@ranyjan It all depends on what you wanna do. I don't recommend using several different programs though. Find the one that you're most comfortable with & stick with it. I've never touched fl or acid, but it's all a matter of preference.

@ranyjan To be honest, there isn't a particular software that is gonna be better than another for specific genres. If I recommend pro tools, you're gonna need a pro tools rig to go with it which could cost you tens of thousands, if I recommend logic pro, you're gonna need a mac. So again, the best program to use is one that you're most comfortable with. You can get the right sounds for your genre to work in any program. I know a lot of people starting out really like Reason tho.
