ok I think I might be the only guy to comment on this. My wife is deployed and she does not trust me to do our daughters hair. I have done it in the past but the braids tend to look like antennas. She wants me to take her to a salon to get it done. But, there has to be a better less expensive way to do my daughters hair. her hair is thick. is there a way to do it without chemicals???

Hi, my daughter is mixed and her hair is just like that as well, shes 12 now and has a lot more of it, lol. We use this shampoo by silk elements called mixed silk, and a hydrating mask for a conditioner and when she comes out of the shower there is hardly any tangle effect. They are both very awesome products we got at sally's. My question is though, whats the difference in castor oil and olive oil and which one is better? We use the silk elements mega silk olive glossing polish.

@MzPrettyAP Sorry it took me so long to reply. You don't have to cut it all at once. You can trim like 1/8 of and inch ever 4 t0 6 week. You may not see alot of growth for a couple of months but you can even it out without the split ends. That way you won't have to cut it short. Good luck with your baby's hair :)
