  • Where can I find the actual splitting in half video?

  • Wait do u just leave your models at the bottom

  • 1 thing tho why the fire? ther was no fire wen she sank ??

  • @imaghostbuster36 The fire burnt through the ship to make it split. In this sinking, not the real-life one.

  • Did you build that or did you buy it?

  • nice video

  • Do you have any tips on how to paint the model perfectly?:)

  • @spotdathief Not many! This model is far from perfect; it's just that we're not shooting at high resolution in most of these shots, so the imperfections don't show as readily. :) But if we had one tip: patience.

  • @Rapidnadion did you spry paint your model?

  • how'd you make it steam

  • @SQuo4life Pyro charge created the flames and smoke; see the "how it's made" video on our channel for more.

  • How do you recover the splitted ones?

  • @legoman8271 There are fishing lines tied to each hull section. See our "Raising the (Model) Titanic" video to see us recover the intact model.

  • wheres jack and rose?

  • when you going to make new videos?

  • @jasper1999ify We're on a little break right now; we'll be back to filming soon.

  • Where did you get that model and how did you get it to split in half?

  • @Maxmellow94 Check out the how-to video we made for this model on our Channel Page.

  • you should sink this on april 15th at 2:20 a.m.

  • Where is that river! I am going to get those models out of there! I wanna have 'em!

  • @DamianReport We recover them after every sinking. :)

  • @Rapidnadion Dangit.

  • @DamianReport LOL

  • I saw fire coming from the place where it split at 0:42

  • the final step may be smockstacks breakout like someone wrote , and film it in the night with special lights ... cmon just go work with cameron

  • Cool I'm 11

  • @skydrain69

    You're 11?

    Get off.

  • 0:42 fire!

  • this is devastating for ants! you should have placed ants ... :)

  • was there really a fire????

  • nice!!!

  • awesome job!!!

  • this is really cool you did an awesome job!

  • @supergamer1122 Thank you!

  • @Rapidnadion I am a solid titanic fanatic!!! I really appreciate the hardwork you've done to make it perfect especially whe I watched your titanic breakup failures..... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!

  • @GaGamuzikfanatic

Ur a titanic fanatic 2, i've seen every movie from the 1929 half hour movie 2 the 1997 movie

  • Well done mates, maybe next you could challenge urselfs to do and experiment to make the smokstacks fall over and sink like the real ship did. i'm sure it would be a challenge but I know you could do it ;-) again well done :)!

  • @lauriemama When we're feeling up to challenging ourselves again, you'll definitely see it. :) Thanks!

  • @Rapidnadion :D

  • @Rapidnadion yes something like this breakout but for smockstacks (need little rops because fish will eat them :)

  • @Rapidnadion could you guys do a Titanic splitting video like this one, but with onboard cameras?

  • @Rapidnadion amazing video it breaks I see but why it sinks intact?

  • was that real fire

  • @arlynnjones Yes it was. See the making-of video to learn more about that system. It's very simple, though; just a model rocket engine igniter connected to the rubber band holding the ship halves together.

  • Y'all ever think of doing an experiment to see if the stern Titanic could've stayed afloat if the ship had been cleanly severed (since the bow always seem to pull the stern down)?

  • @360Nomad Yes; in fact, a clean break was the plan. It went awry because the rubber band held more readily than we anticipated, even after the pyro charge fired.

  • how do u get this back

  • @Dialga1241 We have strings tied to each hull section. See our "Raising the Model Titanic" video for footage of us recovering our intact TItanic model.

  • Nobody will ever need to see the movie 'Titanic' ever again...

  • I don't see any people & I didn't know it sank during the day.

  • @charleshdowns The ship was fully abandoned when it sank at high noon on a warm August day in 2011. You didn't know?

  • Who saw the Shoop da Whoop face at 0:48?

  • what holds the bottom together? cause in the video to make it you cut it cleanly in 2.

  • @il2sturmovikfb The ship is held together by remnants of the rubber band that remained after the pyro charge fired. This was not by design; just a non-disastrous accident.

  • @Rapidnadion well it makes it look more realistic.

  • holy crap theres fire inside

  • @msfroyo1999 The pyro charge was a little larger on this occasion, so yeah. Way-oversized flames.

  • HOW MUCH MONEY DOES IT COST TO MAKE THESE

  • @5DylanS Cost of kit and materials for this one was about $500, but it could be made for less.

  • Looks like James Cameron blew all his money on Avatar and had to make Titanic II on a budget :P

  • MUCH MORE AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • you just put a fire in it so you can make it break

  • @HappyMonkey8D Not sure if this is a question or a statement, but go ahead and watch our "[Model Titanic SPLITS] How It's Made" video if you want to see how we made this.

  • Hello, where you can buy such a model? and how much does a thing?

  • @SashaDJ82 It must be custom-built, and heavily modified. See our video titled "[Model Titanic SPLITS] How It's Made."

  • So Cool!!!! How big is this splitting model?

  • @philipfry4073 Thanks! The model is 30" long. For more on its construction, see the "Model Titanic SPLITS - How It's Made" video on our Channel page!

  • what a weird hobby, titanic sinking.

  • @GuiltyIsland No question about it.

  • Hi, just wondering are you only able to do this once and do you have some way of fixing it together again and do you have a fishing line on both the stern and the bow

  • @steamfan1998 Hello! We can sink this model many times over; there's very little permanent damage done to it. For a better idea of how this model is put together, see our "[Model Titanic SPLITS] How It's Made" video - it's on our Channel page, or in Related Videos to your right.

