  • Why not loosen the coupler set screw first? wouldn't have to balance the motor in one hand while working the Allen wrench.

  • Thanks for making this video. Last month our GE motor (series 100 B&G pump) became faulty due to a failing internal start switch. I bought a "Mars" 1/8 HP motor on Ebay, described as a B&G replacement. It fits perfectly but is a little noisy in operation. I attribute it to being a cheaper motor. I ended up removing it from its frame (identical to your motor setup) and installing the motor in the existing GE frame.
