I don't care at all about the wiggle - however if you took the time to read my comments you would have learned that the AT&T rep said my warranty was VOID because of the wiggle. AT&T, to their credit, did end up sending me a replacement unit that works just fine.
dude if a little bit of wiggle in your phones charger is the bigest problem in your life you need a better life. what the hells the big deal about that tiny tiny wiggle
AT&T has horrible 3g coverage, Verizon has a faster 3G coverage and 5x more coverage than AT&T's spotty map. Some of my friends have AT&T as their cell phone carrier, and they said their coverage sucks, which is why I have Verizon, and it's rumored that the iPhone 4 & iTablet will be added to Verizon's network.
RIMM makes blackberrys. Not AT&T. Your title should say RIMM Sucks.... People always blame their carrier when it is usually their own fault, or the fault of the phone.
AT&T _sells_ the Blackberry and handles the warranty for the ones they sell. Yes, it IS a bad design from RIMM - however - AT&T was the one refusing to stand behind the product they sold.
The charging stand is the only way to avoid the inherent weakness of the USB charging connector.
@jerry4260 actually even verizon and t- mobile are not going to cover that either its RIM fault for using that charge/usb port. and RIM has a warrenty program that would cover that, so why would AT&T cover something that RIM already has under warrenty- I must agree you are blaming the wrong people they might steal your money otherways but this isnt oned of them :/
hey, i got the same problem. i tired two cord chargers, a dock that uses the side port, and two computer chargers and it still won't work. any ideas?? message me if you can help. thanks
dude, I have my Quickfire. they told me the same thing just because I dropped it. Once, due to physical damage. That's not the thing though, the touchscreen absolutely sucks! big time! and i wanna trade it in, oh you gotta pay $100 for outside warranty and $100 for physical damage. THEY CAN FIX THE NICK IN THE PHONE, REFURBISH IT! So dumb..
i had the same problem. you might wanna try using a diffrent charger cuz it turned out that it was a poblem with the charger not the blackberry itself
I have the same problem with my 8100, and get this, blackberry will not even touch it, they said I had to take it up with my provider, centennial wireless, and they told me I had to go to Blackberry. After 6 phone calls, literally, and a trip to the store, I find out in fact Blackberry will not service there own product!! Because of some bull about no agreement signed btw Centennial. So centennial is going to fix it after all, but like you say, out of warranty.
I agree AT&T Sucks. Currently I am at the executive CS team of the Presiden working with Nelda Washington. If you would like to chat with her, her direct line is 336-286-5425. Give her a call, she might be able to help.
Between work and my personal accounts, I have 9 Blackberry Curves and they all have EXACTLY the same amount of wiggle in the connector from the day they were new.

Legally ATT is just as liable for a product defect of a product they sell as the manufacturer of said product. At least in the united states.

ok ... your the only person i know that has had nine blackberrys with the same problem.
where are you buying them from? they could possibly be refurbished if you are buying them from ebay.
garrettg95 3 years ago
ur stupid it has to do with u yanking the charger out instead of carefully removing it .
garrettg95 3 years ago
Yup, that must be the problem. I am stupid :-)

Wait... if the Blackberry is the one that has the problem, why does AT&T suck? Blackberry is manufactured by RIM.
Lerek 3 years ago
Wait? My issue is with how AT&T handled the problem.
