this is great news. swervedriver, you know you were loved in boston. don't screw around, come play.... awesome hearing afterglow too, had this back in the day. great song.
Yeah, Saturday night was fu*king great! So cool to see so many local Swervedriver fans in L.A....Who knew where they were? Last time I saw them was at the Roxy, and that barely sold out!
Man, I saw these guys at the Corner Hotel Richmond, Melbourne Australia, shit 15 years ago. It has made my day to hear that these guys are to reunite. Raise has to be one of the best albums EVER!
Still one of the best gigs I ever saw. As soon as they walked on.. Vrooom!! all the talkers were blown to the back of the room. I got given the set list which I still have & my friend interviewed them for a local newspaper.
Ok, so we all agree that Swervedriver rocks live, and we are all happy to hear about the new tour. :D Seen 'em a few times, and I've never been less than amazed.
This is just the best news. I have worn out all my records and really want to see them again. Saw them back on the Raise tour and they were awesome. Such great songs, records, guitar sounds, singer, etc.
I have been hoping this would happen for a long time!
Saw Swervedriver in amsterdam with my friend about 92' - we both loved it, rave down was both our favourite, my friend died in a tragic car accident - i hope he was listening to these because he loved them, peace daryl, i will never forget you, esp when i hear the swervies
I saw Swervedriver open for the Smashing Pumpkins in '94(?) in Norfolk, VA. They were the show and blew SP off the stage! Hung out with a couple of the guys beforehand and they kept complaining about watery American beer. I asked them if they'd ever had St. Ides. They liked it very much after that. Great guys. Amazing band. Forever to be high on my list.
I saw that show, as well. I'm thinking it was '93 and it was amazing. I saw them headline on the second leg of that tour at the old 930 in DC. I had a nice chat with Adam and I got to tell him what the music meant to me. The music still sounds as good to me today as I'm turning 40 as it did when I was 24.
By far the best band that ever was playing on of the best songs ever written. saw em in Perth on their ejector seat reservation tour about a decade ago and still the up there as one of the best gigs i ever seen.
Thanks for posting - nicely done. I have many of these same discs - wish I had the creation vinyl though. Just saw Adam at the Doug Fir in Portland a couple of weeks ago - still blows us away after all these years. Thanks again.
This sounds like a faster-paced version "Scrawl and Scream"

Yep - it's true....Swervedriver opened
for Hum at one point. Swervedriver's
set DESTROYED Hum's set. Hum sounded flat
when compared.
