Hi Wizwaddle. You have some very well-done videos on locks, and I've learned a lot from them. My only comment is that I find the background music a bit distracting, and I would much rather hear you explaining more details of what you are doing. That's just my personal taste, though, and maybe your other viewers like the music. Anyway, keep them coming!
Commonly called a 234. it has a case hardened shackle that was very easy to cut with bolt cutters because when they were heat treated they were done in a huge pile in a 200litre drum and they were all touching each other.
The original key way was called C4. The original key in this would have been a profile called C4 5BR ( 5 pin brass )
look @ any rail junction box...see my vid on how EZ they are to bypass..and i own several 234-45's and this is not one of them...(predates assa buyout)

there was copyrighted music in the background so YT disabled audio

This is a lockwood 234/45

The logo on this padlock is the original logo used up until the 1950's. It was stamped on all of Lockwood's locks from the start.
Happy collecting :o)
ihaveairlockers 3 years ago
thank you...i will come see you for all my lock-related questions on Aus. locks, and whatnot..you seem to really know your stuff =)
wizwazzle 3 years ago
oh, btw i was told by an aussie locky it was an LW-1 key profile,
does that sound right?
wizwazzle 3 years ago
Ooh, yes, that sounds about right...
The profile you have could be anything but it is probably a LW1 or C4, something like that yes..
I can't be sure
I can always find out more....
