this car is mostly stock..my auto 850 turbo runs a good 15.2 with a EST intanke..switching to manual will increase better times..plus this car Is the R model wich had more then the turbo..the time looks accurate,, if you put on more mods this would do nice 13's easily..with the right boost, and launch, you'll get there in the low 13's

What transmission do people tend to use when swapping an 850 T5? Will the stock trans from the naturally aspirated 850 hold up to the torque of the T5? Just wondering...

Nice 850R by the way; I'm hoping to get myself into a T5 soon, then swap a manual into it, and slowly transform it into a nice little sleeper ;)

The volvo 850 did not have 14-15 psi. They only have 9-12psi stock i own a 94 and i checked all the specs

Dude I work on VOLVO'S and tune them and there is no way that car runs those times with stock boost buddy.

I think yours might have a IPD ECU upgrade.

Otherwise SPEEDTUNING is the cheapest place to get the ECU re-programmed and the STAGE 2 tune takes it to 17psi.

Thats def. not stock buddy.Stock 850 R runs low 15's,high 14's.

You either have a chip or MBC turned up to about 17psi.

The figures your presenting appear to have came from some website albeedigital and the numbers they claim are absurd, they even claim the base turbo model to run as fast as the R model.. very reliable figures!

Today it runs 13's on the same ECU but with an 18T at 18psi and slicks. I think its do-able with a manual and traction.

@boxpin Maybe you are confused like most on VS are.Im saying theres no way a stock 850 R with 18 more bhp than a regular 850 T5 runs low 14s.Even gutted out with a 5 sp. swap its not possible for a 3400lb car with 240bhp to run low 14's.

And if your car only ran 15.0 with a tune I feel really bad for you.

MUSTANGS as well as beating a mid 13 sec 06 GT with bolt ons when I had a POS used fuel pump and my car wasnt running right.Another video of me running a 12 sec GT that gave me 1 car and never passed me byt the 1/4 mile mark.So no,Im not blwoing any smoke.You're just mad you're car sucks with way more work than mine.I would blow you're doors off any day of the week.
