are you kidding? his arms are huge. maybe not a 300 lb world champion bodybuilder but, he did exactly what he said he would do. he used normal form until he got exhausted. trust me, even if you do cheat curls, after your arms are so tired, cheat curls will become very difficult and improve your strength/endurance.

drop sets hurt like a mofo. We do drop sets with the bench press a lot in football, i can usually bench 275-280, but doin a drop set startin at 195, doin down 10 pounds every set, i cant even do 135 without my spotter doin a massive curl basically. SO THIS CRAP WORKS!!! lol

Waste of time.a better bicep workout is to do a set of preacher curls.one warm up and then 1 set to failure and then do barbell curls.one warm up and then 1 set to failure followed by 2 drop sets but only for 2 to 3 reps on each drop set.the preacher pre fatigues the bicep and then the biceps failure first on the barbell curls instead of the forearms and shoulders...should be using a straight bar too as the e-zcurl works the brachialis not the bicep major which explains why this guy has no arms.

This was incredible; what a display of endurance. I don't understand the hecklers on these videos; like I just watched a video of a man deadlifting 700lbs about four times, and he had about 50 people on there criticizing him. And I suspect most, if not all of them, could deadlift that much weight--just as most of your critics couldn't do a 100 rep drop set of bicep curls--that is remarkable. I did some quick #s and you pulled 7,500 pnds! That's really good. I did this kinda training when i was between 15-22. Now that i'm in my thirties, i train strongman and flip tires and stuff. Training for strongman i only do DB hammer curls. I'm 32 now and stronger than ever. That type of training your doing built a great foundation for me. Also i'm starting to graze the surface of Olympic lifting. Good luck with your lifting. I encourage you to try both Strongman and Olympic training. see ya

well i thought you guys share videos and not all of them are of you. So i thought maybe you were that skinny ass punk in the red on the extreme natural bodybuilding vid.
I just tried that yesterday. But I started with 70 pounds on the straight bar curl with form, going down to 60,50,40,30,20. I did the 20 twenty times in a row then did 10 reps with thirty then another ten reps with forty pounds then stopped. My biceps got pretty dam sore when I was done and they bloated right out. I had a hard time wiping the sweat off my head because my arms were so dam fatigued. not to mention right before I did that drop set I worked out my triceps until failure as well.
Awesome... drop sets and other high intensity techniques (partial reps, super-sets, rest-pause, cheat reps, negatives, etc) will blast thru plateaus to new gains!
Now this form of training actually does have some scientific validity behind it. High reps of 30 to 40 done with control are used to increase capilerization and mitochondria proliferation, which are needed to supply bigger muscles with more blood (without which, bigger muscles would immediately atrophy). However, there's ways your training method could be improved. The law of least effort says you'll adapt better to 1 given stimulus at a time.
So while this training isn't WRONG, it can definitely be made better by the following.
1) Use this idea for larger muscles where your biceps will be involved, such as seated rows or seated pull downs. This will improve your overall VO2 and improve local endurance in the lats AND biceps, not just the biceps.
2) Moving more slowly, with a 2/2 candance is more specific for achieving the goal.
3) Pick a light weight and try to hit failure around 30 to 40. 100 is probably unnecessary.
Oh and also, at the beginning of the vid, you say "you can try this at home if you'd like" - at the end of the vid, you say "dont try this at home". Which is it? And why cant we try any of the moves in your video at home? Do you believe they're too dangerous for home use?

* i think arm routines like yours belong in any number of joe weider's magazines for juiced athletes.

I'm going to have a go at it, but I can only start on something like 40kg's as I can't realistically lift more for 10 reps. HAHA! I enjoyed it anyway.

i have studied arnold for 15 years. read all his books including the book pumping iron. arnold says there is nothing wrong with cheat curls. the term was coined as an actual exercise. there is a time and a place for them when the mucsle is exhausted so go fuck yourself and do a little research. if you knew arnold, you would eat your words.

This was incredible; what a display of endurance. I don't understand the hecklers on these videos; like I just watched a video of a man deadlifting 700lbs about four times, and he had about 50 people on there criticizing him. And I suspect most, if not all of them, could deadlift that much weight--just as most of your critics couldn't do a 100 rep drop set of bicep curls--that is remarkable. Jealously is indeed one of the greatest sins isn't it. Great effort man

I did some quick #s and you pulled 7,500 pnds! That's really good. I did this kinda training when i was between 15-22. Now that i'm in my thirties, i train strongman and flip tires and stuff. Training for strongman i only do DB hammer curls. I'm 32 now and stronger than ever. That type of training your doing built a great foundation for me. Also i'm starting to graze the surface of Olympic lifting. Good luck with your lifting. I encourage you to try both Strongman and Olympic training. see ya

Stripping weights is unbelievably pointless. How about doing inclination sets instead and getting your muscle to fail at a heigher weight. Basically all you're doing is wasting energy, thinking you've accomplished more by lifting less each time. And watch that body sway at least do them proper.

So...one doctor's study is what you base your workout off of... How about studying what actual bodybuilders or great athletes do to build muscle instead. Because I've watched people in the gym for four years now that do dropsets every week and they have made absolutely no progress with building muscle or definition. Plus, you don't have to be an asshole to everyone who disagrees with your "EXTREME training." How about being modest and taking a different view into consideration.

I just tried that yesterday. But I started with 70 pounds on the straight bar curl with form, going down to 60,50,40,30,20. I did the 20 twenty times in a row then did 10 reps with thirty then another ten reps with forty pounds then stopped. My biceps got pretty dam sore when I was done and they bloated right out. I had a hard time wiping the sweat off my head because my arms were so dam fatigued. not to mention right before I did that drop set I worked out my triceps until failure as well.

Awesome... drop sets and other high intensity techniques (partial reps, super-sets, rest-pause, cheat reps, negatives, etc) will blast thru plateaus to new gains!

Now this form of training actually does have some scientific validity behind it. High reps of 30 to 40 done with control are used to increase capilerization and mitochondria proliferation, which are needed to supply bigger muscles with more blood (without which, bigger muscles would immediately atrophy). However, there's ways your training method could be improved. The law of least effort says you'll adapt better to 1 given stimulus at a time.

So while this training isn't WRONG, it can definitely be made better by the following.
1) Use this idea for larger muscles where your biceps will be involved, such as seated rows or seated pull downs. This will improve your overall VO2 and improve local endurance in the lats AND biceps, not just the biceps.
2) Moving more slowly, with a 2/2 candance is more specific for achieving the goal.
3) Pick a light weight and try to hit failure around 30 to 40. 100 is probably unnecessary.

I agree re- compound movements, and that such high volume isn't necessary for the effect, but slow reps not always the best in this case.
