Lovely - this was one of my favourite hymns and the last time I heard it was at junior school in the mid-1960s. Such a shame so many old hymns seem to be so rarely sung any more.

I use to have a friend, who was 19 years old. He was an army Corporal. He always loved to have a laugh and to joke around, he was a great man and I wish I was more like him. Unfortunately he was shot twice in his stomach and kidney. He then died later in a tent. His parents had passed away, he had no children, his girlfriend had broken up with him two weeks before. Today I heard this song, and remembered him, and while I was listening to it again and again, it really made me reflect on his life.

I do have an iTunes collection of Libera but I think part of the pleasure of these YouTube videos in actually seeing them. They are so poised and they really put the heart into their singing. Notice their facial expressions. I'd like to see some more music videos by Libera maybe put on iTunes.

Hmm... because it never was resolved when this version and the other version of Ed singing this song (with the castle) were filmed I shall add my point. I'm fairly sure the other one was filmed first, in 2005, then this one was filmed in 2006, broadcasted in 2007. Feel free to disagree with me :P

thats true.. but i hope you now they record songs in different places, like sanctus, or far away (check em out!) and if you look at micheal horncastle there, compared to NOW you'll see that he has aged at least a couple of years (duh) so this is not a 2007 =D
