The Sheik was crazier than Sabu back in his hay day! Check out the match in Canada when he faced Andre the Giant in I believe 1974. The man was by far the only man who could get you from any angle, rule breaking, or not. Sabu is a close resemblance to his uncle and also learned from the best in the business when it came to breaking every rule in the book;) The Iron Sheik is a completely different man who went by his real name at the start of his career, and an incredible shoot wrestler.
Plug for a local radio station at 2:01. Check out the bad wig on the lady security guard. There's better acting in porno than in this flick. Take the wrestling out of it, and the movie is totally unwatchable. Far worse than "Plan 9 from Outer Space", "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians", "Glen or Glenda", "A*P*E*" (aka "Attack of the Giant Horny Gorilla"), "Gork" . . . Hell, this movie even makes "The Wrestler" starring Ed Asner and Verne Gagne look good!
I remember this movie. Even though Andre was in it, it was about the Original Sheik. Not the Iron Geek, but the one from the 60's and 70's. He was the King of Hardcore Wrestling. Sabu, of ECW fame, is his nephew and and was trained by him.
I remember seeing this video in the store next to the WWF Coliseum tapes when I was a kid, but my mom wouldn't let me rent it. If I recall from back in '87 or so, the cover showed Dusty Rhodes dropping an elbow or knee or something along those lines. Thanks for posting this.
Good lord does someone have the soundtrack to this? This has some of the worst songs in the history of film! I would love to blast this up loud and piss off my next door neighbors with it!
@ralphusrjones I know this is in response to a year old comment, but here's some info: The Dr. Demento show used to play the theme song to this movie occasionally, so if there's anyone on the planet who has it, it would be him. Or you could look on eBay for it. If there's an actual soundtrack album, you may find it there.
A great wrestling movie about the Detroit scene. STS was Stop the Sheik. Detroit was Ed Farhat's territory (he was the Sheik). Lord Layton is your ring announcer. A great time to grow up in the area.
that`s the André when he was healthy and became the true legend (not the crippled farce he later was) I love the man and am happy and thankful we see him here the awesome way he was in his prime

Greatest movie to ever come out of Detroit.
