  • I'm going to see her for the fourth time in December.

  • It's called The Goodman (surprisingly!)and is on her CD 'Underneath the stars'. Seems to be another version of 7 drunken nights,

  • This is wonderful. What is the name of this song? Is it on any of her official releases?

  • Go Girl

  • Hi brother needs to chat a, Asian women busizz4me.info

  • Thanx for posting this. This song is a fav. Saw her back in '07 with my ex at Poole Arts Centre. Whenever I hear her I think of them but the sadness is not entirely unwelcome! :'-D

  • Poor fella, though he clearly new the score. Great lyrics and a great tune. This song always makes me smile.

  • >> As far as i know Kate Rusby is a Barnsley Lass

    Truth.

  • No, must be wrong Michael Parkinson & Dickie Bird come from Barnsley. Kate couldn't be associated with them, surely?!!

  • just wonderful.

  • I think she was born in a shoe box in the roof rack of a gypsy caravan on the way from fishing in a lake in Lancashire where she caught a trout which was gutted in Barnsley and eaten in Rhyll then the bones made a stock in Essex......you know, all you silly people who think it important which town an infant was born in are backward fools. Get over your parochial stupidity. You only make yourselves seem idiotic. Did you know that?

  • Isnt it all Yorkshire? as long as its not lan...shire ah.....ha ha.

  • Born on Dec 4, 1973 in Jessops Hospital, Sheffield......from website.! regards

  • She may have been born in a hospital in Sheffield but she has always lived in Barnsley: web site quite "Where went to school:..... Oxspring until I was eight, Cawthorne until I was 11, Penistone High until I was 13 and then Shelley High School, which was fab."

Or to put it another way I was born in an ambulance but it dont say place of birth Armley Giratory - Leeds on my birth cirtificate

  • Is there something wrong with Shieffield? Dont know i dont live there .

They wouldnt put Armley Giratory...theyd put Shieffield instead , as thats the town..sadly u seem 2b saying.

  • Born on Dec 4, 1973 in Jessops Hospital, Sheffield......from website.! regards

  • She was born in Shieffield...........

  • She was born in Barnsley- Cawthorne to be precise NOT Shieffield as you spilt it ;-)

  • look up her own web site.......born in shieffield.

  • Born on Dec 4, 1973 in Jessops Hospital, Sheffield......from website.! regards

  • Can anyone tell me the name of this track please?

  • It's called "The goodman", featured on Kate's 2003 album "Underneath the stars".

  • Cheers axturin! I think I'll buy the CD!

  • "Little Lights" is one of Kate's best CDs: you will need your tissue box for "Who will sing me Lullabies" and "My Young Man", and her latest CD, Awkward Annie has some good tracks - "The Old Man" is fun!

  • This lovely sounding lady sings the sound track for jam and jerusalem. Unlike the show she is brill. - and this comes from a Lancashire Lass!!!!!!!!!

  • I beg to differ, monkeydust. Jam & Jersusalem is brill as well! Her version of Village Green Preservation Society is wonderful.

  • Different strokes for different folks - rights Wyllough? Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

  • this girl has the most astonishing voice I have ever heard

  • Kate Rusby has the most phenomenal voice and stage presence I have ever encountered in my life, she is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love all of her songs really, she sings lovely

  • This is an unusual rhythm and as a non-musician I would like it explained to me. The effect is magic. The sound of the kerrywhistle is great.

  • This whole band is rich, I think they are doing a great job as a whole and, yes, Kate's voice is completely lovely - her accent's charming. The troup is making this sort of music especially winsome. It's so very well done!

  • Yeah I'm a Londoner and I love the accent, I have a friend from Leeds and hers is also lovely!

  • Went to see Kate in Poole on Oct 13th. She was fantastic!!! Her voice is sooooo unique. I love her accent!!!!!

  • Fantastic voice. I love the "flat cap and whippet" accent, best I've heard since the watersons many, many years ago.

  • She is fantastic and this is my favorite song!

  • I'm going to see her in Poole on Oct 13th. Really looking forward to it.

  • Kate is touring at the moment, she is in oxford on the 12/9 and Reading on the 13/9, I'll be in Oxford to see her.Check you area-she is a must.

  • I hear Kate is on Radio 2 with Mike Harding on the 15th August - 7pm BST - worth a listen I think!

  • Kate is the queen of folk.

  • Living? Quite possibly

  • maybe her videos are posted as Scottish in that her significant other [maybe husband] is John McCusker & I seem to remember her guesting on some Battlefield Band cd's. Also, atleast for an album or 2, she was with the Poozies.

  • why are most of her video's flagged as Scottish

  • because people are retards that assume too much.

  • shes a yorkshire lass muppet. and one of the best,

  • It's about time to buy me another Kate Rusby CD, I think.

  • Aye, Welsh girls can sing allright, that's a fact. but this gal is English, A Yorkshire Lass. Kate, you have the best voice around right now, BAR NONE.

  • A good ol Yorkshire lassie,

  • She's so not Welsh! Why would you think that? She's a Barnsley Lass

  • Kate Rusby is a Welsh goddess.. She is the most amazing female vocalist today. BAR NONE.

  • As far as i know Kate Rusby is a Barnsley Las
