@J0NNO It is Audioslave. In the liner notes of the Axis of Justice Vol 1 album, it says it was recorded during their show at Aubrun, Wa, 08.23.03.... I was there so, I can back that up ;)
There is no drowning out going on here. This is a live recording and Cornell and Keenan sound great! This is a Cornell cover and meant to feature him and Keenan sings a really nice harmony.
maynard and chris are my 2 favourite singers EVER....a duet is fucking epic...imagine a rage against the machine reunion with chris and maynard......blow my fucking mind
Unfortunatly no, this is album was not created by audioslave, they only did the music, and then some other people on the internet got a hold of the songs, and made these album pix and stuff.
Hey CCashleyJD90, was the song under a different name on the Axis of Justice album. I was thinking about purchasing it, but I don't see "Peace, Love, and Understanding" on the track listing. Thanks!
@soundslave This was actually put together by Axis of Justice, an organisation founded by Tom Morello and Serj Tankian, with the purpose of bringing musicians together to promote world peace, grassroots activism and stuff. There are also songs recorded with Bono, Flea, Slash, etc. No bullshit. :)
let's not forget the classic original by elvis costello - v=84jBSBXAsJk = just superb...

@dreamawaythemiles . Think the original was by Brinsley Swartz. You are right though, brilliantly covered by elvis

living to the end
I wish that I could have a coming home
from my own personal war
with cheers and waving
I wish peace
I wish love
but I know the war will come again
Will we ready for the struggle
that comes from living to the end

Fuckin' A, man. Nobody like Maynard James Keenan and Chris Cornell (and Robert Plant) when it comes to vocalists.

Nick Lowe is an underrated songwriter.

Chris is just too damn loud. Not only in comparison to Maynard, but also to the guitar.
ndvak13 1 year ago
@ndvak13 You're right. I can barely hear Maynard at all. Someone needs to equal out the PA.

maynard is singing backup that's why

Maynard may be getting overpowered, but his voice is still beautiful in the back ground.
linian89 2 years ago
chris kind of drowns maynard out. maynard doesn't like to over power people, he's kind of polite that way haha
