  • These guys need to self educate

  • Hezbola? The US has been trading guns for drugs. This guy needs to read a book

  • @freeandclearmind That's a lot better than cirrhosis, heart disease, delirium tremens, and alcohol addiction. Anybody over 21 can buy alcohol, in plain sight at the local grocery store. But not everybody is an alcoholic, and if we legalize marijuana, not everyone will be a stoner. I want it legalized so we stop wasting money we don't have arresting people who aren't dangerous. Let's elect Ron Paul and end this ridiculous legal distinction between alcohol & marijuana.

  • If you dare Google and read "a public bus driver, a dead passenger and marijuana"

  • @freeandclearmind Therefore it should be illegal? hah

  • @freeandclearmind i hope your for legalization.

  • thats just sad...people shouldnt ruin thier bodies by smoking crack completely illegalize crack in the whole world weed is gods drug like i said in another vid and if he made it then it should be used get off our backs about weed it makes everything better so legalize for at least ages 14 and up but they should watch for crack that shit is terrible.

  • How do you turn people in to tea-partiers? Take away their right to smoke whatever they want!

    Ron Paul 2012!

  • Even though I would never smoke weed, I still think it should be legal. It's cheap and easy to grow, and with us being $14 billion in debt, I think it would be a way to earn some money to pay off our debt. I still think that cocaine and whatnot should be illegal because it's super-addictive and and kill someone, but pot doesn't really look all that bad compared to all the legal things we have, like cigarettes and alcohol.

  • @kakashiisawesome1222 that's $14 trillion bra, a much bigger number :o

  • legal or not im still smokin

  • WEED IS NOT A FUCKING DRUG IT IS NOT MAN MADE...GOD MADE IT FOR US IN THE BIBLE IT SAID VERY CLEARLY THAT WE CAN HAVE ANY THAING THAT GROWS IN THE GROUND!

  • Prohibition is like telling gangsters not the say bad words.

  • Fuck you government ill smoke weed whenever the fuck I want

  • For liberty !

    youtube.com/watch?v=BIcIkoOwp7s&feature=relmfu

  • Or control the supply. Its called farming!

If we took all non-violent criminals out of federal prisons and set them up as pot farming co-ops, decriminalize the use of marijuana completely, and tax the piss out of it and expot it we would be able to turn our budget woes around in under a decade.

  • @grecorivera - It would probably fix our financial crisis faster than that......

  • Or control the supply. Its called farming!

  • the war on drugs is like having a war on self-harm, completely ridiculous and unsustainable. if people wanna hurt themselves, they're gonna do it. arresting someone with troubles and criminalizing them is fucking crazy. pull your head out of your ass governments of the world and do something for the people for once, it's been so long since the government worked towards our own interests which is was the point of government since its inception

  • HAHAHAHA! DONT SAVE MONEY OBAMA! DO NOT LEGALIZE MARIJUANA! MWAHAHAHAHA >:D

  • This war on drugs has not been beneficial to us AT ALL its just caused soo many problems. Our government loves facts and statistics so how is it hard for them to realize we need to make a change with this war on drugs? when it comes to legalizing marijuana so many political leaders just have closed minds and wanna play it safe. We need a leader to take a drastic measure to better our country and its people. I'm voting for Ron Paul 2012 when i turn 18

  • No Way it'll be legalized because Americas prison population is a slave labor force for the military industrial complex and other corporations that have the govt in there pocket prison labor is so popular now that jobs are moving from CHINA to PRISONS

  • COLOMBIA was bombed to pieces../// what a lying twat., looks to me like he's panicking.

government are LOSING GROUND on this heinous DRUG WAR... they will try to compromise & not lose face.. there is only one policy .. repeal PROHIBITION completely.. FREE HUMAN RIGHTS... it is your god given free right to do what you want with your life your body .. PRISONS are NEW SLAVE TRADES...

  • @WeAskThePeople

That is totally beside the point. It's not slave labor if they are forced to work for God's sake. How could you compare slave labor to making prisoners do something productive?? Prisoners choose to go to jail. Slaves have no choice.

  • LEGALISATION MEANS putting people in HOSPITAL not JAILS..

