I lost my beloved late grandma on 19/11/2011,when I saw this video clip I recall everything & naturally my tears came down.Its sad that a child had passed away,I can understand how his or her parents feel.

my grandma died on 22th june 2011 2:05 and today is her last day for the funeral and we had to follow her for the last trip and during the cremation i feel goosebumps but neither i cry nor feel heart-brokend can you tell me? but when we were following the lorry to walk for about 500m i cried at the end and does not feel anything. I'm buddist by the way

this is sad, I know what its like I lost my mom last march 8th 2009 520 P M, but she was buried in the best we could get for her, and I served the mass comming up on a year now its hard and she was only 57 still had a few years ahead of her.

Still though its sad when somone soo young looses to cancer, then having to see the coffin slowly make its way to the oven, still why did you dump her into the water instead of putting her under a tree or in a more permanant place so you could visit her?

Well, to us, it doesn't really matter how our bodies r handled after death because our flesh will return to dust after death whereas our souls will b brought to a waiting place to pend for judgement on Christ's 2nd coming. A funeral is done to comfort the LIVING, not the dead. The dead has departed n has nothing to do with this world anymore...

Even so they might be just elements of matter but its Gods creation the catholics like me frown upon just throwing someone to the wind so to speak, we like to treat Gods creation, that which is his own image the human form.

That is why our teachings are to entomb the person in a marked spot of some kind even if the person is going to be poured out of the urn and into a hole in the ground, point is for us its frowned to keep somone on the shelf or just throw them on the ground for us.

Pls read Deuteronomy 34:6 - God buried Moses in a place tt nobody knws.. If your theory is is right, then he should be buried near the Israelites. God's intention to bury Moses away from the Israelites was to prevent them from turning Moses into an object of worship or "respect" like most Catholics say.. Because in the 10 commandments, its wrong to worship idols.

I realize that you are not catholic, and that is fine i am just saying you treat gods creation with respect. Hence the reason we put the dead in marked locations like the saints no they are not worshiped that is due God alone, but we wish to see them to reminde us of what a follower of God should be like in the example of Jesus.

I guess you would not understand if you are not from our school of thought. Knowing were we can visit the dead remindes us they are close even in heaven.

Please also read John 6:63 -- "The Spirit gives life, the flesh counts for NOTHING" of course we should honor God's creations. But it is not advisable if you honor His creations Mor. Than u honor Him. What is our flesh worth? Its nothing but DUST, it is God who gave us the breath of life.

If you are still unconvinced, pls read Numbers 21:8 -- God ordered Moses to make a bronze snake so tt the Israelites might b cured of snake bites by looking at it. However if you read 2Kings18:4, the bronze snake was utterly destroyed because it had became an object of worship. God abomished His ppl to worship other objects besides Him. So therefore let us not create more chances for us to sin (you miggt start to treat the dead as alive due to prolonged longing for them)

Matthew 8:22 -Jesus said: "Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead" burial is done only for the purpose of the living. If the corpses ain't handled properly, a plaque might break out and more ppl might just die.. Our body is made of flesh that is perishable. After all, our bodies are just mere containers of our souls. Matthew8:22 "do nt b afraid of those who kill e body but cannot kill e soul.Rather b afraid of the One who can destroy BOTH soul&body"

My family and I have also suffered a loss and decided upon cremation, which I had a hard time accepting at the time but now I know it was just the body being cremated, the soul that had made the person that I had known has gone on to a better life :) Though I wish we had closure such as this. Thank you for sharing this touching moment. My prayers to the Yap family and may Elena's family continue to have faith knowing that she is playing with the angels.

we were all v sad when we saw elena's coffin being transported away.. then at the juncture, elena's dad started to play the hymn--'there's a God' on his handphone and sang-along with the tune (i tink u guys could've heard it on the video).. i tink our tear almost rolled down uncontrollably at that time.. it was v touching to see her dad--a man do that kinda gentle stuff~
