As a previous boxer, boxing coach and instructor of boxercise (not the invention that people think they have the right to charge you to learn to instruct). I have tried on several occasions to teach correct technique to clients. Ultimately they are not there to learn to box but have fun in different ways. After some time of coming where technique is quickly worked on in the warm up they do start to show technique. But this is one step at a time. Good enthusiasm going on here

for all you negative nancys leaving comments, there not training to be boxers there using boxer style exercises to loose weight, look at the people taking part alll 40+ mostly woman what you expecting ? there all sweating an moving alot so there losing weight which is the aim of this class, there training to be boxers!!!!!
They have smiles on there faces, there heart rate is up, they're sweating and they're all taking part and not giving up.... looks good to me.

@TheTramsen boxercise is done differently by different instructors,,, for example i would never get my class to do a ''star jump punch'' thats just me tho.
@H0tkebab if you notice, I stand next to the people who i see are working out in-correctly & re-show them the exercise. i.e abs, alt squat thrusts. These guys are in the middle of a manic bootcamp week, so are exauhsted. I can see that a few of them have poor boxing pad technique, which i do correct. But the main aspect of this workout is cardio-vascular. The next boxing session they do is a pad technique workout which focuses on the correct, jab cross, upper cuts and hooks.

If you experience anything like this, walk away. It's a really poor example of an exercise class.
