China should show the world how it has developed Tibet and brought adavancement to Tibet. Initially I did not agree Tibet is part of China but once I study more of Tibet and China's history, I tend to agree Tibet is part of China. Also, China should be sensitive to Tibet's culture and not force its belief to Tibetians. Also, what's Hongkie singers got to do with Olympics?

Ya, I guess for countries that don't really perform well in the olympics, Japan for example, don't really care about the Olympics. But for the big medal winners, US, China, Russia, it is a big deal. Especially the latter two.

I'm a US citizen. Nobody I know much cares about this kind of stuff. And I doubt many people will attend who are not CHinese. CHina has a pretty bad rep not only with human rights, but air quality, food, cleanliness, etc. NOt any place I would want to go back to even for something like the Olympics. I was in China for about 6 weeks. The South was beautiful. Beijing was nothing special. Maybe it has changed? I hope so. I just remember a lot of people hacking up gobs of phlegm EVERYWHERE. poor air
