Hi, I'm Rick Beyer, the filmmaker who made this film . I love the passion of the comments, and I am glad that people are using this in school. One comment says "a bunch of this is completely wrong." We actually worked very hard with both historian Robert Alison (Seen here with Steve Thomas) and the 5th Regiment Re-enactors to make it as accurate as we could. I think a discussion about what could make it more accurate would be very enlightening for all viewers.
the boston massacre was not a MASSACRE! the mob of people were shouting at the redcoats daring them to shot and they mistook their shouts for their commander's! so, the colonists of boston cause the 5 poor people, including crispus attucks, to be killed. and yet 2 redcoats were still charged with murder. it wasn't even their frickin fault! the colonists should at least take some blame for making the redcoats shoot instead of blaming the WHOLE thing on them!!!!!
I saw another renactment video recently which said there were 20,000 redcoats in Boston at the time. Sounded a little too large at the time I heard it, maybe the actor messed up the line.
The kid who gets knocked down actually did about two-dozen takes--getting hit by the soldier, falling to the ground--all in all about half an hour of hitting the bricks, literally--I lost count--unfortunately it was cut in a way that you don't see him fall. But he did--and time after time it looked very realistic!

This was decently done and they are actually in front of the Old State House which is nice, but a bunch of this is completely wrong!!!