LEGALISATION MEANS health care for sick addicts

    LEGALISATION MEANS no violent crimes

LEGALISATION MEANS stop POLICE confiscation of property

LEGALISATION MEANS spending DRUG MONEY on EDUCATION

LEGALISATION MEANS free choice for HUMANS

I don't think I'd do hard drugs ..if the ILLEGALITY was repealed

I have enough knowledge to KNOW. that they aren't good for ME.. including PRESCRIPTION DRUGS> ALCHOHOL> TOBACCO> 3 big KILLERS

    not Cannabis

  • I hope they do legalize it I've been smoking weed everyday for 40 years

  • @AceVeto that's some boss shit.

  • dont make cocaine leagal that shit is terrible...but weed cmon theres nothing wrong with the stuff. (used to smoke but not anymore so not addictive either)

  • no legalizing it WILL save a ton of money. He just said they used 1 trillion dollars on trying to make it illegal. What the fuck?! legalize it Oboma! SAVE FUCKINJG MONEY! Ron Paul 2012. He will be the best president. He listens to the people. He isnt a smart ass and thinks he knows everything oboma. Sometimes you have to listen to the people and take action.

    Ron Paul 2012

  • and by the way im a hard working american that pays my taxes and lives by example, i am built on principles without religion. Principles in witch take all life in to concideration and no bias against any. We are a human race and we need to live together in peace, with balance among ourselfs and in tune with our planet. In a nut shell, Principle tells me that if i want to smoke a fucking joint i will, and fuck you if you look down on me for it. Better take a look at yourself.

  • wow this is very valid with Gary Johnson points. Sounds like he knows the real issues

  • US government, has all ways been a drug dealer and a pimp to us all ... what the change here I don't see it . Its just one more thing .WE AREN'T FREE! SO STOP SAYING WE ARE FREE IN THE GOOD OLD USA CUZ WERE NOT !!!!!!!!! STOP THE LIE HERE !!!!!

  • just legalize and be done my gosh how a green plant that God in his wisdom created can cause so much bs is another example of the drunks that run our political climate in Portugal they legalized everything. working just fine! its all a social issue there is no reason to regulate they just want the income when we quit thinking of it like a drug you will finally have the correct thinking!

  • Prohibition is unconstitutional. Prohibition is not freedom. Doesnt America pride itself on being a free nation, free people? Isnt this why our government intervenes in other countries affairs? To give their people freedom. WE ARENT EVEN FREE!

  • Prohibiting marijuana because people act stupid is like prohibiting free will for acting stupid. If I want to staple my nuts to my dinner table, let me. If I want to smoke weed, let me. As long as neither activity hurts anyone else but me (which I choose to do to myself) I should be able to do it.

  • @Quickkilltheclown Im not trying to insult you, but why do you think that the government would have to prohibit alcohol or tobacco to combat this "situation"? Also there are plenty of people who use tobacco and alcohol and wander around doing moronic things? There are people who dont use drugs yet they do moronic things.

  • Non violent marijuana user thrown in prison for smoking. Had good job, no prior criminal record and was a positive member of society.

Same guy leaves prison, Is now a violent member of a prison gang, now uses every drug under the sun, cannot get a job anywhere, with the exception of 19 hours a week at minimum wage. So he now invests in more criminal activities to make ends meet. Now he is a negative member of society.

Anyone else see the connection here? Prisons fail. Legalization saves lives.

  • ...if the whitehouse and state congresses were flooded with calls and emails about it... minds would change... period

  • Even if they dont legalize it=problem gets worse, because when there is a demand there will be a supply and we all know the so called drug war were spending billions on is failing...thx,Josh

  • I wanna know how the hell theyre supposed to tell how many of us are smoking and doin other drugs. Honestly the gotta be watching us closer than we think. AHHH!!! lol

  • Prisons are privatized now...They need drug users to keep them full and making cash..Huge sick scam! How did privatized prisons ever come to be..sick sick sick!EVIL!

  • Help win the war smoke more cannabis.

