@cantore35 you are talking nonsense. They are actually called the Van Allen belts not the bloody gravity belt. Nasa plotted a safe path which had low levels of radiation through these belts which took only a couple of hours to pass through. Exposure to the astronauts would have had no more of an effect than two or three x-rays.
