are there any tests for the gameplay speed? i found that gameplay are not very smooth with usbloader. it is obvious when playing with racing games like Mario Kart. Does anyone know how to improve the speed?
Thanks a lot for this demonstration! Some noob was trying to tell me that even USB loaders played games at only 3x instead of 6x when I tried to say it was actually faster than a retail disc. Now I can link him to this :-P
Well its awesome, I think this beats the Nintendo Update of 32GB for Wiiware and VC content...
I wonder if this works with an 2TB External Drive (Dual Bay SATA 300 1TB each bay) ...
one its partitioned as NTFS
second its partitioned as FAT 32
Someone could tell me if this kind of External Drive (Dual Bay enclosure ) will work with the USB Loader 1.1? I mean would it support such 1TB or even 2TB?
yea it should work with the usb loader 1.4 but it kinda make that drive useless and only usable for the wii because it formats it to some random format
yes. the usb drive needs to be in WBFS format though, which cant be read by windows lol. fortunately the Wii USB loader puts it into WBFS format for you (if it's a compatible USB device).
so to put games from your computer onto it, you'd have to use a WBFS tool. easy to find :) either that, or you could burn your iso to a disc and then dump it to the USB drive with the usb loader.
wiiflow is the best loader out there:D it supports ntfs, fat32 and wbfs. AND, it has the best GUI

@bidor use cios 259 rev21 with base ios 57 to make gameplay speed with usb loaders become better than on original

this is a short demo. Now we need a speed test of Bully, that game take f'ing ages to load anything.

i do know that 1TB drives work.
i've seen two people that have confirmed it working. however they both partitioned their drives.
one partitioned to 200GB and the other 300GB and used the 2/300GB to store games.
in my own experience i dont think that anything over a 500GB partition works. but i could be wrong :P

Well as long the HDD works, I can partition anything Xp
I got 2, 1TB White Label HDD inside a Dual Bay Enclosure.
But I havent test them, the stupid AC Adapter of the enclosure died for no reason, ohh yes it Was A PEACE OF CRAP!!
Worst thing its that the Company Will send another Enclosure, but with the same AC Adapter, I think The all the same for those Dual Bay enclosures...
Thanks for letting me know that!
WBFS Manager and Channel Maker 2.0 its out!!

to use them, the first partition would have to be WBFS. USB Loader GX can handle partitioning on your wii, as well as do this in the video.

CFG supports NTSF and FAT32, and GX supports FAT32

is the usb loader actually that fast
WiiHacker213 2 years ago
Yes. I believe it can vary depending on whatever USB device you're using, but mine loads just as fast as this.
Example: Madworld normally takes about a minute or two for me to get into a game, wit hthe HDD it takes around 40 seconds.