  • the reason why Obama won't even think about legalizing Marijuana is because the criminal elements within the US government or should I call them mafia, these crooks are making big money by not legalizing marijuana. Obama is just as criminal as the other guys, I bet his monkey ass gets a piece of the pie as well.

  • Anyone who thinks weed needs to be illegal is dealing with half a deck. There are not two sides to this argument. If you disagree, your a fucking idiot.

  • one more day of probation makes me want to shoot up

  • The economy needs weed the people need weed

  • Cmon US government, stop making an ass out of our yourselves and giving the world good reasons to laugh at your childish behavior. A person smoking a little weed in their spare time and not hurting anyone, in what is suppose to be a free country, is NOT the enemy in a war on drugs. How fucking hard is that to understand? Maijuana NEVER killed anyone. Yet legal alcohol kills 2 people every minute, or 2.5 million people a year. Wake the fuck up. Its embarrassing.

  • 6:15 lol.... Legalise, regulate tax.. gax goes into helping addicts, supporting the economy and ensures people who have done absolutely nothing wont go to jail.

I mean come on, i thought humans would be past this bullshit.. i dont want to wait another 20 years to have a joint.

  • Cocaine is a schedule II drug, weed is worse for you!

  • Just legalize weed already the world would be a better place

  • Lighter of Dewbies is absolutely right. It should be about individual liberty and not economics. But it never is, so let's look at the economics. The world is going broke! Over this failed prohibition ... entire economies (who cares about people) collapsing! (Now that might get their attention!) freemarc.ca Canadian bookseller ... 5 years for seed-selling ... now has contracted MRSA from a filthy U.S. prison. Was that part of his sentence? Here's a window into a victim of the W.O.D.
  • its funny how if the government would of legalized it in the first place they would of saved a shit ton of money from fighting it and would of made a REALLY big profit off of it. and plus all the other products you are able to make with cannibus would of made tons of money. it just shows how stupid they are because its not like anyone's going to actually stop consuming it.

  • WTF? How did they make that chart? Did they ask dealers how much they've sold?!

  • @felixplan they probably made it based on convictions

  • I want to mention that I love Marijuana, a very wonderful and great herb which has been helpful to me in a number of ways. I cannot however condone the use of dangerous drugs. The drug war may be losing it's grasp and importantly, this must be acknowledged. I say legalize Marijuana and impose some limitations however keep dangerous drugs such as Cocaine, Heroin etc. ILLEGAL because they can ruin you and I. I think our country could use an education on these drugs. I support a healthy life.

  • Yea the Global Elites Control all of your Little Slave Minds don't they and you Love it. Cowards argue that Oh no alcohol and cigarettes are worse and there Legal. Cowardly arguement. Marijuana should be Legal because its a Constitutional right. If you want it to remain illegal you should be in Prision or Executed.. That Simple!

  • how many people die a year with alcohal related deaths??.........and how many people die a year related to marijuana deaths a year? this is 1 small detail of this matter wake up america!

  • @chuckyoungbloods

Why numb with alcohol when you can solve apathy, loneliness or just basically reality by expanding your soul with the herb?

    I comment in peace.

  • @chuckyoungbloods Alcohol also makes kids smash their heads off toilets, hit their girlfriends, get in fights, stomachs pumped and drinking and driving... its DEFINATLEY something we need..... you dumb ass.

  • Legalize marijuana, keep everything else illegal

  • how can alcohol be legal when more people die from alcohol related shit than marijuana, no one dies from marijuana.. Bullshit!

  • @DevinShelteredOne and cigarettes

  • Comment removed

  • @guitarist445 he was being sarcastic u moron

  • people talk about addiction. its not different than alcohol and ESPECIALLY cigarettes which are both legal. Hell you can get addicted to just about anything in this world if you let yourself...its called moderation and self control, not everyone has the attitude and self control of a 6 year old child. if you are anti marijuana because of 'addictive properties' and you just have to get your daily caffeine fix, drink beer or smoke cigarettes then you are the definition of a hypocrite.

  • Hey, here's a thought, waging war on ones own country, and citizens, is called treason. Treason is considered a crime in some advanced civilizations. Punishable by death. Maybe someday we can be advanced too.

