I've always wanted to see some quick great rock licks for drop D tuning.. This couldn't be much better. Perfect. Very easy to pick up for the intermediate player, and much of it wouldn't be difficult for a beginner .

@metalshredder161 No. Drop D is standard tuning with the low E tuned a whole step down. Drop C is the entire guitar tuned a full step down, and then you drop the Low E (or in this case the D) down to a C.

@guitarteacher Thing is, that shape is actually A LOT easier to play in standard tuning. It's the same shape in E tuning as a 9th power chord in drop D.
