
@A2StaticX the whole video was real, it is called: pilots aren't robots and like to have fun without endangering the lives of others, so they buzz an area LEGALLY, as low as they feel safe to go, and then keep power in to counteract the displaced threshold, flare, and land how many hours of flying do you have? You must have some to be juristicting a professional pilots viable flight path in a video...
it's st. maartens, everyone has to come in low. i had to land a gulfstream there once, and the gs is really low on that one. it's like trying to thread a needle at 100 kts.
@sofruity3 It's because it's SXM, where people go to be buzzed by aircraft, among other things :) Thus, pilots buzz beachgoers on purpose, knowing that it's one big attraction in Saint Maarten :)
Planes that little have no need to be that low, this was showing off, notice how long it took him to just put the wheels down at that altitude, he was gliding until at an good speed for landing :P
@Gabe4D Yeah St Maarten runway is very many times longer than Caravan would need to land, clearly no need to really go that low if they didnt want to :D
@MrSTRIKER52 hehe. I'm sorry I'm quite tired ;) what I tried to say was "it's Boeing, but not the 727 :( Better luck next time = )" well I guess I kind of reviled the answer. Sorry :(
Its NOT normal for St maarten. Maybe if It was a 747 wich need all of the short runway. But not for this Cessna Caravn. It could have touched down in middle of the runway.
dyan, dont listen to them, they are just not fascinated of planes, and they don't know how dangerous it can be if the landingtrack is right to the see and he flies over all these people, thats why it is so special
@pilotdynan dude the first time i went on a plane was from this same airport.i live right next door and when i am leaving for vacation i always go to this airport. 3-not all the planes that come here land over 100mph, the pilots just do it for so( like 4 fun)
@sniperkid389 Fact is they DO land with wing's full of fuel not all of them DUMP those air bus's will dump fuel mid air .
2.You're really just talking nonsense here not '' a plane '' IF THAT Cessna hit's the fence there is going to be a lot of carnage because I'll tell you right now it will shatter into a bunch of pieces.