  • with the new bill introduced today to end marijuana prohibition, VOTE TO LEGALIZE IT NO MATTER WHAT STATE YOU LIVE IN! PLEASE VOTE TO LEGALIZE IN OHIO!

  • For some reason people just don't understand this. Is America really that stupid? The war on drugs has really made it worse.

  • New FEDERAL bill has been introduced that if passed, will legalize marijuana FEDERALLY! First bill ever, look up "Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2011". Tell your friends about this, spread the word, and SUPPORT THIS BILL!

  • Marijuana is addictive...one of the most addictive drugs

  • @mytoprecords You sir, are what any enlightened intelligent person would refer to as a "Idiot"

Marijuana addictive? please Coffee is more addictive & more harmful.

  • @mytoprecords You can get addicted to the feeling but there is no actual chemical addiction. You will never have a withdrawal from quitting cold turkey. Please know your facts before posting on youtube please cause it pisses people off and they will call you names lol.

  • @mytoprecords go back under your rock.

  • Obama is sending the National guard out to search for plants and tear them out of the ground all day in expensive helicopters. He promised he would stop doing that and he is a fraud. At least Bush looked me in the eyes when he fucked me.

  • We need Ron Paul. This insanity has gone on for way too long. As the debate continues, lives are being lost. Wake Up everybody!!! Legalize cannabis now.

  • Legalise Euphoria!! Why is it illegal to be Happy? I'm Voting Ron Paul 2012!

  • 11:50 i love how he almost says black community

  • Legalize it! RON PAUL 2012

  • stoner b jungleworker

  • if US changes its ways, the rest of the world WILL follow. come on obummer . .. do ur fuckign duty

  • fuck it tax it like hell we neeed the freedom im going crazy cuz ifeel like my generation is never gonna contribute to anything progressive

just please no texas style taxes, ciggerettes are so expensive in texas

  • narcoterrorists? that guys is fucking delusional "narcoterrorists" are probably 16 year old kids trying to help support their families.

  • I do not believe the repeated claim of the drug-and-pot-choice activist heroes that "the drug war INCREASED/INCREASES drug use", but I don't have to agree with that to know that it is still WRONG to imprison those people who consume drugs and pot responsibly.

  • If the CIA did not make so much money selling drugs in the US, drugs would be legal. YouTube "Barry Seal, Chip Tatum, CIA Drugs, Iran/Contra, and Gary Webb" if you didn't know! There is a reason we invaded Afghanistan...DRUGS!!!

  • Great that this report came out, but I'm tired of hearing people supporting legalization of drugs because it will help the economy. Legalization is foremost an issue of liberty - we should legalize drugs because we want to be free, not because we need some excuse for it like "it will help the economy" or add to our budget. We don't have freedom of speech because it helps bring revenue to the state, we have it because we want to be free to say what we like. The same should go for drugs.

  • @LighterOfDewbies It's undoing 70 years of damage bro. We have to pull out every single good card we can until they eventually, say ok you are right, which after 70 years is going to be hard. Remember we are ruled by war enthusiasts, they have huge egos. It's like waiting for the second coming of Jesus you know?

  • @Revolution2pointO I understand that we need to point out every positive to convince the nay-sayers to support the cause...but that's exactly what I'm detesting here. I hate the fact that people place such little value on liberty that you have to convince them that "it will help the economy" to get them to support it. Especially in America where freedom is such a vital part of our political culture. As for the second coming of Christ...that sounds a little extreme lol

  • @LighterOfDewbies maybe it a little extreme, but after my experience with cannabis and mushrooms, i can't go back to being "normal" i can't listen to their lies anymore. what people don't know is the hardcore drug users, in ancient tribes, were the wise men, and the shaman, they were the leaders. I want love for everyone, and to accept what each individual does as their identity, not their problems. thats all i want, yet someone will throw me in prison for the very things which gave such an idea

  • @LighterOfDewbies What you said. Repeat a billion times all over the internet and the halls of congress.

