  • interesting^^;

  • Como que se pierden al final un poco, pero en general tocaron bien

  • If you want to be really impressed, watch this piece being performed by only ONE person. The most difficult thing these guys are doing is just staying together. Go listen to the man Vladimir Horowitz himself perform this. Now that's amazing! Volodos gives a fantastic performance of it too. And, you get to see his hands move. Wow!

  • @Beethovenfan12 I agree, Horowitz's version of Stars and Stripes is amazing. I'm a huge fan of it, and it's insanely difficult. But in all fairness, this version IS different than Horowitz's version, not in difficulty but definitely in texture. This arrangement has features that one person could not do by him/herself (esp 2:22-2:38). Again, I'm a huge fan of the Horowitz version, but this piece is not simply a "spread out" version of his.

  • @becauseiplaythepiano I can agree that they have modified it, but it is still amazing that ONE person can get (almost) the same sound as the FOUR. I think the solo version is better. These guys muddy this up too much. There is so much sound going on that the tune is almost lost. I think it might have helped if they had taken it a bit slower. On a positive, I do think they are good pianists, and it was fun to see their hands from above.

  • Love it !! Can't you make even more videos like this ?

What about the 'Hungarian Polka' by Imre Alfoldy.

  • i can't feel.

  • Too fast to enjoy it.

  • Yeah, the modulation was quite horrid, it seemed like everyone fell behind/ahead in the tempo. Other than that, it was pretty good. :)

  • wow that is very impressive! Bravo!

  • Chinamen playing the stars and strips.

  • Oh Jesus, that horrible modulation at the end! But I have to say, the ensemble playing was very good. The arrangement, not so much!

  • Absolutely wonderful! Loved the key change at the end too!!

  • I loved hearing and seeing this! Wish I could do what even 2 of those eight hands could do! The ending was really great!

  • Amazing....magnificent.....incredible!

  • Stop commenting that they're "playing too fast" that just shows they have enough TO play it that fast. I doubt all you people that comment that couldn't even play this song

  • oh its great! thanks for posting this! xie xie ni :)

  • THEY ARE PLAYING THIS MUSIC TOO FAST !!! (I WAS IN THE U.S.ARMY & ALSO, IN THE U.S.MARINE CORPS & WE COULD NOT EVEN MARCH TO THIS SPEED !!

    SEMPER FI, fred

  • Wilberg arrangement?

  • I have tears streaming down my face right now.

  • Far too fast! It's supposed be a march, not a sprint!

  • Beautiful. The beginning reminds me of the Tiny Toons.

  • circus!

  • lol you're right

  • This puts a smile on my face every time! :)

  • it takes not one but four asians to play an american song the right way....

  • too fast

  • That is what i Call MARCH! Other versions of it is very Boring!

  • That's a incredible version of that bautifull american march. A precious national anthem.

    Excellent.

  • :-D good!

  • O.O

  • Gosh darn it,

even at that the chineese are better ! :-)

  • im learning this song for a camp thingy. i personally feel that these types of "march tempo" songs can be played and sound good at any tempo, especially fast. it also makes the song more interesting to listen to when youve heard it the same way over and over in the past.

  • What's really scary is that four guys at two pianos can't even hold a candle to one guy at one piano.

Of course, that one guy being Vladimir Horowitz, I can't really blame anyone.

  • no this is a two piano arrangement, a little different the horowitz solo

  • That's... um... exactly what I said.

Like I said, four guys at two pianos still can't make as much sound or play as well as Horowitz at one piano.

  • o yeah!!! im learning that song now!!!

  • loved it too...just a tad bit fast but hey, every interpretation has its own flavor

  • that was great.

the speed made it intense =)

    i LOVED the ending!!!

  • ...damn...loved it

  • 1:47 awesome

  • I thought the camera guy just found a really, really good angle..

judging from the support-arm-thingies though, it seems as though the covers were removed alltogether.

  • Very good, that is for sure, but a march tempo is not like "Allegro" where faster is necessarily better; a march tempo is generally a distinct, specified tempo of about 120. You guys pull it off, but maybe a little too much allargando before the final strain.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT JOB

  • OMG i cant...just...WOW!!!! Props to you thats crazy!!! bloody amazing. Im really speechless

  • great talent...just a little too fast for a march!! I'd hate to be marching down that parade at that tempo!! Great for a aerobic marching maybe! jejeje

    Great job though!

  • u guys ar cool!!

  • Molta tecnica ma poco gusto.

    Jacopo Trombone.

  • i totally agree with DFDalton1962 about the speed. it is extremely fast for a march, and the finale is just plain ridiculusly fast. it is a march, it is supposed to be played at walking tempo. listen to horowitz, who actually arranged it for piano solo, AND was one of the greatest pianists ever. it sounds very intriguing at this speed but it is empty of any musicality. 2/5 for technique alone.

  • one minute in is the merry go round song :)

  • haha guys they love you! studio students forever!! (including me lawl)

  • actually, this piece is normally taken very fast.

  • if they play the piano, they don´t have anything better to do??

  • Good playing...lose the asian pride though, it's annoying and classless

  • WOW!! That is SOOO cool!! I am actually practicing for a piano quartet that my teacher is doing instead of a recital!! She has a TON of students so if she did one whole recital it would be wayy to loong!!

  • This is amazing where can I get a copy of it to put on CD

  • wow there's no piano hood thing! this is really good!

  • Holy crap. Wow!

  • who made this video and and others???

  • Great Job Braedon and eveyone else :)