  • I can see that usually the sealing of the starboard end of the ship creates a better sinking effect but i think it went much faster in this video because the bow section and starboard section were still connected

  • That was epic and awesome! This miss the Titanic though :(

  • dude when it splited it has on fire

  • AWSOME no other words to describe it

  • its funny how the stern comes right back up to the main part of the ship and then it goes down

  • @universileezra the stern has air trapped in it so it gos up

  • Are you guys done making break-up videos or are you working on making a final and complete one?

  • @Steven74981 We'll make some more at some point in the future.

  • @RandomNoobable Thanks for the compliment! We're glad you like these! :) We'd love to do a nighttime sinking, but unfortunately we don't have a camera good enough for low-light capture yet. If we get one, we'll definitely do some nighttime sinkings!

  • So what was put in the model to start that fire?

  • @ThePhantomFanatic Click the blue box link at 1:28 to watch our "How It's Made" video, which goes into detail on the separation system.

  • next time, make every funnel fall off. (cause when 1st funnel was filled it fell also to the 2nd funnel. 3rd and funnel fell when titanic broke apart)

  • @rocketjo9231 This model used to have separable funnels, but they were sacrificed so we could actually get the video done. As it is, this model has two safety lines, tethers for fore and aft boat deck sections, and a tether for the fo'c'sle - there were too many strings for us to keep resetting.

  • @rocketjo9231 3rd and 4th.

  • Do you know where I can buy one of these models?

  • @MarioOnage64 Check the shopping results when you Google Minicraft Titanic. Watch our How It's Made video to see how we modified the kit.

  • FINALLLY...that is all.

  • Very epic.

But goodbye model. You're worth nothing now. Why did you have to light it on fire? D:

Well, I know why. But... WHYYYY? xD Dx

  • @mimo7772512 It may look like the model was destroyed, but we actually recover it after every sinking. The flames were quite showy, but they didn't damage the model. We designed it to survive this. See the "how it's made" video on our Channel page for more.

  • FIREEE!@!!!

  • you should put some toy peole on your model's and sink them so it's like the movie

  • I recommend this diving video from Norway - Using a Casio Exilim in a "plastic bag": Diving in Norway - Flekkerøy

  • where can I get this titanic model,I really want one?

  • @TBOGTplayer2000 The kit is easily obtainable, but requires much modification to sink (or even float) properly. These kits are really only meant for display. To get one of the kits, just Google "Academy Minicraft Titanic" and check out the shopping results, or visit your local hobby shop.

  • @Rapidnadion you should also buy a titanic wreck model and recored a rc sub diving down to it and do awreck footage man

  • @TBOGTplayer2000 We already replied to a similar comment from you on another video - it would indeed be a great idea, but we've got a lot of projects on the list! :)

  • @Rapidnadion I look on that and the model is out of stock.

  • @TBOGTplayer2000 Sorry to hear it - you can find them on eBay pretty frequently. The smaller Revell 18" model is also commonly stocked at ToysRUs, WalMart, Michaels, etc. Check your local hobby shop as well - we don't sell them, unfortunately.

  • @Rapidnadion how come theres fire wen it broke

  • @EpicxLegacy The separation system we used required flames. See the "how it's made" video on our channel page for more detail!

  • You Should Make Some Breakable Funnels

  • @ericpierre53 Falling #1 and #4 funnels were part of the original design, but had to be permanently attached when too many complications arose too close to our deadline for this video. We may give that another go in the future.

  • @ericpierre53 They were incorporated into the original design, but had to be sacrificed as one of many compromises. We may try those again in the future.

  • Awsome

  • i saw a funnel smoking :3

  • An amazing job!!!

  • @MrTitanic14 Thank you!

  • @FBfan477 We'll be making a "how it works" video soon!

  • Excellent, that looks quite realistic. ;) Only thing that this is more like Camerons film break up, not the thing that happened in real life but i still like it.

  • Awesome!!

  • THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!

  • You guys have come along way from "Put rocks in the front and make it sink!". :)

  • @YellingDingo22 Ha! Well, we were never quite *that* primitive, but we know what you mean! Thanks!! :)

  • @Rapidnadion We've all done it atleast once. No shame in it. :P

  • I too have waited a while for this and, despite a few very small faults, this is brilliant!

  • I just saw you guys shoot on the east end! I live in Smithtown but I go to Mattituck every other weekend to see my grandparents. That's really cool that this happens right by me xD

  • @Brian567899 Hey! Always nice to meet a North Forker! Keep your eyes peeled for the RapidNadion logo on T-shirts when you're out East. We don't film often, but we do as much as we can!

  • yessssssssss

  • Great Split!

  • the fire can be a little bit realistic because when it Broke there must have been a blaze... obviously not a huge one :L but there must of been one due to the spit

  • Haha James Cameron were are you now lol good work its brilliant

  • epic

  • 0:42 Fire? It was on fire? Wow Amazing!

  • @starwarsfandude Yep - the separation system was a little overzealous in this video. :)

  • FANTASTIC!!!!

  • Awesome! I love it!

  • very awsome been waiting for ever!!!!!!!!

  • @titanicposeidonfan12 Thanks for waiting, friend!

  • Great job!

  • Great job I have been looking forward to this for a long time :)

  • @themagby2 So have we! Thanks for waiting! :)

  • Very Good

  • Amazing! Great job!!!!

  • very good! A ++++

    mikey

  • Yay, successful sinking.

  • thats awesome :D

  • Lovely model, good job! :)