  • @LighterOfDewbies

Hey, i agree with you 100% man. But, i think what a lot of people are talking about with the whole "it will help the economy" thing.... Is because once Hemp is legal, look at everything we can make from the Hemp plant: Fuel, Paper, Wood, Medicine, Fibers for ropes, clothing, canvas, Building Materials stronger than concrete and steele, that we can build houses and car bodies out of, Food and Nutrition, and so much more. By this plant alone, we could put more ppl to work!

  • @Sabnock1990 Of course, I recognize that all these other arguments hold water. I think hemp could bring a great number of benefits to the world. I also think we need to use these arguments in order to appeal to the conservative crowd. But what I'm detesting is the mere fact that we HAVE to use these arguments to convince certain people, because the liberty argument alone won't suffice. It shows the lack of value we hold towards liberty in today's society.

  • @LighterOfDewbies I feel the same way as you do, this is a wonderful excuse to make Marijuana legal or decriminalized but it also sounds like a scheme or a lie and many people like you and I see right thru that. The only opposing viewpoint I want to make is the word "DRUGS", "LEGALIZING DRUGS" Implies the use or legalization of other drugs such as Cocaine, Heroin etc. These are dangerous in my opinion and belong in the hands of medical professionals. I love my POT!

  • @TenderAce Well, if we want to legalize pot for the liberty aspect (which in my opinion is the only reason we should have to give to have it legalized) then this same principle should apply as well to other drugs such as heroin and cocaine. Don't get me wrong, I will never use these drugs, but I think other people should be allowed to use them if they want, just as I hope others will support my right to possess marijuana whether or not they smoke themselves.

  • @LighterOfDewbies Thank you for replying, I have have great disdain for other dugs since I have seen their dangers as in the loss of mentors and friends that have used them back in the day. I have no use for them and I have no wish in any way to advocate them only that Dr's administer them for patient's in pain etc. I am stating clearly that DRUGS OTHER THAN MARIJUANA ENDANGER AMERICA AND HUMANITY. Many have ills that will perhaps never see the light of day because of them. Cherish your health.

  • @TenderAce And I do cherish my health, and I warn against using hard drugs...but my view is that throwing people in jail for using heroin or cocaine for instance, does nothing to help their addiction and worsens it. Also, I make sure to support one's right to use ANY drug they please, and not just the ones I want to use, because this is the same mentality behind Prohibitionists who smoke alcohol and drink tobacco, but think pot should be prohibited, simply because they personally don't partake.

  • @LighterOfDewbies I don't condone damage to humans. I've seen beauty turn to shreds, intelligent and strong men turn to seed. I realize not any of us can truly stop someone from killing themselves however there are a few worth saving. I have also been in bands where I have seen problems with harder drugs. Members don't show up etc. It usually ends up in a waste. I can't count on those people. Marijuana hasn't done any damage to me as I know so far. It has also helped me with mild depression.

  • @TenderAce Lol, damage is a completely relative term. There are some negative health effects to Marijuana. The point is to let the person decide whether or not it's worth taking these risks. Personally I choose to smoke it anyway (these effects are minor). The point is not to let your personal experiences with a drug close your mind to considering other perceptions of it.

  • @TenderAce Marijuana may have done wonders for you (it has done wonders for me) but everyone has a different experience with it. Only focusing on your personal experiences with it is what fuels Prohibitionist groups and concerned mothers..."My teenage son smoked pot and committed suicide...so I want noone to have it!". We can't isolate our perception of drugs to our own experiences with them, or we end up being like the Prohibitionists. And like I said, throwing people in jail saves no one.

  • @LighterOfDewbies Hi again, I also feel it is mentionable to explain that while others who would have the availability of dangerous drugs legally while you & I would have our Marijuana challenges our responsibility of the issue further. I think we have made it clear that Marijuana is safer even than alcohol however the other drugs can cause addiction which then leads many to crime because they simply cannot afford to keep their habit. I say loosen up on marijuana laws & keep the bad drugs away.

  • @TenderAce True, hard drugs are very addictive. However, marijuana DOES have a potential for addiction as well, although only a mild, psychological one. Still, if prohibition doesn't work for one drug then it doesn't work for any drug. I think we need to be consistent with arguments like these or the Prohibitionists will detect our hypocrisy and our movement will gain less respect. But to each his own, you have your views and I have mine.

