  • Good post. Exactly where was this particular train headed to in SC? The closest power plant to me is the Lake Murray Dam near Irmo.

  • Thanks. According to the Bull Sheet (an excellent CSX resource) it goes to Cross South Carolina which is on Lake Moultrie.

  • Probably the Santee-Cooper Power Plant.

  • Nice Video. One thing I noticed is that the crossing gates are on backwards. The red and white stripes should be slanted toward the crossing lights. I guess there's something psycological (or however you spell it) that makes you more vunerable to go around the gates if the gates are slated the way they are. Sorry about the spelling!!!

  • The bell keeps ringing on this crossing, good! Ever notice how on some crossings the bell stops ringing once the gates come down and on others it keeps ringing until the train passes? I prefer it if the bell keeps ringing... Just a random comment :) Nice video btw.

  • This is the only one I know of in this area that keeps ringing. Usually on some of the longer slower trains this gets annoying but in general I agree they should all do this.
