hey all jewish people i am not jewish and i am not againts you guys..lol..in fact i am not againts every other religion..but i am just wondering if jewish girls can also celebrate a Bar Vitzvah :D
This is very nice, I don't know much about the Jewish faith but it seems very interesting Thank you for putting this up! (also it doesn't matter if he was circumcised or not its just a sign of their faith and Covenant with God)
For your information, the whole idea was Noam's, not that is any of your business. If anything, he was abusing my atheism. It is part of his ancient and proud heritage as a member of the Jewish people and Noam wanted to experience it. I am very proud of my son and stand by his decision.
OK, you got me on that one. As an Israeli, Noam would face a lot more abuse if he wasn't circumcized - the locker room or army Ask any of the Russian immigrants of recent years. Let them describe the excrutiating pain they go through as adults subjecting themselves to circumcision for the sake of fitting in. I agree it's barbaric, but it's a fundmental part of who we are and to put him through the peer torment who would be greater abuse in my opinion.
@MichaelJamesMaidment It is called a tradition you troll. Religion has brought a lot of good things into this world. Culture, holidays, language etc. Only people with class respect other religions and cultures. All of us respect your atheism your beliefs are none of our business, however that dose not give you a license to insult other peoples religions. There is a nation were there is no religion what so ever in the
Bible god commands people to murder babies in the time of Saul for the sins of their ancestors 400 years prior during the Exodus:
This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.' [1 Samuel 15:2-4]
Your a idiot just like Hitler! The word Aryan and the Swastik symbol was stolen from Indian. He was too dumb enough to be original and come up with his own shit. He's raciest but he uses other peoples ideas. Maybe you should google the word Aryan more to know what it actually means and where it came from. Burn in hell!
It's a tradition in Israel to throw toffees at Bar Mitzvah kids. The Torah Reading was on a Thursday and on a religious kibbutz, like most of the country, dress is very informal. Since it was on a weekday, many of the people wore their work clothes. This is in complete opposite of the practice in the States to dress up.
He didn't wear a tallit since the Orthodox tradition is that only married men wear tallitot. Any head covering is acceptable, even a baseball cap, as long as the head is covered.
Yarmulke is Yiddish. Kippah(kippot) is Hebrew. Many Jews wear them constantly to always be reminded of the presence of G-d, and to be humble to Him in all that they do^^
Noam and Danny. Congratulations on your Bar Mitzvah. I have been to three where i live and it is such a special time and I know it is for you too. God Bless You.
This is Noam's Dad. Thank you for your good wishes. We live in Israel on a kibbutz that borders on Gaza. Our family is not religious but Noam wanted a proper Bar Mitzva ceremony and it was held at the synagogue of a neighboring religious kibbutz. I shall be happy to answer any questions you have if I can. Where do you live?
Little explanation of the video but I take it this Bar Mitzvah was in Israel. It was wonderful to see such competence with the readings and the melody. My own Bar Mitzvah was like that in New York, nearly 50 years ago. Although I am not religious I miss the ritual. Nice that the Bar Mitzvah was apparently not on the sabbath as the bar mitzvah boy was wearing tfillin. Beautiful natural atmosphere of the whole thing.
You made me so proud, you did a great job reading the Torah. Today you truly are a man. I just wish I could have been there in person but this was a great substitute. Give Nitzan and your sisters a big hug and kiss from me. Have a great day, you earned it! Love, cousin Tsvika from San Francisco
@yaaman34 Hitler hated Jews because he messed up school and had to become a hobo during this time he started to hate rich people i.e Jews
superpiemonster 9 hours ago
Why is everybody hatin on jews?
For your info, Hitler had NO ABSOLUTE reason to hate jews.
He just hated him. Period.
Now there are all these idiots who think theyre badass cause they hate jews.
Those idiots deserve to burn up and rot in hell.