  • @LighterOfDewbies Yes, thank you, your point and mine, we both have them.

  • @TenderAce Yes, we do.

  • @LighterOfDewbies amen broo amen

  • @LighterOfDewbies we dont have freedom of speech .

  • @kingdibbs Well we want to

  • @LighterOfDewbies THATS RIGHT... BUT I DONT THINK WERE GOING TO GET IT UNLESS WE FIGHT FOR IT

  • Yes keep pushing rationality

  • If everyone smoked cannabis and read more books the entire system would crumble, and that's why we have drug prohibition and round the clock TV for all the family.

It's simple, stop people from exploring their own minds and from reading about the minds of others and you have the perfect recipe for human sheep.

And if all else fails tie them to crippling debts that they'll never be able to pay back and keep them addicted to "good drugs" like alcohol and tobacco. WIN!

  • Hmmmm?

Marijuana Legalized Possibility...Let me know if you agree.

    Marijuana /\ 90%

    Cocaine \/ 26%

    Opiates \/ 30%

  • how are they reducing the poppy when they are protecting the poppy fields in Afghanistan? is the united states just trying to get the monopoly on the worlds drugs before they legalize?

  • people are turning to drugs because of the way the world is today, after losing your jobs, and your homes, and maybe your children to the Gestapo called the department of human services, hopelessness becomes rampant, want to lower those numbers? how about we try to do something to boost moral, I could be wrong, but it sounds good.

  • almost to a tipping point, so close I can feel it, federal government won't even agree to it, they will be forced by foreign countries, and the state governments

  • Obama hates you

  • FUCK shafer.

The war on terror is as FAKE as the war on drugs. The central bankers intelligence arms (CIA, MI6, Mossad) are the REAL terrorists and drug runners.

    WAKE UP!

    ANSWER

    1. FREELY Share ALL resources & knowledge worldwide, NO more money/property

    2. Use LATEST technology to create an ABUNDANCE of all our needs, NO more waste/theft

    3. Automate/localize ALL production and distribution, NO more wage slavery/central control

    WATCH ZEITGEIST 3

    v=4Z9WVZddH9w

  • We need a war on jobs.......Our unemployment would drop to 2%.lmao

  • How can you get statistics on drug use?

  • omg logic and reason..

  • The American government is making too much money to allow drugs to become legal. Many people are becoming aware of the corruption that keeps the prisons full.

Obama doesn't care how many people die. He only cares about votes.

  • "Plan Colombia has been very useful to Colombia"

  • The world wants Obama to do something about the drug war yet Obama is to selfish to do anything about it. He feels as if he were to decriminilize any drug it would mar his reputation as president and since he wants a second term he is afraid he takes one wrong step the second term will be nothing but a dream. Maybe Obama will do something the last month's of his second term if he gets one. I know if i could vote it wouldn't be for Obama. Obama do something b/c what you are doing is not working.

  • @kiararei Thing is, there's nothing stopping people from getting those hard drugs now. Furthermore, there's nothing stopping our kids from getting hold of them. At least if they're legal we can control the dosage and ingredients so we don't have addicts dropping dead all over and we can restrict the ability of children to get their hands on the stuff, not to mention taking a huge chunk out of gang profits. Nobody's saying hard drugs are good, but legalization is the better of two evils.

  • Someone explain to me how this all relates to us guarding huge drug crops in the middle east... cui bono

  • it may seem hypocritical but i have no problem with them legalising pot but i would not like to see harder drugs legalised. pot smokers are passive, people on harder drugs can become violent

  • @kiararei you know what drug makes people more violent than all others combined? alcohol.

and you know what really makes a hard drug user violent anyway? them not being able to get their drugs.

a change in policy really makes a lot of sense.

  • Start with the de-criminalizing. Reduced the sentence or allow those off with warnings for minor drug possessions. Set up a system to help those who are struggling with addiction rather than imprisoning them. The over time when results become favorable (which they will), start bringing up the topic of legalization of MJ. I will admit it is hard to sell right off the bat the idea of legalizing MJ, even though its the right thing to do. But taking steps like this should be a priority.

  • Obama is too busy smokin' a pipe (keepin' it on the down low) to be concerned about Kenya, or America, or anything at all.

  • its ok to smoke marijuana

  • RIP Jose Guerena a victim of the war on drugs.

  • the war on drugs is part of the reason i support copkillers

  • It's time to end the war on drugs! What good has it done? I say, no good at all.

  • how do u reduce the demand u dick? r u gonna make everyone happy? y dont u reduce the demand of alcohol? thats way more damaging.

  • anthony schaffer is not right on this one...he said 45% reduction in oppium production in last 5 yrs out of afghanistan but i saw geraldo on fox news and the marines are there guarding the stuff making sure it grows. and the #1 drug dealer in afghan, is on the CIA payroll!! wake up anthony

  • Does this mean no more drug test?

  • u can't tax a WEED

  • Why is the solution so clear and simple, and everyone who has any intelligence is against prohibition, yet there it is, stronger than ever ?

  • war on drugs = major fail

  • legalize legalize legalize for 18 yrs and up!

  • If it was really about "helping" people, none of it would be a criminal offense (except maybe selling to kids). It's big business, especially the privatized prisons filled w/nonviolent drug offenders.

I'll take a nonviolent drug abuser of ANY kind over any one of the shysters & business criminals on Wall St. Unfortunately, we already know who shyster 'Bama prefers.

Having possession of pot be a criminal offense is like criminalizing aspirin. But shysters don't care about docs' opinions.

  • Why does everyone seem to understand this issue EXCEPT for the US government? Why are they the only people in the world who don't fucking get it?

Legalize it. It is the only way.

  • @EscpdFrmPsykward The worst thing is, many countries would end their own war on drugs and legalise, but the US wont let them.

We control the politics of so many countries including canada.

    Its sick/sad.

  • @waltermh111 Sad but true.

  • The two guests confuse the issue.

If the drug cartels no longer have a drug black market with inflated prices, because companies or the public can now produce and sell it for cheap if they want, then they lose that funding, and the drug cartels would have to make their money in other things, like weapons.

One of the ideas is that it would be a blow to the cartels' funding.

Some theorize that the cartels are owned by people who also manipulate multiple official/federal national organizations.

  • @dimeuno sounds like your confusing the issue.

In fact, your confusing in general. Your last line is off topic. Obviously people with money manipulate multiple organisations, just as in US.

To your second line, yes, that is an argument thats made, and?

3rd, to your main argument. While they may move to other means of making money, if they arent already doing weapons its because drugs is more profitable. So it would be a blow either way.

  • @waltermh111 Perhaps I was a little unclear.

There is reason to believe that the same people funding the cartels/gangs/mafia, also fund the 'war' against their black market involving drugs. They have an interest in such conflicts and black markets existing, as it earns them higher profits through their self-induced inflation. The second last line was gently hinting that they don't want to lose funding, so these two push to continue some form of conflict against them, drugs being the rational.

  • @waltermh111 I tried to focus only on the points shared that need to be known (points that bear repeating), rather than what these two seemed to want the public to focus on, which seem to be manipulative measures to keep us in conflict with gangs, involving substances that we should no longer be going after them for, if they are legal.

Maybe I heard wrong earlier, do they still want to go after the cartels for them selling drugs, or maybe being associated with drugs, even after they are legal?

  • @dimeuno Even moreso, the weapons trade wouldnt have as much of an impact on the US where weapons are easy to buy. Some banks even give free guns, lol

You can buy tank killers even.

But the war on drugs means we cant make drugs, so who else to get them from?

  • Europe doing something better than the US? That would never happen. *smirk*

  • Let's legalize pot and tax the heck outta it!

-Yeah, that will make everybody happy... ;(

How bout we legalize it AND keep Uncle Sam's greedy digits outta it!!! -

  • @ZYCERIN What you said. Repeat a billion times over the internet!

Stop the bullshit medical marijuana arguments. Stop the "war on drugs does not reduce drug use" argument.

    And stop the economic arguments.

This is an issue of freedom of CHOICE to do what you want without hurting someone else. Period.
